The Saville Community Sports Centre is a sports facility run by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation, where it is located in Edmonton, Alberta. It features a curling rink, tennis courts and a gymnasium. Opened in 2003, the centre currently serves as the national training centre for curling in Canada. Its curling facilities include ten sheets, and is home to a membership of nearly 2000 curlers, making it the curling club with the largest membership list in the world.The club is home to many of the top curling teams in the world, including Olympic gold medallist Kevin Martin, Brier champion Kevin Koe, Randy Ferbey, Ted Appelman, Chris Schille, Cathy King, Heather Nedohin and Val Sweeting. A West Wing, added in 2011, is Canada's largest hardwood installation, and the home of the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas basketball and volleyball teams.Saville hosted the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship. The centre is also home to eight indoor tennis courts and nine outdoor courts, a fitness centre, a 9000 sq. ft. gym, and "Kevin's Rocks-N-Racquets" Pro Shop, run by Kevin Martin himself. The Saville Community Sports Centre was named for Bruce Saville, a businessman and philanthropist in Edmonton.

South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta. It is served by the Capital Line. It is a ground-level station located on the University of Alberta's South Campus approximately two blocks to the west of the site originally proposed for the station on 113 Street.

The Alberta School for the Deaf is a provincial school in Edmonton, Alberta with elementary and secondary residential and day programs serving deaf and hard-of-hearing students.Teachers are both deaf and hearing. Alberta School for the Deaf is modeled on a bilingual-bicultural approach. The total enrollment, including the elementary school, is 100 as of 2020–21. Students from across Alberta and the Northwest Territories attend the school.Deaf students from Canada often attend Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. for post-secondary programs.

McKernan/Belgravia station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta. It is served by the Capital Line, and is the least used station on the LRT system. It is a ground-level station located on 114 Street at 76 Avenue. The station, located between the Health Sciences/Jubilee station and the South Campus/Fort Edmonton Park station, provides service to the neighborhoods of Belgravia and McKernan. The station closed for platform repairs and tile replacement on May 3, 2020 and reopened in late July 2020.

Cross Cancer Institute is the comprehensive cancer centre for northern Alberta. The institute, named for Wallace Warren Cross, is located in Edmonton near the southwest corner of the University of Alberta, and is one of two tertiary cancer centres in the province. The Cross Cancer Institute is a lead centre for the province-wide prevention, research and treatment program. The centre provides inpatient and outpatient services for cancer patients, advanced medical and supportive cancer care, and patient and professional education. The Cross Cancer Institute conducts research through the Alberta Cancer Research Institute.The Department of Oncology, a branch of the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, is located at the Cross Cancer Institute. The department offers training in medical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care medicine, and medical physics.

Edmonton-Parkallen was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1971 to 1993.

Health Sciences/Jubilee station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It serves both the Capital Line and the Metro Line. As of 2021, it is the southern terminus of the Metro Line. It is a ground-level station located at 114 Street at 83 Avenue on the University of Alberta's main campus.

The University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) is a research and teaching hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Alberta and run by Alberta Health Services, the health authority for Alberta. It is one of Canada's leading health sciences centres, providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment services to inpatients and outpatients. The UAH treats over 700,000 patients annually.The University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Stollery Children's Hospital co-reside within the large Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WMC) and act as embedded "hospitals within a hospital." With 650, 146 and 89 inpatient beds in the three hospitals, respectively, WMC has an estimated total of 885 beds. Combined, this makes the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre one of the largest hospitals in Western Canada, exceeding the Royal Alexandra Hospital's 869 beds, but behind Calgary's Foothills Medical Centre. The Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute is located in a new expansion to the WMC that opened on May 1, 2008.Because of UAH, the surrounding area has become part of a healthcare cluster that also includes the Cross Cancer Institute, the Heritage Medical Research Building, the Zeidler Ledcor Center, the Katz Group/Rexall Center for Pharmacy and Health Research, the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, and the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy. The whole complex is served by the Health Sciences/Jubilee light rail transit station and the University station.

The Stollery Children's Hospital is a 218 bed children's hospital that opened in October 2001. It is a "hospital within a hospital," being situated within the University of Alberta Hospital and co-located with Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.The hospital, which was run by Capital Health before being merged in 2008 into Alberta Health Services, is named for Bob and Shirley Stollery, who provided the original donation which helped with the creation of the hospital.

The Universiade Pavilion, better known as the Butterdome, is a 5,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on the campus of the University of Alberta. It was built for the 1983 Summer Universiade. While the official name of the facility is the Universiade Pavilion, because of its rectangular shape and bright yellow exterior, locals quickly began referring to it as the Butterdome. Today, even the University of Alberta often uses this nickname to refer to this structure.The upper sections of the regular seating are permanently mounted, while the lower sections are collapsible to increase the space available on the floor. During the University Games, the capacity was increased to 11,000 using temporary bleachers. Facilities at the Pavilion include: 6-lane rubberized 200m indoor track (10-lane 60m sprint straightaway) 4 basketball/volleyball/tennis courts 4 badminton courts Long jump and pole vault Wrestling roomThe facility also hosts indoor soccer, flatball, and field hockey games.

Clare Drake Arena is a 3,009-seat multi-purpose arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is home to the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas ice hockey teams and was named after former University of Alberta Golden Bears hockey coach, Clare Drake, who led the Golden Bears to 697 career wins.
