Ulsan Castle (울산왜성, 蔚山倭城), also known as is a Japanese style castle in Ulsan, South Korea which was constructed during the Japanese invasions of Korea (Imjin war) by Katō Kiyomasa's army. Today, Ulsan Castle is almost ruined by the city planning of Ulsan. Ulsan Japanese Castle was excluded from Historic Sites of South Korea on October 30, 1997.

Ulsan Jungang Market or Ulsan Central Market is a traditional street market in Jung-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. It is the largest traditional market in Ulsan. The market contains many shops that sell fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, breads, clothing, and Korean traditional medicinal items. The market also has many small restaurants and street-food stalls. The market is also home to "Barbeque Eel ally" (Korean: 곰장어 골목; RR: Gom Jang-eo Golmok), which is a street famous for the many restaurants serving freshly-killed barbequed pike eel that can be found there.

Dongchun Gymnasium is a multi-purpose indoor sporting arena located in Jung-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. The capacity of the arena is 5,831. It was opened in January 2001 after several setbacks and problems with its construction.

The Taehwa River flows into Ulsan Bay. The river's entire 46-kilometer course lies within the metropolitan city of Ulsan. The Taehwa drains an area of nearly 645 km²; much of this lies within Ulsan, but portions of it lie in neighboring cities such as Gyeongju.

The allied army, number 29,500 men, laid siege to Tosan near Ulsan in late October. The fortress was too heavily fortified to attempt an assault, however a series of engagements did occur around the area, resulting in more than 2,000 Japanese casualties. Allied forces lifted the siege on 2 November. Katō Kiyomasa's men departed for Japan on 14 December 1598.

Ulsan (Korean pronunciation: [uɭ.s͈an]), officially the Ulsan Metropolitan City, is South Korea's seventh-largest metropolitan city and the eighth-largest city overall, with a population of over 1.1 million inhabitants. It is located in the south-east of the country, neighboring Busan to the south and facing Gyeongju to the north. Ulsan is the industrial powerhouse of South Korea, forming the heart of the Ulsan Industrial District. It has the world's largest automobile assembly plant, operated by the Hyundai Motor Company; the world's largest shipyard, operated by Hyundai Heavy Industries; and the world's third largest oil refinery, owned by SK Energy. In 2020, Ulsan had a GDP per capita of $65,352, the highest of any region in South Korea.

Samsan-dong is a dong, or neighborhood, of Nam-gu in Ulsan, South Korea. Samsan literally translates as "three mountains". It is Ulsan's downtown area.

Ulsan Culture & Arts Center is an arts center located in Dal-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. Construction of the building began in 1990 and the center opened on 5 October 1995. It was previously named the Jonghap Culture & Arts Center (Korean: 종합문화예술회관) but was renamed in 1997. It is the site of the annual Cheoyong Culture Festival, which accompanies the Ulsan World Music Festival and the Asia Pacific Music Meeting.

Nam District (Nam-gu) is a district of Ulsan, South Korea. Its name literally means "South Ward".

Ulsan Wholesale Agricultural and Fish Market (Korean: 울산 농수산물 도매시장) is a wholesale market in Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. The market comprises two structures, a covered area where agricultural products are sold, and a building that houses the fish market and several restaurants that prepare the fish after they are purchased. Prepared dishes include hoe, sannakji, and maeuntang. The market often sells whale meat and whales are sometimes butchered at the exterior of the fish market.

Dal-dong is a dong, or neighborhood, of Nam-gu in Ulsan, South Korea.

Buk District (literally north district) is a gu, or district, in north central Ulsan, South Korea. Its name literally means "North Ward". It stretches roughly from the Ring Road to Mohwa into the north and out to the coast in the east.
