Brookside Golf Course

The Cruel World Festival is an annual music festival held at the Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. It was founded in 2020, and is organized by FKOA / Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents. The festival revolves around the new wave, post-punk, gothic rock and alternative rock genres. In the park, several stages continuously host live music. Cruel World Festival showcases popular and established musical artists as well as reunited groups. The first edition in May 2022 featured Morrissey, Bauhaus, Blondie among more than 25 artists. A second edition of the festival was announced for May 20, 2023, featuring Siouxsie and Iggy Pop as headliners with a run of 20 other artists including Billy Idol, Love and Rockets, Echo & the Bunnymen and the Human League.

The Rose Bowl Game is an annual American college football bowl game, usually played on January 1 (New Year's Day) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. When New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, the game is played on Monday, January 2. The Rose Bowl Game is nicknamed "The Granddaddy of Them All" because it is the oldest currently operating bowl game. It was first played in 1902 as the Tournament East–West football game, and has been played annually since 1916. Since 1945, it has been the highest attended college football bowl game. The game is a part of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association's "America's New Year Celebration", which also includes the historic Rose Parade. Winners of the game received the Leishman Trophy, named for former Tournament of Roses presidents, William L. Leishman and Lathrop K. Leishman who played an important part in the history of this game. The Rose Bowl Game has traditionally hosted the conference champions from the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences (or their predecessors). Since 2002, the Rose Bowl Game has occasionally deviated from its traditional matchups for use in "national championship" systems. In 2002 and 2006 (the 2001 and 2005 seasons), under the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) system, the Rose Bowl was designated as its championship game, and hosted the top two teams determined by the BCS system. Beginning in 2015, the Rose Bowl has been part of the College Football Playoff (CFP) as one of the New Year's Six bowls—the top six major bowl games in the national championship system—hosting one of the semifinal games every three years. During non-CFP years, the Rose Bowl reverts to its traditional Pac-12/Big Ten matchup, unless the champions from those conferences are selected to play in the College Football Playoff.

The Rose Bowl is an outdoor athletic stadium located in Pasadena, California. Opened in October 1922, the stadium is recognized as a National Historic Landmark and a California Historic Civil Engineering landmark. At a modern capacity of an all-seated configuration at 92,542, the Rose Bowl is the 16th-largest stadium in the world, the 11th-largest stadium in the United States, and the 10th-largest NCAA stadium. The stadium is 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. One of the most famous venues in sporting history, the Rose Bowl is best known as a college football venue, specifically as the host of the annual Rose Bowl Game for which it is named. Since 1982, it has served as the home stadium of the UCLA Bruins football team. Five Super Bowl games, third most of any venue, have been played in the stadium. The Rose Bowl is a noted soccer venue, having hosted the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final, 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup Final, and the 1984 Olympic Soccer Gold Medal Match, as well as numerous CONCACAF and United States Soccer Federation matches.The stadium and adjacent Brookside Golf and Country Club are owned by the city of Pasadena and managed by the Rose Bowl Operating Company, a non-profit organization whose board is selected by council members of the city of Pasadena. UCLA and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses also have one member on the company board. The Chief Executive Officer and General Manager was Darryl Dunn from 1999 until he retired in June 2022.

The 1992 Rose Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 1992, the 78th Rose Bowl Game. Before 103,566 in attendance in Pasadena, California, and a national television audience, the #2 Washington Huskies defeated the #4 Michigan Wolverines 34–14.Washington defensive tackle Steve Emtman and quarterback Billy Joe Hobert were named the Players Of The Game. The undefeated Washington Huskies were named the national champions by the coaches poll, after being left at #2 in the AP writers poll, behind Miami.

The House at 1015 Prospect Boulevard is a historic house located at 1015 Prospect Boulevard in Pasadena, California. Built in 1913, the house was likely the first built in Pasadena's Arroyo Park Tract. Architect Sylvanus Marston designed the English-inspired Arts and Crafts house. The two-story house has a stucco exterior with several sets of wood-frame, double-hung windows. A gabled portico with Tudor half-timbered ornamentation covers the front entrance. The multi-component roof has a gable-on-hip main section with a cross gable-on-hip section over the east side; two stucco chimney stacks rise from the roof.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 20, 2004. It is also part of the Prospect Historic District, which had previously been listed on the National Register.

Chandler School is an independent, co-ed day school for students in kindergarten through grade eight located in Pasadena, California United States, founded in 1950. School enrollment is 450 students. The 4.5-acre (1.8 ha) campus overlooks the Pasadena Rose Bowl and the Arroyo Seco.

Banbury Oaks is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It is bordered by Washington Boulevard to the north, Mountain Street to the south, Fair Oaks Avenue to the East, and Forest Avenue to the west. The neighborhood is bisected by I-210. The main roads through the neighborhood are Hammond Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Prospect Historic District is a residential historic district in Pasadena, California, consisting of homes along Prospect Boulevard and several surrounding streets. The district includes 108 residences and roughly encompasses the Prospect Park and Arroyo Park Tracts, a pair of early Pasadena subdivisions. Development on the Prospect Park Tract began in 1904, and the first house was built there in 1906. The Arroyo Park Tract was first surveyed in 1910, and its development soon followed; the two tracts were linked by the Prospect Boulevard Bridge, which was built in 1908. The houses in the district represent a wide variety of architectural styles and include works by several prominent architects, such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Millard House, Charles and Henry Greene's Bentz House, and a 1909 mansion designed by Alfred and Arthur Heineman. The varied architecture of the district's homes is united by its landscaping, particularly through the camphor trees which line its streets.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 7, 1983.

Kidspace Children's Museum is a children's museum in Pasadena, California. It is located next to the Rose Bowl, in the former Fannie E. Morrison Horticultural Center.

Gartz Court is a bungalow court located at 745 N. Pasadena Ave. in Pasadena, California. The court consists of five buildings containing six residential units, which surround an oval rose garden and walkways. Built in 1910, the court, along with Bowen Court, is one of the oldest remaining in Pasadena. The court was commissioned by Kate Crane Gartz, the heir to Crane Plumbing, and was designed by Myron Hunt and Elmer Grey. The homes' designs were influenced by the English Arts and Crafts Movement and feature stone chimneys, wood shingled skirts, and Tudor Revival-style half-timbering. The court was originally located at 270 N. Madison Ave., but was moved to its current location in 1984 to save it from demolition.The court was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 25, 1983.

Millard House, also known as La Miniatura, is a textile block house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1923 in Pasadena, California. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Louise C. Bentz House is a historic house located at 657 Prospect Boulevard in Pasadena, California. Built in 1906, the bungalow was designed by prominent Pasadena architects Charles and Henry Greene. While the house has a typical bungalow design, its design also exhibits chalet influences in its overhangs and pitched roof and Japanese influences in the edges of the roof and overall horizontal emphasis. The house is the best remaining example of the houses the Greene brothers designed for middle-class Pasadena residents, most of which have been demolished or significantly altered. In addition, the house was the first built in the Prospect Park Tract, a neighborhood of historic homes designed by prominent architects. John Bentz, a significant Pasadena businessman and developer, commissioned the house.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 1977.
