Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building is a historical building in Chinese Camp, California Tuolumne County, California. The Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building is a California Historical Landmark No. 140 listed on June 6, 1934. The Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building was built in 1849. Construction was done by the Walkerly brothers. After the Wells Fargo Express moved out the Morris brothers took ownership of the building and it became a general store. Morris brothers also worked with the Adams Express Company. The original express agents were Sol Miller, C. W. H. Solinsky, and the Morris brothers. Fire from the many wooden buildings and the used of lanterns and candles for lighting made early California Gold Rush have many fires. The Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building was made of brick, with iron doors and iron window shutters to protect it from fires. The Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building is at Main Street and Solinsky Alley in Chinese Camp. The marker was placed there by California Office of Historic Preservation. At Tuolumne Wells Fargo Express Company Building is a marker: To Honor Eddie Webb The marker reads: Born December 17, 1880, in Snelling, Calif. One of the last of the stage drivers, Eddie made the haul from Chinese Camp to the Coulterville, Groveland areas between 1898-1902 and drove the first mail stage over the new Shawmut Road. Place by E Clampus Vitus on May 6, 1961.

The Red Hills are a mountain range in Tuolumne County, California. Elevations within the Red Hills vary between 750 and 1,750 feet (230 and 530 m) above sea level. Slopes of the hills themselves vary from about 30% to 75%. In 1937 Paramount filmed on location at the Red Hills area the motion picture North of the Rio Grande (1937) starring William Boyd as 'Hopalong Cassidy'. The studio sent a Hetch Hetchy railroad locomotive No.30 to roll through the Red Hills scenic landscape.

The Chicken Ranch Casino Resort is a casino resort in Tuolumne County, California, United States. Founded in 1985 as the bingo hall Chicken Ranch Bingo Palace, it is owned by the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California. The venue installed its earliest casino-like machines in 2000 and went through a remodeling in 2011 to have a Western theme. The casino underwent a $325 million extension in 2024. The new nine-story resort had 197 hotel rooms and several restaurants including a Wahlburgers. The new gaming facility added 900 slot machines and 14 table games.

The Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California is a federally recognized tribe of Miwok people in Tuolumne County, California. The Chicken Ranch Rancheria Miwok are central Sierra Miwok, an Indigenous people of California.

Jacksonville, California is a historical farming town site in Chinese Camp, California in Tuolumne County, California. The site of the Jacksonville, California is a California Historical Landmark No. 419 listed on February 28, 1949. The town is now under the Don Pedro Reservoir formed in 1924. Jacksonville was founded by farmer Julian Smart along the Tuolumne River at an elevation of 800 feet. In spring 1849, Smart planted a garden and an orchard. Smart named the town Jacksonville after Colonel A. M. Jackson. The Tuolumne River provided water not only for the farms but the many 49 California Gold Rush mining operations in the region. In 1852 a US post office opened with a population of 252. The largest mine in the region was the Eagle-Shawmut mine. A Jacksonville historical marker is on a Vista point on California State Route 120, 3.5 miles southeast of Chinese Camp, California. The marker was placed there by the Sonora Rotary Club and Tuolumne County Gold Centennial Committee in 1950.

The James E. Roberts Memorial Bridge is a 1,400 foot two-lane highway bridge along the California State Route 120/California State Route 49 concurrency, in Tuolumne County, California. The bridge spans the Tuolumne River just north of Lake Don Pedro, near the community of Chinese Camp. It opened in 1971. Originally named the Tuolumne River Bridge, it was renamed in 2007 in honor of James E. Roberts by legislative resolution. Roberts was the California Department of Highways (now, Caltrans) project manager, his first project management assignment as a senior bridge engineer. The cost to create new highway signs was raised by private donations.

Track Bus No. 19 is a motorized rail car built on a White Motor Company standard truck chassis. It was built by Thomson-Graf-Edler in 1919 for the Hetch Hetchy Railroad and used as an ambulance to transport sick, injured or dead workers, and to carry passengers. An additional five similar railcars were ordered, none were exactly the same. The car sat unused after it was moved to Modesto, then was restored and displayed at the Yosemite Transportation Museum in El Portal. In 1997 No. 19 was donated to Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown California.

Railtown 1897 State Historic Park, and its operating entity, the Sierra Railway, is known as "The Movie Railroad." Both entities are a heritage railway and are a unit of the California State Park System. Railtown 1897 is located in Jamestown, California. The entire park preserves the historic core of the original Sierra Railway of California (later reincorporated as the Sierra Railroad). The railway's Jamestown locomotive and rolling stock maintenance facilities are remarkably intact and continue to function much as they have for over 100 years. The maintenance facilities are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Sierra Railway Shops Historic District.

The Emporium is a historic commercial building erected in 1897 in Jamestown, California. It was built as a department store which was short-lived, in the early 20th century served as a mercantile and telephone exchange, and from 1936 until 1967 it operated as a grocery store. It has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since February 17, 1978, for architecture and historical significance for the region; is also listed as a California Historical Landmark since February 17, 1978; and has a historical marker erected since 2007 by the Tuolumne County Historical Society. The building now serves as an antiques shop and cafe.

Paulsell Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located within Paulsell Valley, in Stanislaus County, California. The Paulsell Valley occupies some of the first rises out of the San Joaquin Valley floor, and, as such, is described as part of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The appellation was established as the nation's 264th, the state's 145th and county's fourth AVA on June 3, 2022 by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Treasury after reviewing the petition submitted by Patrick L. Shabram on behalf of Rock Ridge Ranch proposing the establishment of a viticultural area named "Paulsell Valley." The Paulsell Valley viticultural area encompasses approximately 34,155 acres (53 sq mi) and home to three vineyards cultivating about 864 acres (350 ha) with a fourth vineyard of approximately 700 acres (280 ha) currently planned. The Paulsell Valley is not currently within or adjacent to any existing AVA. The closest existing AVA is Sierra Foothills located approximately one mile (1.6 km) to the northeast at its closest location. The plant hardiness zone is 9b.

Jamestown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tuolumne County, California, United States. The population was 3,433 at the 2010 census, up from 3,017 at the 2000 census. Formerly a California Gold Rush town, Jamestown is a California Historical Landmark since March 16, 1949. It is the home of Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and the Sierra Railway, which operates steam passenger trains.

Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) is a 420-acre (170 ha) state prison located in Tuolumne County, California, near the unincorporated community of Jamestown. Programs offered to prisoners include education, firefighting training, and sewing. As of July 31, 2022, SCC was incarcerating people at 65.9% of its design capacity, with 2,528 occupants.
