Tauche (Lower Sorbian: Tuchow) is a municipality on both sides of the river Spree in the Oder-Spree district, in Brandenburg, Germany. The large municipality consists of 12 parts (German: Ortsteile) or villages with other local parts/settlements, respectively. The seat of the municipal administration is located in the village of the same name. In 1813, explorer of Australia and naturalist, Ludwig Leichhardt, was born in the hamlet of Sabrodt near Trebatsch. That made, in 1998, the federal state of Brandenburg award the village of Trebatsch the additional name "Leichhardt-Gemeinde" (Leichhardt Municipality).Author Günter de Bruyn has been living since 1969 in Görsdorf. In Kossenblatt there is a castle, Schloss Kossenblatt, which is said to have been the favourite palace of the "Soldier King" Frederick William I of Prussia.

Falkenberg Mast

The Falkenberg Mast is a 99m guyed tower for meteorological measurements. It is located in the German state of Brandenburg at 52°9'59.91"N 14°7'19.83"E close to the Meteorological observatory Lindenberg (MOL) of the German Weather Service (DWD). The mast is fitted every 10m with equipment to measure wind speed, temperature and humidity, and sited in an enclosure with further equipment for monitoring several other meteorological parameters.

Räuberberg

The Räuberberg is an archaeological monument, located in Görsdorf within the municipality of Tauche in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg, Germany. The 58.1-meter high hill once housed a medieval noble castle, but there is no evidence of its existence besides the castle rampart and archaeological discoveries dating back to the 12th to 13th centuries. The castle is absent in any charters or documents from the Middle Ages. However, the Räuberberg is represented several times in the region's legends.

It is fed and drained by the river Spree. The Spree flows in from the west and leaves the lake to the north in the direction of Beeskow. Part of the lake lies within the territory of the municipality Schwielochsee, that was named after the lake.
