Hesperia is a village in Newaygo and Oceana Counties in the U.S. state of Michigan; it is also the only village in Newaygo County. About half of the village lies in Newfield Township in Oceana County and half in Denver Township in Newaygo County. The population was determined to be 954 in both the 2000 and the 2010 Census.

The American Decency Association (ADA) is a non-profit organization associated with the Christian right based in Fremont, Michigan. Its principal cause is against pornography and "indecent" media. The ADA was founded in 1999 by former elementary school teacher, Bill Johnson, the first-named state director of the American Family Association (AFA) from 1987 to 1999. The organization was formerly known as the Michigan chapter of the AFA.

The former Fremont High School is a former school building located at 204 East Main Street in Fremont, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Sheridan Charter Township is a charter township of Newaygo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,423 at the 2000 census.

The Newaygo County Regional Educational Service Agency (NCRESA) is an Intermediate School District in Michigan serving the school districts that are primarily within Newaygo County. NCRESA provides services to six local public districts and five non-public schools within its boundaries. Directly or indirectly, NCRESA serves about 30 schools, with approximately 10,000 students.
