Augustana University

KAUR (89.1 FM) is a radio station broadcasting programming from Minnesota Public Radio's News & Information service. Licensed to Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States, the station serves the greater Sioux Falls area and can reliably broadcast up to approximately 30 miles in any direction. The station is currently owned by Augustana University and operated by MPR. All programming originates from the Twin Cities, but the station has inserts at least once an hour for local underwriting and weather. MPR also maintains a small office space on the Augustana campus.

The Midco Arena in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a planned 3,082-seat ice hockey arena on the campus of Augustana University. The arena broke ground on October 5, 2021.

The Elmen Center is the former basketball arena and hosts volleyball games for the Augustana University Vikings in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is located on the Augustana campus. The Elmen Center seats approximately 4,000 fans. The building is also the recreational center for the university and a host of several late night events. The Elmen Center is 81,000 square feet.The Elmen Center was completed in 1989. Previously, Augustana basketball games were held at the Sioux Falls Arena. In 2000, the Elmen Center was the location of the NCAA Division II Elite 8 volleyball tournament.In addition to sports, the building can be used as a venue for concerts.On October 15, 2009, a fire broke out in the building after an object was left on hot equipment in the sauna. The fire resulted in the building's evacuation and about $25,000 in damage.In 2014 Augustana University agreed to a new deal which moved Men's and Women's doubleheaders into the Sioux Falls Arena, The Elmen Center now only hosts single basketball games, along with volleyball and wrestling matches.

South Side Fire Station No. 3, at 1324 S. Minnesota Ave. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was built in 1931. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is a one-story red brick building, built around 1931 for the National Youth Administration. It became a fire station in 1945. It was sold by the city in 1964 and became a coffee house. In 1983 it was home of the Bernice Johnson School of Modeling.

Kirkeby–Over Stadium is the football stadium of the Augustana University Vikings in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is located on the Augustana campus. The stadium opened in 2009 and replaced Howard Wood Field as the home field for the football team. The stadium seats approximately 6,500, including 2,200 chairback seats, and has a FieldTurf surface in a bowl venue. Luxury suites, a spacious press box and private media booths are featured on the west side of the stadium. The facility also boasts high definition television monitors in each suite and plenty of connection options for use by media. Fans are also able to watch the action from grass berms in the end zones. In 2021, the original FieldTurf was torn out and replaced with brand new turf. Construction of Kirkeby–Over Stadium began in October 2007 on the site of the Vikings’ practice field at 37th Street and Lake Avenue on campus. The completion gave the Vikings an on-campus facility for the first time in half a century. Kari and Bob Hall, who both attended Augustana, donated $6.1 million towards the construction of the stadium. Bob Hall became the equipment manager for the football program. The name honors the memory of Kari Hall’s father and mother, Percy Kirkeby and Elizabeth Markley Kirkeby-Over. Percy Kirkeby graduated from Augustana in 1947 and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Corps in Italy. He was killed in a plane crash in 1951. Elizabeth Markley Kirkeby-Over graduated from Augustana in 1944, and died in 1994.

KAUN-LD (channel 25) is a low-power television station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. The station is owned by Jim Simpson. KAUN-LD's transmitter is located on the campus of Sanford USD Medical Center near downtown Sioux Falls. KAUN-LD (as KAUN-LP) was an Ion Television affiliate until March 2008, when it switched to Retro TV. It later switched to Youtoo America (now YTA TV). As of February 2023, the station is not broadcasting any programming, yet it is still licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
