Bellport station

North Bellport is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located within the Town of Brookhaven, New York, United States. The population was 11,545 at the 2010 census.

Gateway Playhouse, also known as the Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County is a theatre located on the eastern edge of Bellport, New York on the grounds of the former Mott Estate. The street address is 215 South Country Road. It's the oldest of three professional theatres on the island and nationally recognized as one of the top ten summer theatres in the nation.

These family run businesses get community support through the Bellport Chamber of Commerce. Bellport is also home to the Gateway Playhouse, a professional summer theater in operation since 1950. Bellport is in the town of Brookhaven and is on the south shore of Long Island adjoining Great South Bay. It is officially known as the Fullshale Village of Bellport.

Located within the district is the separately listed Bellport Academy. It also includes the Village Hall, Bellport Community Center, the former fire house, and a museum/exchange shop built in 1890, as well as other structures. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

It is located within the Bellport Village Historic District.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and currently survives as a private residence.

It serves students in grades 9-12 in Bellport, East Patchogue, Brookhaven Hamlet and parts of Medford and North Bellport. The principal is Erika Della Rosa. It is preceded by Bellport Middle School.

Brookhaven was a station stop along the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It first opened around 1884 by the Brooklyn and Montauk Railroad and discontinued as a station stop on October 6, 1958. The station was located at Bridge Street and Old Stump Road (former Suffolk County Route 21), and continued to show up on road maps as recently as the 1980s. The former freight house has been moved to various private locations since 1958, and modified by each owner.

Smith-Rourke House is a historic home located at East Patchogue in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1837 and is a large two story, five bay, generally square dwelling that measures approximately 32 by 40 feet. The house features a low sloping hipped roof of tin with a central cupola and cross gables on all four sides, characteristic of the Italianate style. It also features a profusion of heavy, bold Greek Revival style ornamentation. Also on the property is a small carriage shed.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

East Patchogue is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 22,469 at the 2010 census. The CDP is a proximate representation of the East Patchogue hamlet used for statistical purposes of the Census Bureau.
