Arcadia High School is a four-year comprehensive secondary school located on a 40-acre (16 ha) site in Arcadia, California, United States. It is part of the Arcadia Unified School District. The high school was opened in 1952. The incoming freshman classes consist of students that feed in from Arcadia's three middle schools: First Avenue Middle School, Richard Henry Dana Middle School, and Foothills Middle School. The school has a teaching staff of 148. Four hold doctorate degrees, and 110 have master's degrees. The administrative staff consists of the principal, four assistant principals, and one dean of students. A staff of eight full-time and two part-time counselors holds master's degrees and Pupil Personnel Service Credentials, with two of the counselors, licensed Marriage/Family/Child Counselors. Arcadia High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and received another six-year accreditation in June 2017. Arcadia High School has a GreatSchools rating of 9 out of 10.

Ross Field is a former World War I military airfield, located 0.8 miles (1.3 km) south-southwest of Arcadia, California. It was one of thirty-two Air Service, United States Army training camps established after the United States entry into World War I in April 1917. It operated as a training field between 1918 until 1919.

Arcadia is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, located about 13 miles (21 km) northeast of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. It contains a series of adjacent parks consisting of the Santa Anita Park racetrack, the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, and Arcadia County Park. The city had a population of 56,364 at the 2010 census, up from 53,248 at the 2000 census. The city is named after Arcadia, Greece.

The Santa Anita Golf Course, located in the city of Arcadia, California, was operated by Santa Anita Associates for the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation from 1986-2016. This golf course was historically considered to be a part of Arcadia County Park. However, new operators will take over beginning September 2016.

Arcadia County Park or Arcadia Community Regional Park (originally Santa Anita Recreational Park) is a park in Arcadia, California located along the intersection of Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Avenue. The park is also in close proximity to Arcadia City Hall, the Arcadia Police Department headquarters, the Santa Anita Park racetrack, and the Santa Anita Golf Course. This golf course, which sits directedly south of Arcadia County Park, is historically considered to be a part of the park. However, locals now exclusively use this name to refer to the park's northern recreational area.

A Dawn In The West is the title of a 2013 bronze statue by Alfred Paredes of Elias J. “Lucky” Baldwin (1828–1909), pioneer California rancher, businessman founder and first mayor of Arcadia. Commissioned and donated to the City of Arcadia by Baldwin's great, great, great granddaughters, Margaux Gibson-Viera and Heather Gibson, both of California, the 9-foot bronze figure of Baldwin stands on a 4-foot concrete plinth in the center of the Monsignor Gerald M. O’Keefe Rose Garden, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Holly Avenue, in Arcadia, California. It was dedicated on April 16, 2013.A Dawn In The West depicts Baldwin at about the age of 80 as he surveys the site of his home and ranch located nearby. The figure is positioned looking northwest toward the home that Baldwin occupied at the time, known as the Hugo Reid Adobe, which is now preserved at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden.

Santa Anita Creek (Santa Anita Wash on federal maps) is a 10.4-mile (16.7 km) long stream in Los Angeles County, California. It flows southwards from its headwaters in the south ridge of the San Gabriel Mountains, to form the beginnings of the Rio Hondo near Irwindale.

Rancho San Francisquito was a 8,894-acre (35.99 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Los Angeles County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pio Pico to Henry Dalton. The grant included present day cities of El Monte, Irwindale, and Temple City.

Arcadia station is an at-grade light rail station on the A Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Santa Clara Street in Arcadia, California, after which the station is named. This station opened on March 5, 2016, as part of Phase 2A of the Gold Line Foothill Extension Project. An overpass bridge was constructed over Santa Anita Avenue near the station.
