The Park Theatre in Estes Park, Colorado was built in 1913, and is the oldest operating cinema in the western United States. Designed by Clyde Anderson, it features an 80-foot-tall (24 m) neon-outlined tower, added by Ralph Gwynn in 1922.

The Fall River is a 17.1-mile-long (27.5 km) tributary of the Big Thompson River in Larimer County, Colorado. The river's source is near the Alpine Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park. It flows down a canyon and over Chasm Falls before a confluence with the Big Thompson in Estes Park.

It was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley, co-founder of the Stanley Motor Carriage Company, and opened on July 4, 1909, as a resort for upper-class Easterners and a health retreat for sufferers of pulmonary tuberculosis. The hotel and its surrounding structures are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the hotel includes a restaurant, spa, and bed-and-breakfast; with panoramic views of Lake Estes, the Rockies, and Longs Peak. The Stanley Hotel served as the inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King's 1977 bestselling novel The Shining and its 1980 film adaptation. It was also a filming location for the related 1997 TV miniseries.

KGRE-FM is a commercial radio station located in Estes Park, Colorado, broadcasting to the Fort Collins, Colorado area on 102.1 FM. KGRE-FM airs a Regional Mexican music format branded as El Tigre, simulcasting KGRE 1450 AM Greeley, Colorado. An additional 65-watt booster provides fill-in service to Fort Collins, while KGRE AM has a dependent co-channel translator (K271BN) that extends the FM signal to Greeley proper.

Local information about Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park is provided throughout the day and in a morning community bulletin board segment. Beginning the first Sunday in Advent, the station plays all holiday music until January 2.

Fish Creek is a tributary of the Big Thompson River in Larimer County, Colorado. The stream's source is Lily Lake in Roosevelt National Forest. It flows northeast to a confluence with the Big Thompson in Lake Estes.

Lumpy Ridge is a prominent series of rocky cliffs, slabs, and buttresses adjacent to and north of the town of Estes Park, Colorado and lies inside of Rocky Mountain National Park and is known for rock climbing.The highest point on the ridge are the Needles, at 10,068 feet (3,068.726 m.) on the western edge. Another recognizable feature are the Twin Owls, which, when viewed from Estes Park, look like owls. The slab of stone they rest on is known as the Roosting Ramp.

The Snogo Snow Blower was used on the Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, United States. Manufactured in 1932 by the Klauer Engineering Company of Dubuque, Iowa, the plow was actually a snowblower and featured advanced features such as an enclosed cab, four wheel drive and roll-up windows. It was used in the park until 1952.The Blower used a Climax Blue Streak six-cylinder gasoline engine (6x7=1188cuin), developing 175 horsepower at 1200 RPM. Through the use of an eight-speed gearbox, speed could be varied from 1/4 mile/hr up to a maximum of 25 mph when not moving snow. It was claimed to be capable of throwing snow 100 feet to the side.Similar blowers, used at Crater Lake and Yosemite National Parks, no longer exist. In 1943 the plow was loaned to Rapid City Air Base for use in keeping the airfield's runways clear, then returned in the spring. The National Park Service gave the plow to the city of Estes Park, Colorado in 1952, which used it until 1979, when it was damaged by water entering through the exhaust. The plow was returned to the park and put on display at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. The park plans to restore the plow to operating condition.

Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, also known as Rocky Mountain National Park Administration Building, is the park headquarters and principal visitors center of Rocky Mountain National Park in central northern Colorado. Completed in 1967, it was designed by Taliesin Associated Architects, and was one of the most significant commissions for that firm in the years immediately following the death of founder Frank Lloyd Wright. It was also one of the last major projects completed under the Park Service Mission 66 project. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2001.

Lake Estes is a reservoir in Estes Park, Colorado created by Olympus Dam. The lake has a shoreline of about 4 miles (6.4 km) and a surface area of 185 acres (75 ha). The reservoir lies on the Big Thompson River and is a component of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project. Lake Estes sits at 7,522 feet (2,293 m) in elevation with approximately 4 miles of shoreline within Larimer County.
