St. Paul the Apostle Church is a Catholic church established in 1935 in Los Angeles, California. It is a part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and is staffed by the Paulist Fathers and the Daughters of Mary and Joseph, who are also active in the parochial school. Both the church and the school are named after St. Paul the Apostle. St Paul The Apostle School has 1301 total employees across all of its locations and generates $1.09 million in sales (USD). Colloquially known as "St. Paul's," the school is adjacent to the community of Westwood, and admits students from the greater Los Angeles area. The Los Angeles California Temple (formerly the Los Angeles Temple), the tenth operating and the second-largest temple operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), is on Santa Monica Boulevard in the Westwood district of Los Angeles, California, United States. When it was dedicated in 1956, it was the largest of the church's temples, though it has since been surpassed by the Salt Lake Temple due to later expansions. The temple serves 39 stakes in Los Angeles, Ventura, Kern, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. The grounds include a visitors' center, which was renovated in 2010, the Los Angeles Regional Family History Center, both of which are open to the public, and the headquarters of the church's California Los Angeles Mission.

The Pabst Brewing Company () is an American company that dates its origins to a brewing company founded in 1844 by Jacob Best and was, by 1889, named after Frederick Pabst. It is currently a holding company which contracts the brewing of over two dozen brands of beer and malt liquor: these include its own flagship Pabst Blue Ribbon, as well as brands from now defunct breweries including P. Ballantine and Sons Brewing Company, G. Heileman Brewing Company, Lone Star Brewing Company, Pearl Brewing Company, Piels Bros., Valentin Blatz Brewing Company, National Brewing Company, Olympia Brewing Company, Falstaff Brewing Corporation, Primo Brewing & Malting Company, Rainier Brewing Company, F & M Schaefer Brewing Company, Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company, Jacob Schmidt Brewing Company and Stroh Brewery Company. About half of the beer produced under Pabst's ownership is Pabst Blue Ribbon brand, with the other half their other owned brands.The company is also responsible for the brewing of Ice Man Malt Liquor, St. Ides High Gravity Malt Liquor, and retail versions of beers from McSorley's Old Ale House and Southampton Publick House (of Southampton, New York).Pabst is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. On November 13, 2014, Pabst announced that it had completed its sale to Blue Ribbon Intermediate Holdings, LLC. Blue Ribbon is a partnership between Russian-American beer entrepreneur Eugene Kashper and TSG Consumer Partners, a San Francisco–based private equity firm. Prior reports suggested the price agreed upon was around $700 million.In 2017, the company opened the Pabst Milwaukee Brewery, a brewpub located in an old chapel on the original Milwaukee Pabst Brewery campus, that brews relatively small batches of craft-type beers and long-discontinued, historic Pabst brands (such as Old Tankard and Andeker).

Tehrangeles (Persian: تهرانجلس) (or Little Persia) is a portmanteau deriving from the combination of Tehran, the capital of Iran, and Los Angeles. A Persian community developed in Westwood, Los Angeles after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 prompted thousands of Iranians to flee to the United States. It is a shopping, eating and gathering place for the large number (estimates range from 500,000 to 600,000) of Iranian-Americans and their descendants residing in the Los Angeles metropolitan area which is the largest such population outside Iran. The intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Wilkins Avenue was recognized by the City of Los Angeles as Persian Square.

Masoumeh Dadehbala (April 10, 1942 – January 20, 1990), known professionally as Hayedeh, was an Iranian singer and media personality. She is widely considered an iconic vocalist and one of the most prominent and influential singers in Iran and the Persian world. Born in Tehran, Hayedeh was the older sister of another prominent singer, Mahasti. Hayedeh began singing by listening to songs on radio and television and was often compared to Delkash, and learned music from several teachers. She began his professional career in 1968 by performing on the radio program Golha. Later, she began collaborating with other musicians and releasing songs such as "Soghati". In 1978, Hayedeh moved to the United Kingdom amid the Iranian Revolution and called her immigration "a fitna". In 1982, she moved to the United States to continue her musical career, there was where she released the song "Bahar Bahar Az Omadeh Dobareh" with the theme of nostalgia for pre-revolutionary Iran. In her final years, Hayedeh suffered from mental health problems and she died of a heart attack in 1990 at the age of 47, the day after performing at a concert in San Francisco. In April 2019, the Los Angeles City Council recognized and celebrated Hayedeh, one of the most celebrated singers in Persian culture. Mohammad Heydari praised Hayedeh's musical abilities and described her and Mahasti, saying, "When she was in Iran, Mahasti had a softer voice than Haydeh's. Hayedeh had more vocal power. At home, Hayedeh had more influence of words."

Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary is a cemetery and mortuary located in the Westwood Village area of Los Angeles. It is located at 1218 Glendon Avenue in Westwood, with an entrance from Glendon Avenue.The cemetery was established as Sunset Cemetery in 1905, but had been used for burials since the 1880s. In 1926 the name was officially changed to Westwood Memorial Park and was later changed again to Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary.Although it is the resting place of some of the entertainment industry's greatest names, it also contains the graves of many uncelebrated people. For example, when Marilyn Monroe died in 1962, Joe DiMaggio, responsible for Monroe's arrangements, chose Westwood not because of its celebrities but because it was the resting place of her mother's friend, Grace Goddard, and Goddard's aunt, Ana Lower, both of whom had cared for Monroe as a child.

Westwood is a commercial and residential neighborhood in the northern central portion of the Westside region of Los Angeles, California. It is the home of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Bordering the campus on the south is Westwood Village, a major regional district for shopping, dining, movie theaters, and other entertainment. Wilshire Boulevard through Westwood is a major corridor of condominium towers, on the eastern end and of Class A office towers, on the western end. Westwood also has residential areas of multifamily and single family housing, including exclusive Holmby Hills. The neighborhood was developed starting in 1919, and UCLA opened in 1929, while Westwood Village was built up starting in 1929 through the 1930s.

The Crest Theatre, formerly known as Majestic Crest and Bigfoot Crest Theatre, is a movie theatre located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, United States. It was founded as the UCLAN in 1941, and was built for live performances but switched to a newsreel cinema during World War II. Through ownership changes, it has been known at various times as UCLAN Theatre, Crest Theatre, and Metro Theatre. The original 500-seat art deco style theater was designed by Arthur W. Hawes.In October of 2018, with support from Susan Nimoy and an anonymous donor, UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance and The School of Arts & Architecture acquired Crest Theatre.

The Hammer Museum, which is affiliated with the University of California, Los Angeles, is an art museum and cultural center known for its artist-centric and progressive array of exhibitions and public programs. Founded in 1990 by the entrepreneur-industrialist Armand Hammer to house his personal art collection, the museum has since expanded its scope to become "the hippest and most culturally relevant institution in town." Particularly important among the museum's critically acclaimed exhibitions are presentations of both historically over-looked and emerging contemporary artists. The Hammer Museum also hosts over 300 programs throughout the year, from lectures, symposia, and readings to concerts and film screenings. As of February 2014, the museum's collections, exhibitions, and programs are completely free to all visitors.

Westwood/UCLA Station is a planned heavy-rail subway station on the D Line of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station will be located under Wilshire Boulevard between Veteran Avenue and Westwood Boulevard, with the main station entrance to the west of Gayley Avenue. Other entrances will be located on the north and south sides of Wilshire Boulevard and the west side of Westwood Boulevard.The station is currently under construction, part of phase 3 of the Purple Line Extension project, with contractors hired in 2019. The station is slated to open along with Westwood/VA Hospital station in 2027. The Sepulveda Pass Transit Corridor is planned to connect to the D Line at this station.

Ralphs Grocery Store is a historic building in the Westwood Village section of Westwood, Los Angeles, California. Built in 1929 as a Ralphs Grocery Store, it was one of the original six buildings in the Westwood Village development. The building was noted for its cylindrical rotunda capped by a low saucer dome, with a pediment over the entrance and arcaded wings extending north and east. It was photographed by Ansel Adams in 1940, declared a Historic-Cultural Monument in 1988, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Wilshire Regent is a 23-story, 92.47 m (303.4 ft) full service condominium skyscraper in the Wilshire Corridor section of Westwood, Los Angeles, California and the 103rd tallest building in Los Angeles.
