Midtown Crossing at Turner Park is a seven building, 16-acre mixed-use development in midtown Omaha, encompassing 297 condominiums, 196 apartment units, and fine and casual dining, entertainment and shopping. A majority of Midtown Crossing's restaurant and retailer partners are Omaha-born businesses, including Wohlner's Neighborhood Grocery & Deli and Garbo's Salon and Spa. Built around an expanded and renovated Turner Park, the neighborhood sits between Farnam and Dodge Streets and 31st and 33rd Streets. It is directly to the east of Mutual of Omaha's headquarters, who planned and financed the development, and is located to the west of downtown Omaha. It was the first major project tied to Destination Midtown, a public/private partnership focused on returning historic midtown Omaha to prominence.Free community events, held in 7-acre Turner Park, are a hallmark of the development and include festivals, concerts, and health and wellness gatherings.

Gifford Park is a historic neighborhood in midtown Omaha, Nebraska. It is roughly bounded by the North Freeway on the east, North 38th Street on the west, Dodge Street on the south and Cuming Street on the north. Its namesake park was added to the City parks network in 1916. The neighborhood is bounded by several historic neighborhoods, including Bemis Park, Gold Coast, and the Near North Side.

The Melrose Apartments were built in 1916 at 602 North 33rd Street in the Gifford Park neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. The Melrose was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Creighton University Medical Center - Saint Joseph Hospital was a general hospital located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The hospital was a part of the CHI Health system. The hospital was originally established in 1870 by the Sisters of Mercy. It later came under control of Creighton University in 1973. The hospital was sold to Alegent Health in 2012 and closed in 2017.

Technical High School (Tech) was a public high school that was located at 3215 Cuming Street in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Opened in 1923, the school was said to be the largest high school west of Chicago. It was the largest in the Omaha area before it was closed in 1984. Today the building serves as the headquarters of Omaha Public Schools.

The Mutual of Omaha Building is a 285-ft (87 m), 14-story skyscraper in midtown Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Built in 1970, it is currently the sixth tallest building in Omaha. The building houses the headquarters of Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, and is the largest building in Mutual of Omaha's Midtown Crossing development. Joined to the main building, the Mutual of Omaha Dome is an underground facility topped by a large glass dome. The dome houses an employee café. The building's north face was covered with a large photograph of an Olympic swimmer in June 2008 as an advertisement for the U.S. Olympic swim trials being held in Omaha in July. Again, in June 2009 the company's north face was adorned in a larger-than-life tiger to celebrate its centennial (shown). The building wrap was completed by Super Color Digital, a large-format digital printing company based in Orange County, California.

The Clarinda and Page Apartments were located at 3027 Farnam Street and 305–11 Turner Boulevard in the Midtown area of Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1909 and 1914 respectively, they both reflected the Georgian Revival style of architecture. The buildings were designated an Omaha Landmark on April 21, 1981, and were added to the National Register of Historic Places, as well. According to the City of Omaha's Landmarks Heritage Preservation Commission, "the Clarinda and Page represent the type of luxury apartments which developed along the city’s picturesque parks and boulevard system after the turn-of-the-century."The building was demolished by Mutual of Omaha in 2014 after a failed campaign to save it.

The First Unitarian Church of Omaha, Nebraska is a Unitarian Universalist Church located at 3114 Harney Street in the Midtown area.

The Guy C. Barton House was a historic home in the Midtown area of Omaha, Nebraska, United States. It caught fire and later was demolished in 1982. The three-story red brick mansion was located at 3522 Farnum Street on the corner of 35th Street and Farnam. The mansion later became the Heafey & Heafey Mortuary.

The Mary Reed House, AKA "Mary Reed Residence" was built and designed in 1909 for the widow of philanthropist and real estate pioneer Byron Reed. It was built in the Gold Coast area of Omaha, Nebraska, which in the early 20th century was a neighborhood of great prestige. This red-brick building, now home to a law firm, was designed by architect F.A. Henninger in the Prairie style made famous by Frank Lloyd Wright. Located at 503 S. 35th St. in Omaha; it was designated as an Omaha Historical Landmark in 1982.

Kiewit Plaza is a high-rise office building in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.. It is located at 3555 Farnam Street at the corner of S 36th Street. It was built from 1960 to 1961, and it was designed in the modernist architectural style.It has been home to the headquarters of Peter Kiewit and Sons and Berkshire Hathaway since 1962 when Warren Buffett dissolved his six partnerships into one partnership headquartered in this building. It is named after Peter Kiewit's construction company, Peter Kiewit Sons', a company considered to be one of the most profitable construction companies in the world and once called "Colossus of Roads", which is also headquartered in the building.

The Creighton University School of Medicine is the graduate medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, and grants the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. It was founded in 1892. A new satellite campus opened in 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, becoming the first Jesuit medical program west of Omaha. All matriculating students complete preclinical coursework in Omaha, and 42 third-year students complete their clinical rotations in Phoenix, with elective options at both campuses during their fourth year. In 2017, the new primary teaching hospital will be Bergan Mercy Medical Center. Both are affiliates of CHI Health, a division of Catholic Health Initiatives. For the class of 2018, Creighton received 6771 applications and interviewed 649 students for its total class sized of 155 matriculants. The average GPA for admitted students was a 3.77, with an average MCAT of 30 (10 VR/10 PS/10 BS). The current class consists of 75 (48.4%) males and 80 (51.6%) females.
