Wusong

The Battle of Wusong (Woosung) (Chinese: 吳淞戰役) was fought between British and Chinese forces at the entrance of the Wusong River (present-day Huangpu River), Jiangsu province, China, on June 16, 1842, during the First Opium War. The British capture of the towns of Woosung (now Wusong) and Baoshan opened the way to Shanghai, which was captured with little resistance on June 19.

The Outer Ring tunnel, also known as the Taihe Road Tunnel, is a highway tunnel under the Huangpu River in Shanghai. The tunnel serves as part of the S20 Expressway and was completed on June 21, 2023. The tunnel runs east to west from Baoshan District to Sancha Port after crossing the Huangpu. The tunnel is 2,880 metres (9,450 ft) long and features 8 lanes with a speed limit of 80 km/h, which made it the longest underwater tunnel in Asia and third worldwide by length. The tunnel has been closed for 12 months due to construction since March 22, 2024.

Songbin Road (simplified Chinese: 淞滨路; traditional Chinese: 淞濱路; pinyin: Sōngbīn Lù) is a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006. The planned name of this station was Wusong Town.

Shuichan Road (simplified Chinese: 水产路; traditional Chinese: 水產路; pinyin: Shuǐchǎn Lù) is the name of a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006.

Zhanghuabang (simplified Chinese: 张华浜; traditional Chinese: 張華浜; pinyin: Zhānghuàbāng) is a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006. The station is named after Zhanghuabang River.

The Huangpu (), formerly romanized as Whangpoo, is a 113 km-long (70 mi) river flowing north through Shanghai. The Bund and Lujiazui are located along the Huangpu River. The Huangpu is the biggest river in central Shanghai, with the Suzhou Creek being its major tributary. It is on average 400 m (1,312 ft) wide and 9 m (30 ft) deep, and divides the city into two regions: Puxi ("west of Huangpu"), the traditional city center, and Pudong ("east of Huangpu").

Baoyang Road (simplified Chinese: 宝杨路; traditional Chinese: 寶楊路; pinyin: Bǎoyáng Lù) is a station on Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006. Baoyang Road Ferry Terminal is located nearby, servicing Chongming Island.

Shanghai Xingzhi High School is a school founded in Chongqing in 1939 by educator Tao Xingzhi. The school is located near the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal. Its predecessor was the Chongqing Yucai School.

Songfa Road (simplified Chinese: 淞发路; traditional Chinese: 淞發路; pinyin: Sōngfā Lù) is a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006.

Guofan Road (simplified Chinese: 国帆路; traditional Chinese: 國帆路; pinyin: Guófān Lù) is a Shanghai Metro station located on Line 10 in Yangpu District, Shanghai. The station is located on Songhu Road at Guofan Road, between Xinjiangwancheng and Shuangjiang Road stations. Heading northbound, this will be the last station on the metro line on the Puxi side of the Huangpu River. It was expected to open with the rest of the phase two northern extension of Line 10 in 2018, however, due to construction delays, it opened on 26 December 2020. It will be an underground station with an island platform.

Youyi Road (simplified Chinese: 友谊路; traditional Chinese: 友誼路; pinyin: Yǒuyì Lù) is a station on the Shanghai Metro Line 3. It is part of the northern extension of that line from Jiangwan Town to North Jiangyang Road that opened on 18 December 2006.

Shuangjiang Road (Chinese: 双江路; pinyin: Shuāngjiāng Lù) is a Shanghai Metro station located on Line 10 in Pudong, Shanghai. Located at the intersection of Shuangjiang Road and Gangcheng Road, it was expected to open with the rest of the northern extension of Line 10 in 2018, however, due to construction delays, it opened on 26 December 2020.
