Hardy Dam (or Hardy Hydroelectric Plant) is an earth-filled embankment dam and powerplant complex on the Muskegon River in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. At the time of its completion, it was the largest earthen dam in North America east of the Mississippi. Its impoundment forms a lake with over 50 miles of shoreline. The dam impounds a reservoir with a surface area of 4,000 acres (1,618 ha) and its power plant has an installed capacity of 31.5 MW.

Newaygo State Park is a public recreation area covering 257 acres (104 ha) on the south side of Hardy Dam Pond in Big Prairie Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. The state park sits atop 20-foot (6.1 m) embankments overlooking the six-mile-long (10 km), 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) impoundment of the Muskegon River.

The Little Muskegon River is a 44.1-mile-long (71.0 km) tributary of the Muskegon River in western Michigan in the United States.

The Croton Dam Mound Group, also known by the designations 20NE105, 20NE112, and 20NE116, is an archaeological site that was once a ceremonial site located on 2.3 acres near Croton, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Croton Dam (or Croton Hydroelectric Plant) is an earth-filled embankment dam and powerplant complex on the Muskegon River in Croton Township, Newaygo County, Michigan. It was built in 1907 under the direction of William D. Fargo by the Grand Rapids - Muskegon Power Company, a predecessor of Consumers Energy. The 40-foot-high (12 m) dam impounds 7.2 billion U.S. gallons (6 billion imp. gal/27 billion L) of water in its 1,209-acre (489 ha) reservoir and is capable of producing 8,850 kilowatts at peak outflow. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Toft Lake Village Site, also known by the designation 20NE110, is an archaeological site, once a Late Middle Woodland era village, located on 10 acres on the sandy shore of Toft Lake in Everett Township, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan was the Episcopal diocese in the western half of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The diocese was founded in 1874, and was dissolved by merger in 2024. The diocese was headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and covered a 33-county area that stretches from the Straits of Mackinac southward to the Indiana border and from Lake Michigan to approximately the middle of the state. As of 2012 the website of the diocese described it as having 15,000 communicants organized in 58 communities of faith, of which 54 were parishes and 4 were seasonal chapels. It was organized into three regions, centered in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Traverse City. The Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan was somewhat unusual in that it had no cathedral. From 1969 to 2007, the bishop and the diocesan offices were located at the Cathedral Church of Christ the King, a prominent edifice near Interstate 94. However, this building was sold in 2007, and the congregation of the Parish Church of Christ the King moved to Texas Corners where it remained until January 2012, when the congregation disbanded. At a Special Convention held on March 16, 2024, in Grand Blanc, there was an overwhelming vote in favor of joining the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan to establish the Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes. The juncture was approved on June 28, 2024 by the General Convention of the Episcopal Church The first bishop of the diocese was George D. Gillespie. Robert R. Gepert, was elected on October 19, 2001, and was consecrated as the 8th diocesan bishop on April 27, 2002. His episcopacy, which spanned 11 years, concluded with his retirement in 2013. Whayne M. Hougland, Jr., was elected as the 9th diocesan bishop in September 2013. Hougland was suspended in June 2019 after admitting to an extra-marital affair. Hougland resigned his position as bishop on July 1, 2021. The Rt. Rev. Skip Adams, a retired bishop of Central New York, served the Diocese in the capacity of assisting bishop on an interim basis. Bishop Prince Singh presided as Bishop of the Dioceses of Western and Eastern Michigan until accusations of domestic violence.

The Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes is the Episcopal diocese in the western half and northern two-thirds of the eastern half of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The diocese was founded in 2024 by the juncture of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan and the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan.

Brooks Township is a civil township of Newaygo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 3,671.

Aetna Township is a civil township of Mecosta County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 2,241.

WYBR (102.3 FM, "Today's Hit Music, Y102") is a radio station in Big Rapids, Michigan, broadcasting a hot adult contemporary format. Its signal can be heard as far south as Rockford, Michigan, as far north as Cadillac, Michigan and as far east as Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The station began broadcasting in 1981 as WAAQ, "The Music Machine, Q102", with an adult contemporary format. In 1992 WAAQ was sold and became WPZX, a CHR/Top 40 station known as "Power 102". In 1994, the station was sold again and WPZX became "Y102", originally employing a Hot AC format from ABC Radio Networks known as "The Best Hits, The Best Variety" (now "Today's Hit Music"). The station dropped the ABC satellite format in 2000 and continues as a Hot AC station to this day. Specialty programming includes "The Retro Lunch Hour" weekdays at noon, "The Commercial Free Drive at Five" weekdays at 5 p.m and The Zach Sang Show weekday nights. Weekend specialty shows include both the 1980s and 1990s versions of Back Trax USA with Kid Kelly, the Hot AC version of Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40, Saturday and Sunday nights feature The Open House Party with Kannon, and SonRise (contemporary Christian music) on Sunday mornings.
