The University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) is a research and teaching hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Alberta and run by Alberta Health Services, the health authority for Alberta. It is one of Canada's leading health sciences centres, providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment services to inpatients and outpatients. The UAH treats over 700,000 patients annually.The University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Stollery Children's Hospital co-reside within the large Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WMC) and act as embedded "hospitals within a hospital." With 650, 146 and 89 inpatient beds in the three hospitals, respectively, WMC has an estimated total of 885 beds. Combined, this makes the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre one of the largest hospitals in Western Canada, exceeding the Royal Alexandra Hospital's 869 beds, but behind Calgary's Foothills Medical Centre. The Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute is located in a new expansion to the WMC that opened on May 1, 2008.Because of UAH, the surrounding area has become part of a healthcare cluster that also includes the Cross Cancer Institute, the Heritage Medical Research Building, the Zeidler Ledcor Center, the Katz Group/Rexall Center for Pharmacy and Health Research, the Kaye Edmonton Clinic, and the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy. The whole complex is served by the Health Sciences/Jubilee light rail transit station and the University station.

The Stollery Children's Hospital is a 218 bed children's hospital that opened in October 2001. It is a "hospital within a hospital," being situated within the University of Alberta Hospital and co-located with Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.The hospital, which was run by Capital Health before being merged in 2008 into Alberta Health Services, is named for Bob and Shirley Stollery, who provided the original donation which helped with the creation of the hospital.

The Universiade Pavilion, better known as the Butterdome, is a 5,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on the campus of the University of Alberta. It was built for the 1983 Summer Universiade. While the official name of the facility is the Universiade Pavilion, because of its rectangular shape and bright yellow exterior, locals quickly began referring to it as the Butterdome. Today, even the University of Alberta often uses this nickname to refer to this structure.The upper sections of the regular seating are permanently mounted, while the lower sections are collapsible to increase the space available on the floor. During the University Games, the capacity was increased to 11,000 using temporary bleachers. Facilities at the Pavilion include: 6-lane rubberized 200m indoor track (10-lane 60m sprint straightaway) 4 basketball/volleyball/tennis courts 4 badminton courts Long jump and pole vault Wrestling roomThe facility also hosts indoor soccer, flatball, and field hockey games.

St. Joseph's College is a Catholic, undergraduate, liberal arts college on the University of Alberta campus. It also serves as a residence and place of worship. It is affiliated with the University of Alberta and the Archdiocese of Edmonton, and is currently operated by the Basilian Fathers. Its courses, residences, and campus ministry services are open to all University of Alberta students, and all of its courses are 3-credit University of Alberta Arts electives. St. Joseph’s College provides academic programs which are supported and enhanced by a worshiping community, campus ministry programs, and residences for both male and female students. Though affiliated with the Catholic Church, it is open to all peoples and beliefs.

Clare Drake Arena is a 3,009-seat multi-purpose arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is home to the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas ice hockey teams and was named after former University of Alberta Golden Bears hockey coach, Clare Drake, who led the Golden Bears to 697 career wins.

The University of Alberta Students' Union is the student society that represents undergraduate students at the University of Alberta. Originally established in 1909, it is a non-profit corporation that operates under the authority of the Post-Secondary Learning Act (Alberta). Its membership consists of the roughly 34,000 undergraduate students enrolled at the university. With an annual budget of approximately $14,000,000 and hundreds of paid and volunteer staff, the Students' Union serves as an advocate for students and provides a variety of services to its members. The Students' Union also operates a number of businesses, manages various targeted trust funds, hosts a wide variety of entertainment and educational events, and runs the Students' Union Building.

University of Alberta Library has 10 branches and divisions at University of Alberta's Edmonton campuses and at University of Alberta Augustana Campus.As of September 2019, the Library's collection comprises more than 5.4 million titles and over 8 million volumes, including 140,000 scholarly ejournals, 1.92 million ebooks, 806 online databases, 120,000 digitized titles, 67,000 newspaper issues. The Library's collection of 20,000 images and maps includes many records pertaining to the Canadian prairies.
