Ferrysburg, Michigan

Spring Lake Township is a civil township of Ottawa County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 13,140 according to the 2000 census and 14,300 according to the 2010 census. The village of Spring Lake is located within the township. The city of Ferrysburg is south of the township bordering Lake Michigan, the Grand River and Spring Lake. On the south side of the Grand River is the city of Grand Haven and Grand Haven Charter Township. Crockery Township is to the east and Muskegon County is to the north. It was established in 1855.

It is the tallest structure in the city. The coal tipple was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Pere Marquette 1223 is a steam locomotive on permanent display in Grand Haven, Michigan. It is one of two surviving Pere Marquette 2-8-4 "Berkshire" type locomotives, along with sibling engine No. 1225, the inspiration for the locomotive in the book and movie versions of The Polar Express, which is in operating condition.

The Grand Haven Historic District is a mixed commercial and residential historic district located along Washington Avenue and adjacent Streets from Harbor Drive through the 600 block, in Grand Haven, Michigan. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Coast Guard Festival is a festival in Grand Haven, Michigan. Founded in 1924, the festival is a ten-day event that starts in the last weekend in July, and ends in early August. Over 350,000 people attend the festival, including the nation's highest-ranking United States Coast Guard dignitaries from Washington, DC. The focus of the annual festival is to honor the Coast Guard and those who sacrificed their lives in the service of their country.

Grand Haven is a city within the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Ottawa County. Grand Haven is located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Grand River, for which it is named. As of the 2010 census, Grand Haven had a population of 10,412. The city is home to the Grand Haven Memorial Airpark (3GM) and is located just north of Grand Haven Charter Township.

Pleasure Island Water Theme Park was a water park located on 25 acres (100,000 m2) in Muskegon, Michigan located at 99 E. Pontaluna Road. The park operated in the 1980s and 1990s, consisting of 13 water slides, mini golf, a beach with zip line, paddle boats, gas-powered bumper boats, a lazy river, and a children' swim area with three small water slides. The feature attraction was a water slide named the Black Hole which was built into a hill and started out with a steep drop which then circled back into the hill, finally coming out of the hill into a pool of water at the base. Pleasure Island was also known for the food served at the Weenie Hut. When nearby Michigan's Adventure added its WildWater Adventure water park, the competition was too much and Pleasure Island closed. The park was auctioned off in 1997. The property later became a subdivision, named Windflower Bay.

The Grand Haven Musical Fountain is a synchronized display of water and lights in Grand Haven, Michigan located on Dewey Hill on the north shore of the Grand River, not far from the Grand's mouth at Lake Michigan and Grand Haven State Park. Shows run nightly from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Weekend shows run during the months of May and September. Shows begin at dark and run 25 to 30 minutes. Many themes are used in the fountain's performances. The fountain's narration takes on personas ranging from a 12-year-old girl to a grown man. A Patriotic themed program runs each July 4 along with fireworks and, in August, a program saluting the United States Coast Guard runs yearly during the Coast Guard Festival; in 2011 a special introduction and closing song were introduced honoring the men and women of the United States Coast Guard. The special introduction and closing featured music performed by the USCG Band. Fountain viewing, not including July 4 or the festival, is estimated at around 10,000 annually.

The Nathaniel and Esther (Savidge) Robbins House is a private house located at 20 South 5th Avenue in Grand Haven, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Edward P. Ferry House is a private house located at 514 Lafayette Street in Grand Haven, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
