Calgary-North West is a provincial electoral district in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The district was created in 1979 and is mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.

Tuscany station is a CTrain light rail station in Tuscany and Rocky Ridge, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the northern terminus of the Northwest Line (Route 201), and opened as part of the route's the 2 km (1.24 miles) extension on August 23, 2014. Originally referred to in planning documents as Tuscany/Rocky Ridge station, Calgary Transit simplified the name on the recommendation of the Community Consultation Committee. The station, originally planned for completion after 2023, was approved and funded by Calgary City Council on November 7, 2007, for completion by 2011. The station had been included as part of Mayor Dave Bronconnier's re-election platform during the 2007 Municipal elections. Construction was to begin in the Spring of 2009 with completion in Fall 2011. However, budget issues as well as a delay with the Crowchild Trail/Stoney Trail Interchange delayed the start of construction three years to Spring 2012 with an opening date of August 23, 2014. It is currently the northwestern station/terminus on the CTrain system on the Red Line. The station is located in the median of Crowchild Trail, to the west of Rocky Ridge Road. The station is the final station currently planned for the Northwest leg of the CTrain, and is located approximately 2 kilometers northwest of the previous last CTrain station; Crowfoot. After only a few weeks of service the station exceeded the estimated usage of 9,000 weekday customers with 11,000 recorded weekday customers in mid-September 2014.The station has two Park and Ride lots, located on the north and south side of Crowchild Trail. Plans are to incorporate into the development an Art Moderne heritage gas station building and sign from a former restaurant and motel, Eamon's Bungalow Camp, that once lay along the Old Banff Coach Road.On September 20, 2016, the worst accident in CTrain history occurred in the tail-tracks north of the station. In the early morning, a three car Series 8 train, composed of units (listed from the north-facing direction) 2311, 2310 and 2329, stopped at the platform, and then accelerated into the tail-track. The accident resulted in three injuries stemming from the 60 km/h impact with an overhead wire pole at the end of the tracks. The driver suffered serious injuries, as the catenary counterweights went through the windshield. The accident resulted in car 2311 being retired.

Lynx Ridge is a residential subdivision in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the extreme western edge of the city, bordered on the east by Twelve Mile Coulee Road and to the south by the Bow River. Its northern and western boundaries are the city limits and rural residential development within the area of Bearspaw. The subdivision covers 88 hectares and the Lynx Ridge Golf Club winds its way through the neighbourhood. The subdivision was established in the Municipal District of Rocky View in the late-1990s/early-2000s, and was annexed into the City of Calgary on January 1, 2005.It is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 1 councillor.

Rocky Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the western edge of the city, and is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the east by Rocky Ridge Road, to the south by Crowchild Trail and to the west by Twelve Mile Coulee Road. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1989 (from the Municipal District of Rocky View), and Rocky Ridge was established in 1998. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 1 councillor.Rocky Ridge is situated at 1,265 meters (4,150 ft), and with elevation reaching 1,275 meters (4,183 ft).

The Calgary Alberta Temple is the 140th temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and the third built in Alberta. The first, previously known as the Alberta Temple, was built in Cardston in 1923. The Edmonton Alberta Temple opened in 1999.

Royal Oak is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located close to the northwestern edge of the city and is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the east by Stoney Trail, to the south by Crowchild Trail and to the west by Rocky Ridge Road. Royal Oak is located near Rocky Ridge, Calgary. The land was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1989 (from the Municipal District of Rocky View), and Royal Oak was established in 1997. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.

Scenic Acres is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by Crowchild Trail, to the east by Nose Hill Drive, to the west by Stoney Trail and to the south by Nose Hill Drive. The area was annexed by the City of Calgary in the 1960s, and the neighbourhood was established in 1981. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 1 councillor.

Valley Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located at the western edge of the city, south of the Bow River and north of the Trans-Canada Highway. The Valley Ridge golf course is located in the northern part of the community. The community is located on the former site of the Happy Valley Campground a fun park with slides, which was a major destination for visitors to Calgary until it was closed in the 1980s; the campground was located where the golf course is now situated.

Baker Park is a 12-hectare (30-acre) urban park on the bank of the Bow River in the west edge of the city of Calgary. It is part of the pedestrian and bicycle Bow River pathway that links a vast network of urban parks on both sides of the river. Baker Park is situated across the river from Bowness Park east of the Bearspaw Water Intake Pump Station. With its river observation point overlooking the Bow River and Bowness Park and its archways and arbours, it is the "most popular" park in Calgary for outdoor weddings.

Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge, designed by GEC Architecture for the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada is a large recreational facility located at Rocky Ridge, Calgary. The main sponsor of the project, Shane Homes, is a large homebuilder company rooted in Calgary. The investment for this recreational center totaled $192 million. The design objective was to introduce a multipurpose health facility to bring both the rural and urban populations in Calgary together through a space that promotes healthy living and community. Shane Homes YMCA opened to the public in 2018 as the construction was fully completed in 2017. This particular YMCA is known as the World's largest YMCA in terms of square footage (284,000 sq ft [26,400 m2]) and contains North America's largest glue-laminated timber roof. This communal facility is home to a multitude of active spaces that provide all ages and abilities with an area that promotes healthy living.

Bowness Park is a 30-hectare (74-acre) urban park on the Bow River in Bowness, a neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of the City of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is popular in the summer for picnics and boating, and in winter for ice skating on the lagoon and the canal which feeds it. The park was closed to the public for safety reasons after the major flood which hit Calgary in June 2013. The west half of the park reopened in November 2014, and the east half of the park reopened in 2016. Among other attractions, a ridable miniature railway operates seasonally in the park.

Greenwood/Greenbriar is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, the Bow River to the north, Stoney Trail to the west and the community of Bowness to the east. Canada Olympic Park borders the neighbourhood to the south. The community consists primarily of a mobile home park, Greenwood Village; maps since the early 1980s have shown proposed streets south of the mobile home park and north of the Trans-Canada Highway, but as of 2019 development had begun on a community named Greenwich that would primarily include semi-detached homes, commercial businesses & restaurants. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 1 councillor.
