Meridian–Forest Historic District is a national historic district located at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. The district encompasses 220 contributing buildings and 13 contributing structures in a predominantly residential section of Brazil. The district developed between about 1866 and 1940, and includes notable examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Queen Anne style architecture. The district is characterized by brick streets and alleys. Notable buildings include the First Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge, Carnegie Library, and Brazil Junior High School.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Brazil Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. The district encompasses 35 contributing buildings and two contributing objects in the central business district of Brazil. The district developed between about 1875 and 1935, and includes notable examples of Italianate, Romanesque Revival, and Renaissance Revival style architecture. Located in the district is the separately listed United States Post Office. Other notable buildings include the Sinclair Oil Gas Station (c. 1935), Lark Theater (1922, 1958), Citizens Bank Building (c. 1910), Brazil Trust Company (c. 1915), D.H. Davis Building (1909), and Telephone Building (c. 1925).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

US Post Office-Brazil is a historic post office building located at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. It was designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under James Knox Taylor and built in 1911–1913 in the Classical Revival style. It is a two-story, brick building over a raised granite faced basement. The front facade features a blind colonnade with six Tuscan order columns of Indiana limestone. It has a hipped roof hidden from view by a parapet. It has housed the Clay County Historical Society Museum since 1980.: 5–6, 13 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. It is located in the Brazil Downtown Historic District.

Clay County Courthouse is a historic courthouse located at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. It was designed by noted Indiana architect John W. Gaddis and built in 1914 in the Classical Revival style. It is a three-story, limestone building over a raised basement. It features a multi-tiered parapet with clock faces within a decorative tympanum and a two-story dome atop the flat roof. The interior has a rotunda with stained glass octahedral dome.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Brazil Township is one of eleven townships in Clay County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 8,471 and it contained 3,806 housing units.

Clay County Hospital is a historic hospital located at Brazil, Clay County, Indiana. It was built in 1927–1928, and is a 3+1⁄2-story, tan brick Colonial Revival style building. It is limestone trim and a slate hipped roof. Also on the property are the contributing former nurses residence (1947), original entrance, and two brick corner posts.: 5 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

WFNB is an FM radio station licensed to the city of Brazil, Indiana. The station operates on the FM radio frequency of 92.7 MHz, FM channel 224 [1]. The studios were located at 1301 Ohio Street in Terre Haute, Indiana. but were moved to 925 Wabash Avenue Suite 300. The building at 13th and Ohio was completely torn down in July 2013.

Knightsville is a town in Van Buren Township, Clay County, Indiana, United States. The population was 872 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Terre Haute Metropolitan Statistical Area.
