Perlovska

The Vladayska (Владайска река, Vladayska reka) is a river in western Bulgaria, a tributary of the Perlovska. The river flows from the northwestern slopes of Cherni Vrah on Vitosha Mountain, crossing Torfeno Branishte Nature Reserve, then submerging beneath Zlatnite Mostove Stone River, turning to the northeast at the village of Vladaya from which the river takes its name, entering Sofia Valley via Vladaya Gorge, and crossing the city of Sofia (featuring the historical ‘Lavov most’ / ‘Lion's Bridge’ in the process) to flow into the Perlovska (a tributary of the Iskar) in its northeastern suburbs.

Kubratovo (Bulgarian: Кубратово) is a village in Novi Iskar district of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, located some 9 km north of the city center. As of 2024 it has 634 inhabitants.

Chepintsi (Bulgarian: Чепинци) is a village in Novi Iskar district of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, located some 10 km north of the city center. As of 2024 it has 2,509 inhabitants.

24th Multi-member Constituency (Bulgarian: 24-ти многомандатен избирателен район) is one of the five Bulgarian constituencies whose borders are different from the administrative division. It comprises several regions in Eastern and Central Sofia.

Orlandovtsi (Bulgarian: Орландовци [orˈɫandoft͜si], also transliterated as Orlandovci or Orlandovtzi) is a neighbourhood of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It lies in the northeast of the city and is administratively part of the Serdika municipality. Orlandovtsi lies between Malashevtsi to the southeast and Iliyantsi to the northwest. The neighbourhood has two Bulgarian Orthodox churches and a school. It includes the Central Sofia Cemetery, popularly known as the Orlandodvtsi Cemetery. Orlandovtsi has been part of Sofia since 1961; before that date, it was a separate village. It was first mentioned in historical records in 1420, with several more references throughout the 18th century. According to the prevalent and scientifically accepted etymology, Orlandovtsi's name is derived from the personal name Orlando, whose bearer is theorized to have been a Western European crusader.

Novi Iskar (Bulgarian: Нови Искър [ˈnɔvi iskɐr]) is a town in Western Bulgaria, located in Sofia City Province, which is a part of the Municipality of Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria). It is often regarded as a northern suburb of Bulgarian capital Sofia and lies in the northern part of the Sofia Valley, with the Iskar Gorge beginning just north of the town. The town of Novi Iskar was formed in May 1974 with the merging of 3 villages: Aleksandar Voykov, Gnilyane and Kurilo. The village of Aleksandar Voykov was formed in 1955 when the Kumaritsa and Slavovtsi villages were merged. Initially a villa area, Izgrev is nowadays a district of the town. Today, Novi Iskar consists of 5 districts: Slavovtsi, Kumaritsa, Kurilo, Izgrev and Gnilyane.

24 SU "P.K. Yavorov" (Bulgarian: 24 СУ „Пейо Крачолов Яворов“) is a gymnasium in Sofia, Bulgaria. The school carries the name of the famous Bulgarian poet Peyo Yavorov. It was established in 1930. In 1969, it joined the 23rd Gymnasium “Poduene”, but later restored to a separate gymnasium again. Currently the school occupies its original building, built in accordance with the architectural standards of the early 20th century. Many famous people have graduated from this school. Some of them are Yan Georgiev (actor); Georgi Ljubenov (journalist), Borislav Mihajlov and Pavel Vidanov (football players), Momchil Davidov (lecturer in the Sofia MVR Academy, writer, poet, composer, artist, and an expert in the area of internal security and public order).

Vassil Tzankov Tzankov (Bulgarian: Васил Цанков Цанков) (April 2, 1905, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria – August 25, 1986, Sofia, Bulgaria) was a Bulgarian geologist and paleontologist. He is best known for his work on Upper Cretaceous ammonites and bivalves. Tzankov was head of Bulgarian Geological Survey from 1941 until 1944. In 1945 he became docent and in 1947 - professor, and was appointed to the paleontology chair at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". In the late 1950s Tzankov organized the launch and became the first editor and one of the principal authors of the multi-volume treatise "Fossils of Bulgaria" (Bulgarian: Фосилите на България). Contributors to the treatise included leading Bulgarian specialists in the field. He served as deputy director of the Geological Institute at the Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources in the period 1960-1966. From 1967 to 1982 Tzankov also served as head of the Department of Paleontology with the Geological Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 1967 he was elected as a corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The Central Sofia Cemetery (Bulgarian: Централни софийски гробища, Tsentralni sofiyski grobishta) or the Orlandovtsi Cemetery ("Орландовци") is the main cemetery in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The cemetery has several chapels used by various Christian denominations, such as a Bulgarian Orthodox church of the Dormition of the Theotokos, a Roman Catholic chapel of Saint Francis of Assisi, an Armenian Apostolic chapel, a Jewish synagogue, etc. The cemetery also features Russian, Serbian, Romanian and British military sections.

Serdika or Serdica is the historical Roman name of Sofia, now the capital of Bulgaria, and is also the name of a district (Bulgarian: Сердика [ˈsɛrdikɐ]) located in the center of the city. It includes four neighbourhoods: "Fondovi zhilishta"; "Banishora", "Orlandovtsi" and "Malashevtsi" as well as the central parts of "Draz mahala". It has an area of 17.53 km² that counts for 1.3% of the total Capital Municipality area and 8.8% of the city proper. As of 2006 Serdica has a population of 52,918. There are 6 kindergartens, 13 schools and 6 chitalishta in the territory of the district. Healthcare infrastructure includes II and V City Hospitals; Institute of Transport Medicine and two polyclinics. The Sofia Central Railway Station; Central Bus Station Sofia and the Lavov Most are also located in Serdica.
