The center, which is set on 210 acres (0.85 km2) of land in the Caves Valley Historic District, includes a 17,200-square-foot (1,600 m2) green exhibit hall, classrooms, outdoor classroom, a Native American Education site, amphitheater and 8+ miles trails. Irvine is home to the Nature Preschool and Earth Friends Homeschool. Irvine has 80,000 visitors a year. The center is renowned for holding green weddings. There are also family nature programs, summer camps and the Nature Preschool. Irvine is one of the first in the country to hold a Nature Preschool Conference for educators looking to add nature to their education to the 3-5 year old set.

WCAO (600 AM "Heaven 600") is a commercial radio station in Baltimore, Maryland. It broadcasts an urban gospel radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. It also airs some Christian talk and teaching programs. The studios and offices are located at The Rotunda shopping center in Baltimore. WCAO is powered at 5,000 watts. To protect other stations on AM 600, it uses a four-tower array directional antenna at all times. To improve its sound quality, WCAO broadcasts using HD Radio technology. The transmitter is off Garrison Forest Road at Caves Woods Road in Owings Mills, Maryland. Programming is also heard on the HD-2 digital subchannel of co-owned 102.7 WQSR.

The center is located on the corner of Painters Mill Road and on the 10100 block on Maryland Route 140, providing easy access to the Owings Mills station and its neighboring Metro Centre at Owings Mills.

The Owings Upper Mill (also known as A.E. Groff's Flour Mill) is a historic grist mill located at Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a large 3+1⁄2-story brick structure, 50 by 60 feet (15 by 18 m). The building stands on a low stone foundation, surmounted by a molded brick water table. Two frame extensions were built sometime in the 1880s. The words "EUREKA FLOUR MILL" are worked into the façade in purple brick between the second- and third-story windows. The building is probably the oldest and largest mill surviving in Baltimore County and was the last known project of Samuel Owings, the American Revolutionary War patriot and enterprising merchant.The Owings Upper Mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Owings Mills station is a Metro SubwayLink station in Owings Mills, Maryland. The station is experiencing transit-oriented development from Metro Centre at Owings Mills, bringing many apartments, office space, retail, restaurants, and condominiums to the area adjacent to the station. It has more parking spaces than all other stops along the line. The station is located in the center median of Interstate 795 and is the northern terminus of the line. The station provides direct connections to both sides of Interstate 795 serving a Parking lot on one side with connections to MTA buses and Metro Centre at Owings Mills on the other side via an underground pedestrian tunnel. Two buses currently serve this station: 87 to Glyndon 89 to Reisterstown Plaza 106 to Shepard Pratt Hospital (Towson) (SB) Note = Both operate via Reisterstown Road and connection to Owings Mills Town Center

Gwynnbrook Wildlife Management Area is an 88-acre (36 ha) Wildlife Management Area in Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland. The property is a former game farm that was purchased by Maryland in 1919, and is the oldest WMA in the state.

Owings Mills High School (OMHS) is a four-year public high school in Owings Mills, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Baltimore County Public Schools consolidated school district.

Owings Mills Mall was a shopping mall in Owings Mills, Maryland, United States that hosted 155 stores and eateries, in the Baltimore County, Maryland, community of Owings Mills. It was owned and managed by General Growth Properties (now Brookfield Properties). While its main entrance was off Red Run Boulevard between Painters Mill Road and Owings Mills Boulevard, the mall was also accessible from the exit ramps of I-795. It was originally known as Owings Mills Town Center. The mall was completely demolished in 2017, and redeveloped in 2019 as Mill Station. The mall's final anchor store was JCPenney, which closed its doors on April 8, 2016. Previous anchors were Bambergers, Hecht's, Macy's, Boscov's, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Sears. IFL (International Furniture Liquidators) was temporarily located in the space vacated by Lord & Taylor. Sticks 'N' Stuff, a furniture retailer, was temporarily located in the Sears building before it was demolished in 2004. The mall experienced the closures of several national stores, leaving many vacancies in this once upscale shopping mall.

Owings Mills is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a suburb of Baltimore. Per the 2020 census, the population was 35,674. Owings Mills is home to the northern terminus of the Baltimore Metro Subway, and housed the Owings Mills Mall until its closure in 2015. It is also home to the Baltimore Ravens' headquarters facility, and the studios for Maryland Public Television. In 2008, CNNMoney.com named Owings Mills number 49 of the "100 Best Places to Live and Launch".

Its studios are in Hunt Valley and its broadcast tower is located near Owings Mills at (39°26′49.9″N 76°46′47.2″W).The station's service contour covers the Baltimore metropolitan area and southern portions of South Central Pennsylvania. The station markets itself as the only station in the Baltimore market dedicated to the classic rock format.

Caves Valley Historic District is a national historic district near Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is located in a natural upland valley encompassing about 2,100 acres (8.5 km2) along the North Branch of the Jones Falls and its contributing courses. It includes cultivated fields, pastures, woodlands, streams, housing clusters, and agricultural structures. The vernacular buildings are log, stone, and frame, reflecting the local materials and functional plans of rural locations in the 18th and 19th centuries.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The Irvine Nature Center moved from its original location in Stevenson to a property here in 2008.
