Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School (often referred to as Gaynor McCown ELS, or simply McCown) is a public school located in the New Springville section of Staten Island, New York.

Staten Island Mall is a shopping mall in New Springville, Staten Island, New York City, opened in 1973. It is the only indoor shopping mall in the borough. It is the largest retail center on the island and is the site of the island's third-largest public transit hub after the St. George Terminal and Eltingville Transit Center, with numerous bus routes that connect to the periphery of the mall area. Heartland Village is a residential development located close to the geographic center of Staten Island, one of the five boroughs of New York City, USA. The name is also often used to denote the immediately surrounding area. Heartland Village is located within the New Springville neighborhood of Staten Island. Heartland Village is originally named for a housing development created in the late 1960s which occupied a square-shaped area bounded by Richmond Avenue, Rockland Avenue, Richmond Hill Road, and Forest Hill Road, exclusive of the various shopping centers also located therein. The Staten Island Mall is located south of Richmond Hill Road.Heartland Village's proximity to the Staten Island Mall and many other smaller shopping centers nearby has made it one of the island's most attractive residential communities; indeed, the region has emerged as the island's second largest commercial and administrative hub, after St. George.

The Rocco Laurie Intermediate School refers to New York City Intermediate School 72 in Staten Island, New York. It is a Title I school. It is located at 33 Ferndale Avenue in Heartland Village, Staten Island. Heartland Village is part of New Springville, Staten Island. The school was named after P.O. Rocco Laurie.

Richmond Avenue is a major north-south thoroughfare on Staten Island, New York. Measuring approximately 7.0 miles (11.3 km), the road runs from the South Shore community of Eltingville to the North Shore community of Graniteville.

La Tourette Golf Course is a public course on Staten Island in New York City. The land is part of Staten Island's Greenbelt and has views of historic Richmond Town. The La Tourette House, which dates to 1836 and is on the National Register of Historic Places, serves as the clubhouse. Considered by some to be the crown jewel of New York City's public golf course network, it is home to the annual New York City Amateur Championship.

LaTourette House is a historic home located at New Springville, Staten Island, New York. It was built in 1836 in a late Federal / early Greek Revival style. It is a large, sturdy gable roofed brick farmhouse with stone trim. In 1928 the house and 500 acres were purchased by New York City for a golf course and the house was converted to a clubhouse. The large, white "L" shaped wood porch and one story extension were added in 1936 as part of a Work Projects Administration restoration project.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Lookout Place or Fort Hill (also known as Fort Izard) was an American Revolutionary War British garrison, or earthen mound-fortress roughly 44 feet square at the top of La Tourette Hill in Historic Richmondtown, Staten Island, New York. The redoubt was constructed in 1776 by British Regulars during the occupation of Richmond County. General William Howe planned his successful capture of New York City while encamped on the Island, along with 30,000 British and Hessian soldiers joining to suppress the rebellion after the arrival of his brother Admiral Richard Howe. The fort overlooked a fresh water spring about 200 feet directly below (known as the Lord Howe Spring), the Old Mill Road, Fresh Kills which is a tributary of Richmond Creek, St. Andrews Church and the town of Richmond, then referred to as Cuckoldstown, in the valley just below La Tourette Hill. The hilltop was widely denuded of trees by the British during the war, allowing the soldiers to have unobstructed views of Lower New York Bay and the Arthur Kill. It is now the La Tourette Golf Course. Extensive archeological digs have taken place at the beginning of the 20th century, revealing all manner of British accuetrament, from remnants of weaponry to soldier coat buttons, shoe buckles and pottery fragments.Robert Rogers created a new unit while encamped at Richmondtown called The Queen's Rangers named after Charlotte, wife of King George III.

The Church of St. Andrew is a historic Episcopal church located at Arthur Kill and Old Mill Roads on the north side of Richmondtown in Staten Island, New York. The congregation was founded in 1708. The first church was built in 1708–1712 and expanded in 1770. The church was used as a hospital by the British during the American Revolutionary War, and later was heavily damaged by fire in 1867 and 1872. The church was rebuilt about 1872 in a Gothic style of fieldstone with stop-ended chamfered red brick trim. The attached Burch Hall was erected in 1924 in a matching style.It was designated a New York City landmark in 1967 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The 1818 rectory is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Moore-McMillen House.

The Christopher House is a stone masonry farmhouse at Historic Richmond Town in Staten Island, New York City. It is associated with two of the oldest Staten Island families. It was also used as a meeting place during the American Revolution, while being the residence of Joseph Christopher, a member of the Richmond County Committee of Safety from 1775-1776. It was moved to Historic Richmond Town in late 1969 and restored for museum presentation from 1975-1977.
