The Pontifical Xavierian University (in Spanish Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) is a private higher education institution founded in 1623. It is one of the oldest, most traditional, and prestigious Colombian universities, directed by the Society of Jesus, with its main facilities in Bogotá and a second campus in Cali. "La Javeriana", as it is known by its students, has traditionally educated the Colombian elite. It is one of the 33 universities entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America and one of 167 around the world.The Javeriana University in Bogotá has 18 schools comprising 61 departments and 242 academic programs catering to areas of knowledge, giving the university its multidisciplinary nature. It has 45 buildings in 445 acres (1.80 km2). The Javeriana University in Cali offers 18 schools in four faculties. It is located in Pance, Cali. Its Law School recently received a high-quality accreditation by Resolution 6808 6 August 2010, of the Ministry of National Education. The campus in Cali has sectional divisions of the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC), Temple University's Fox School of Business, and others.The university is one of the twelve universities in Colombia having a high-quality institutional accreditation, granted to it for eight years by Resolution 1320, 12 June 2003, of the Ministry of National Education.The university has 21 undergraduate programs with high-quality accreditation, and eight programs in advanced stages of the accreditation process. In graduate programs, quality is acknowledged through the Qualified Registries. The university has 87 graduate programs with Qualified Registries and has presented another 29 to these processes. For the QS World University Rankings in 2023, the university was ranked #382 globally, #18 in Latin America, and #3 in Colombia.

The Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (Spanish: Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas) is a public, coeducational, research university based in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the second most important public higher education institution in the city, after the National University of Colombia, with a population of 26,140 students. It was founded in 1948, by Priest Daniel de Caicedo, who would become its first rector, with the support of the Bogotá City Council, as the Municipal University of Bogotá (Spanish: Universidad Municipal de Bogotá). It changed its name to the current in 1957 when the municipality of Bogotá became a district. Its establishment was officialized by the 1970 decree No. 1030, issued by the national government. The university offers 70 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including four masters and one doctorate. The university is member of the Association of Colombian Universities (ASCUN), the Iberoamerican Association of Postgraduate Universities (AUIP), and the Iberoamerican University Network Universia.

The Universidad Piloto de Colombia, is a private, national, coeducational research university, located primarily in Bogotá, Colombia. It offers academic programs in undergraduate, specializations, masters and doctorates. Its president is Patricia Piedrahíta Castillo.

Cadena Melodía is a Colombian radio network, founded in 1971 by Liberal politician Efraín Páez Espitia, who owned Radio Melodía of Bogotá since 1959.

HJCU (AM 730 kHz)is a radio station in Bogotá, Colombia, part of the Cadena Melodía network. Since its inception, it has been focused on the easy listening genre, with some news on mornings and afternoons on weekdays. The radio station ceased to broadcast on FM because the owners of the frequency decided to lease it to Grupo Valorem, a Colombian group that owns Caracol Televisión, which created Bluradio. It currently broadcasts its programming on AM 730 and it streams at cadenamelodia.com.

Radio Líder was the flagship station of the AM network of Cadena Melodía, a Colombian radio network. It started in 1947 as Radio Industrial. It would later be renamed to Radio Capital, until 1959 when Liberal party politician Efraín Páez Espitia bought the station and changed its name to Radio Melodía. In 2012, Cadena Melodía rented sister station Melodía FM Estéreo to Valórem, owner of Caracol TV. Thus, Melodía FM Estéreo moved to the AM band, where Radio Líder was located.

The institution had more than ten thousand students in September 2019, of which the majority were undergraduates. CINEP / Peace Program – Centro de Investigación y Educación Popular / Programa por la Paz (CINEP/PPP) – is a non-profit foundation created by the Society of Jesus in Colombia. The Center for Research and Popular Education was founded in 1972 for promoting equitable and sustainable human development. In 1987 the Program for Peace was added to work toward a just and lasting peace in the country.

Saint Thomas University (Spanish: Universidad Santo Tomás) is a Roman Catholic university located in Bogotá, Colombia. It is the oldest Colombian university, founded in 1580 by the Dominican Order. It has campuses in Bucaramanga, Tunja, Medellín, and Villavicencio, and offers distance education.
