Episcopal School of Acadiana

Ascension Episcopal School (AES), formally known as Ascension Day School (ADS), is a Private school in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. It was founded in 1959 and consists of three separate campuses consisting of a preschool, an elementary school, a middle school, and a high school. It is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest.

Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club is a private golf club in the southeastern United States, located in Broussard, Louisiana. The Chitimacha Louisiana Open is played annually at Le Triomphe. Le Triomphe is one of only two Louisiana courses that hosts a PGA Tour-sanctioned event.

The Dulcito Plantation is a historic house built c. 1850, and formally was a Southern plantation, located at 5918 West Old Spanish Trail (LA 182) in New Iberia, Louisiana. This is one of the few remaining buildings of the area that highlights the pre-Civil War architectural heritage, despite having some alterations. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 22, 1994.

Naval Air Station New Iberia, located near New Iberia, Louisiana, was a short-lived training facility of the United States Navy which operated for a mere five years in the 1960s. The naval base at New Iberia was actually designated NAAS, indicating that it was a Naval Auxiliary Air Station. The U.S. Navy airfield identifier for New Iberia was KNIL.

Acadiana Regional Airport (IATA: ARA, ICAO: KARA, FAA LID: ARA) is a public use airport in Iberia Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is owned by Iberia Parish, managed by the Iberia Parish Airport Authority and is located four nautical miles (7 km) northwest of the central business district of New Iberia, Louisiana near U.S. 90 (future Interstate 49).From 1960 to 1965 it was operated by the U.S. Navy as Naval Auxiliary Air Station New Iberia as an advanced flight training base with Training Squadron Twenty Seven (VT-27) as the principal assigned unit. VT-27 operated TS-2A Tracker aircraft, modified versions of the Grumman S-2 Tracker with antisubmarine warfare (ASW) equipment removed and converted for use as multi-piston engine trainers. NAAS New Iberia was closed in 1965 when VT-27 was reassigned to NAS Corpus Christi, Texas and control of the airfield reverted to the local civilian government.

Southside High School is a high school located in the city of Youngsville, Louisiana, and is a part of the Lafayette Parish School System. It located in the southern area of the parish. The school is the newest school in the parish, opening for the 2017–2018 school year, with the first graduating class being the class of 2020. Construction began in late April 2016, and finished in August 2017. The school is funded by the USDA.

Dupleix House is a historic house located at 106 Lafayette Street in Youngsville, Louisiana. Built c.1895 as a single story cottage and enlarged c.1910 by Pierre Alcide Dupleix, the house is a large two-story frame residence with Queen Anne and Colonial Revival elements. To the rear of the house there are two sheds which are considered contributing elements.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 4, 1984.

The population was 8,105 at the 2010 U.S. census, and 15,929 at the 2020 United States census.Youngsville was the birthplace of Louisiana businessman and politician Dudley J. LeBlanc, the entrepreneur of the Hadacol fortune of the 1950s. Bernard LeBas of Ville Platte has represented Evangeline and St. Landry parishes in the Louisiana House of Representatives since 2008. He is a former resident of Youngsville.
