Balally

The Irish Management Institute (IMI) is an educational institute in Dublin, Ireland that offers postgraduate diplomas, master's degrees, executive education programs and short courses in Business and Management. In its role as a membership organisation it connects businesses around its mission of improving the practice of management in Ireland. An alliance between University College Cork and the Irish Management Institute was announced in June 2011 by Taoiseach Enda Kenny, the two institutions having been collaborating since 2009. As of 2014, the majority of the degrees offered by the IMI were accredited by UCC. In 2016, after many years of discussion, UCC bought the IMI and its lands.

The Currency Centre (also known as the Irish Mint) is the mint of coins and printer of banknotes for the Central Bank of Ireland, including the euro currency. The centre is located in Sandyford, Dublin, Ireland. The centre does not print the complete range of euro banknotes. Other denominations are imported. The centre was designed by the architect Sam Stephenson, for which he won the RIAI Triennial Gold Medal in 1977-1979. Construction began in 1972, with the first notes being printed in 1974. In 1976 the Currency Centre printed the first notes of Series B along with the first mint of Irish coins. Before the centre was established, Irish coins were produced in the Royal Mint. The first euro coins were minted in the centre in September 1999, whilst the first banknotes were printed in April 2000; these commenced delivery to banks and retailers in September (coins) and October (banknotes) of 2001. The final Irish coins, based on the Irish pound, were minted in September 2000 and the final banknotes were printed in April 2001. The decision to continue printing euro notes in Dublin when those notes could be printed much more cheaply on existing presses elsewhere was described as a colossal waste of money in April 2012.

Balally (Irish: Baile Amhlaoibh) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown, south of Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Green Line and serves Dundrum Town Centre as well as the suburbs of Balally and Goatstown. The stop is located at the junction at the side of Overend Avenue.

The Carmelite Institute of Britain and Ireland (CIBI) is a Catholic university initiative by the Carmelite Irish and British province and the Anglo-Irish Province of Discalced Carmelites, as founded in December 2005, which provides distance learning/online courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Carmelite Theology.In its initial year 90 students commenced their study on the initial two programmes (a Certificate in Spirituality and a Diploma in Spirituality), and in October of 2009 the first graduation of students took place at the Milltown Institute in Dublin, Ireland. From its foundation CIBI programmes were accredited by the Milltown Institute of Theology and Philosophy until its closure in 2015; subsequently the CIBI programmes have been validated by St. Patrick's Pontifical University, Maynooth, which also approved the CIBI's Master of Theology in Carmelite Studies and Bachelor of Theology in Carmelite Studies programmes upon their respective launches in 2012 and 2016. The Master of Theology programme had initially been validated by York St John University in England, since the Milltown Institute was in the process of winding down and had no longer been in a position to validate new programmes.The Carmelite Institute of Britain and Ireland offers, since January 2019, 53 undergraduate courses and 12 postgraduate modules (including a dissertation preparation module for students planning on undertaking the composition of a dissertation) have been formally approved for accreditation by St. Patrick Pontifical University, Maynooth. A number of short formative courses of a less academically rigorous nature are also offered by the CIBI, covering subjects ranging from an overview of major 20th century figures of the Carmelite order to an initial formation course "designed to complement the Initial Formation of candidates wishing to embark upon a religious life in Carmel".In addition to the school's native Ireland and the UK, graduates have hailed from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Malaysia, Norway, and the United States. CIBI courses validated by Maynooth are eligible for tax relief.

Kilmacud (Irish: Cill Mochuda) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown, south of Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Green Line and serves the eponymous suburb. The stop is located at the junction between Benildus Avenue and Drummartin Link Road.

Naomh Olaf is a Gaelic Athletic Association club which was founded in 1981 to provide facilities for encouraging the sporting abilities of the people of the developing parish of Balally in south County Dublin, Ireland. A club house was built and players were recruited from around the area, most of them coming from the local schools of St Olaf's, Gaelscoil Thaobh na Coille, St Benildus College, and St Tiernan's. In recent years more and more players are coming from the Leopardstown and Stepaside areas.

Airfield Estate is a agritourism site in Dublin, Ireland. Describing itself as "Dublin's only urban working farm and gardens," it incorporates Airfield House, an Anglo-Irish big house, and welcomes visitors to learn about farming and the site's history. As of 2016, it had 75 employees and 280,000 annual visitors.

Wesley College is an independent co-educational secondary school for day and boarding students in Ballinteer, Dublin, Ireland. Wesley College is under the control of a Board of Governors, appointed each year by the Methodist Church in Ireland. Wesley College was founded on 1 October 1845 and counts two Nobel laureates among its alumni. Strong emphasis is put on religious education for all denominations and both extra-curricular activities and sport play an important part in this school. The college offers pupils an opportunity to explore the humanities, sciences, technology, business studies, English literature, music and the arts. Wesley College offers a range of extracurricular and sporting activities in the belief that these assist a "sound general education and contribute to the whole person".

St Benildus College is an all-boys, Catholic secondary school located in Kilmacud, Dublin, Ireland. It was established in 1966 when free secondary education was introduced in Ireland. Founded in 2005, the College was named after the De La Salle Saint, Brother Benildus of Clermont, France. As of 2018, over 800 students were recorded as being current pupils at the school. It is located on the Upper Kilmacud Road in South Dublin on a 25-acre site. Most of the school's students live in the surrounding areas such as Ballinteer, Kilmacud, Sandyford, Dundrum, Goatstown, Stillorgan, Balally, Leopardstown and Ballyogan. St Benildus College is under the Le Chéile trusteeship as of 2010, but still follows De La Sallian Way apart from being inclusive. The school is administered by an eight-member Board of Management. The school is located in an area of south Dublin which was largely farmland until the 1950s and 1960s, when the area became built up with housing estates. The Luas green line is adjacent to the school, and the Kilmacud stop is at the back of the school. In 2009, a new road was opened, named Benildus Avenue, which runs parallel to the Luas line. The new road aims to ease traffic congestion around Sandyford Industrial Estate. Benildus famously operate under the motto "secundum verbum tuum" which means be a man of your word

Dundrum Town Centre is a shopping centre located in Dundrum, Dublin, Ireland. It is Ireland's largest shopping centre with over 169 tenants, almost 140,000 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft) of floor space, and over 3,400 car parking spaces. It is located just south of the village centre of Dundrum.

Sandyford (Irish: Áth an Ghainimh) is a suburb of Dublin, located in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. Sandyford Business District makes up much of the suburb and encompasses Sandyford Industrial Estate. It is the location for a number of multinational financial services and technology companies including Google, Facebook, Microsoft and AIB.
