Trowbridge Park is an unincorporated community in Marquette Township, Marquette County, in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is also a census-designated place (CDP) for statistical purposes and has no legal status as an incorporated municipality. The CDP had a population of 2,287 at the 2020 census. The community is located within Marquette Township and borders the city of Marquette on the east and north.

The Upper Peninsula Brewing Company Building is an office building located at the intersection of Meeske Street and US 41 in Marquette, Michigan. It is also known as the Charles Meeske House. The structure served as the home and office of brewer Charles Meeske, secretary-treasurer and later president of the company. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Marquette Senior High School (MSHS) is a public, coeducational high school located in Marquette, Michigan, serving grades 9–12. The school enrolled 968 students in 2021-22, making it the largest high school in the Upper Peninsula.

UPHS Marquette is a Level II trauma center and a teaching hospital, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.In 2012, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette approved Marquette General Hospital's purchase by for-profit organization Duke LifePoint, a joint venture of Duke University Health System and LifePoint Health.

NMU's athletic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats, and compete primarily in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The men's ice hockey team, which competes in the NCAA Division I Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), won the Division I national championship in 1991.

Holy Family Orphanage was an abandoned Catholic orphanage located at 600 Altamont Street in Marquette, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 5, 2015.The building opened in 1915, served its last orphan in 1967, and was abandoned in 1982. Since being abandoned, the facility has been cited as an allegedly haunted location.

Northern Michigan University (Northern Michigan, Northern or NMU) is a public university in Marquette, Michigan. It was established in 1899 by the Michigan Legislature as Northern State Normal School. In 1963, the state designated Northern a university and gave the school its current name of Northern Michigan University. The university comprises five academic divisions, offering some 180 programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered by the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Health Sciences and Professional Studies. NMU's athletic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats and compete primarily in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The hockey team competes in NCAA Division I Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The Nordic ski team competes in the NCAA Central Collegiate Ski Association.

The Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival is a music festival held each year in Marquette, Michigan during the next-to-last full weekend of July and features traditional, acoustic and American music. Each year's main-stage line-up can include bluegrass, old-time, Cajun, Celtic, acoustic blues, Gospel, etc. The line-up includes national, regional and local performers, and singers/songwriters are always featured. The Festival also includes music and activities designed for teens and children. An arts and crafts show sponsored by a local art organization is held in conjunction with the Festival. Many of the arts and crafts vendors sell environment-friendly items. The Hiawatha Festival began in 1979 in Champion, Michigan. Since 1984, the Festival has been held at the Marquette Tourist Park. Camping is available on-site for everyone going to the festivals. The Hiawatha Music Festival is conducted by the Hiawatha Music N-n Profit Corporation, 501(c)3 non-profit commonly known as the Hiawatha Music Co-op. The Hiawatha Music Festival is located in Tourist Park, a campground along the Dead River. It is a great location for the festival and more than accommodates all campers to bathrooms with showers, a green field for activities, and a lake with a beach. The music festival requires a year-round effort of many volunteers to keep it going. This group still includes several of the original founders. Each year's Festival includes a variety of licensed, contracted food concessionaires, as well as a juried arts and crafts show. There is a token system much like most festivals that people can purchase in the same area as the vendors. Musicians also use this vendor area to promote or sell their CDs and DVDs. In addition, there are activities and performances for young children, tweens and teenagers. Workshops for adults run all day on Saturday and Sunday. Camping in the park is a very great experience during the festival. There are quiet sections for families, a section for youths to commune and camp, and the rising favorite 'A' section where the musicians normally stay. Even after midnight when the main stage has seen its last act, the musicians and bands will mix and congregate to play music all throughout the night. This is a great way for amateurs to even step in and show what they've got. Fire pits are available for warmth and light and are usable from start to end. Hiawatha and local authorities work to keep the festival a safe for all with a combination of experienced security volunteers, paid security and City officers. There'll be no festival in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic was to blame; the 42nd is deferred to 2021.

Marquette Mountain Resort is a small mountain and ski resort in Marquette, Michigan, the major city in the state's Upper Peninsula. The resort offers winter sports seasonally as well as mountain biking, volleyball, and hiking in the spring, summer, and fall. The hill has a summit elevation of 1,257 ft (383 m) above sea level, over 300 acres and a vertical drop of 457 ft (139 m). The recipient of lake effect snow from nearby Lake Superior, Marquette Mountain Resort receives an average of 150 in (380 cm) of snowfall annually. It has three chairlifts and a rope tow and is equipped with LED lighting for night skiing. The shore of the lake's Marquette Bay is just two miles (3.2 km) to the northeast. ten miles (16 km) to the south is the extensive runway of the county's Sawyer International Airport. The resort's parking lot is adjacent to highway M-553.
