Siege of Lal Masjid

The Lal Masjid (Urdu: لال مسجد; transl. Red Mosque) is a mosque located in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. It is located near Abpara Market. It was constructed in 1966 and is one of the oldest mosques in the city. It was also the largest mosque in the city for twenty years, until the Faisal Mosque was built in 1986. The mosque later came to be known as the site of a siege which led to a military operation by the Pakistan Army against the leaders and students of the mosque, resulting in hundreds of deaths.

Jamia Syeda Hafsa (Urdu: جامعہ سیدہ حفصہ), commonly known as Jamia Hafsa (Urdu: جامعہ حفصہ, romanized: Jamiya Hafsah), is a Deobandi Islamic university adjacent to the Lal Masjid in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The madrassah was established in 1992 by Maulana Abdullah Ghazi, who remained the Chancellor until he was assassinated by unknown gunmen in October 1998. The seminary is considered as the largest women's madrasa in Pakistan.

Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) is the oldest boys college in Islamabad, Pakistan, under the administration of Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). It is situated in Sector G-6/3 near Melody and Siraj Covered Markets.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad is the diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan to Pakistan. It is located at Plot 1D and 1E in Diplomatic Encave II, Islamabad. The embassy is concurrently accredited to Afghanistan.Azerbaijan and Pakistan established diplomatic relations in June 1992, soon after the former gained independence. The Azerbaijani embassy in Islamabad was established on 24 August 1997.The current Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan is Ali Alizada, appointed in July 2016. Various diplomatic staff are posted at the mission, along with a defense attaché.

Rose and Jasmine Garden is a public garden located within the recreational area of Shakarparian near Sports Complex Aabpara, on Kashmir Highway in Islamabad, Capital Territory, Pakistan.The garden runs under the administration of Capital Development Authority. It contains various varieties of flowers and herbs in it, especially roses and jasmines. The garden is located near Pakistan-China center, it is accessible through Pakistan's monument road. People who visit Pakistan Monument and Shakarparian also pay visit to this stunning garden.

The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) (Urdu: قومی مقتدرہِ اندراجات و معطیات) is an independent and autonomous agency under the control of the Interior Secretary of Pakistan that regulates government databases and statistically manages the sensitive registration database of all the National Citizens of Pakistan. Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar is serving as the Chairman since 2 October 2023. NADRA is also responsible for issuing Computerised National Identity Cards to the citizens of Pakistan, maintaining their sensitive informational upgraded in the government databases, and securing national identities of the citizens of Pakistan from being stolen and theft. It is one of the largest government database institutions, employing more than 24,000 people in more than 900 domestic offices and ten international offices. Codified by the Second Amendment, §30 of the Constitution of Pakistan in 2000, the Constitution grants powers to NADRA to enact civil registration and sensitive databases of Pakistan's citizens; all databases are kept to ensure the safety of citizens' databases.

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad is the diplomatic mission of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Pakistan. As of 2017 a new embassy was being constructed in the Diplomatic Enclave of Islamabad, to become Afghanistan's largest embassy abroad. The last Afghan ambassador to Pakistan before the fall of the Islamic Republic to the Taliban was Najibullah Alikhel. In July 2021, Afghanistan recalled its diplomats over allegations by Alikhel's daughter Silsila that she had been kidnapped and beaten, which Pakistan denied. In October 2021, despite not recognizing the new government, Pakistan allowed the Taliban to assign diplomats to the embassy as well as the Afghan consulates in Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

The Pakistan Engineering Council (Urdu: پاکستان انجینئرنگ کونسل‎; acronym: PEC) is a professional body for accreditation of engineering education and regulation of engineering profession in Pakistan. It was established on 10 January 1976 by the Parliament under the PEC Act, 1976. The council also registers engineers and professional engineers and grants license to consulting and constructing/operating engineering firms working in Pakistan.

The PHA Foundation, (موَسسہ پی ایچ اے) short form for Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation, (Urdu: پاکستان موَسسہَ اختیاریہ برائے اقامت کاری) is a government body based in Islamabad, Pakistan, with offices in Lahore (31.454055°N 74.239937°E / 31.454055; 74.239937) and Karachi (24.924614°N 67.142528°E / 24.924614; 67.142528). The PHA Foundation controls and helps in building housing societies and communities in modern ways. It was established on May 18, 1999 to help improving housings. This organization is controlled by the Ministry of Housing and Works (Pakistan) of which MAULANA ABDUL WASAY is serving as federal minister.

Jinnah Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 48,000 people and is the largest stadium in Pakistan.
