As of 2023, the club competes in the Louth Senior Championship and Division 1 of the county football Leagues. Gary Mallon is the manager of the senior team.

Both the club and the football ground, which has been a frequent venue for county finals, are named in his honour. In 2021 the club reached the final of the Louth Senior Football Championship for the first time. Their side, which included former AFL player and Louth county footballer Ciarán Byrne, lost by eleven points to defending champions Naomh Máirtín at Ardee's Páirc Mhuire.As of 2023 John Moylan is manager of the senior team.In August 2023 St Mochta's won their first ever Senior trophy, the Cardinal O'Donnell Cup, by beating Naomh Máirtín in the Louth Senior Football League Final.

Located in Rathduff outside the town of Dundalk, a short distance from the historic Roche Castle, the club draws its support from the neighbouring parishes of Kilcurry and Faughart in north Louth. As of 2023, Roche Emmets compete in the Louth Intermediate Championship and Division 2 of the county football Leagues. Jamie O'Hare is the club's senior team manager.

Castle Roche (Irish: Dún Gall) is a Norman castle located some 10 km (7 miles) north-west of Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. It was the seat of the de Verdun family (also spelt de Verdon), who built the castle in 1236 AD. It is built upon a large rocky outcrop and commands extensive views of the surrounding country. Together with a deep moat, its strong walls rendered it virtually impregnable. A secret passage once connected the castle to a round tower outpost. St. Ronan's Well lies nearby.
