Port of Shenzhen

The Nanshan Mountains or Nanshan are a set of mountains in Shenzhen. The largest of them are the 336-meter (1,102 ft) Dananshan (大南山) and the 150-meter (490 ft) Xiaonanshan (小南山). They are located at the southern tip of Nanshan District, itself named after the mountains. With the Nanshan urban core at its north, Qianhai at its west and Shekou at its southeast, it is amongst the only greenery spaces in the southern half of the district. From the top of Dananshan views can reach west to Nei Lingding Island, east to Futian Central Business District and south to Yuen Long, Hong Kong across Shenzhen Bay.

Shenzhen Mawan Thermal Power Station (深圳马湾电厂) is a coal fired power plant located in Nanshan district in the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong province, China. It was one of the first coal fired plants in China to implement clean coal technology to lower the presence of sulphur and nitrogen oxides in its effluent, thus reducing air pollution dramatically.The power plant has a capacity of 6 x 300 MW and is located in the South west of Shenzhen, near the coast where a dedicated coal jetty provides a supply of coal for the plant.

Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone (simplified Chinese: 前海深港现代服务业合作区; traditional Chinese: 前海深港現代服務業合作區; pinyin: Qiánhǎi Shēngǎng Xiàndài Fúwùyè Hézuòqū) is a commercial development in Shenzhen, Guangdong that is also known as Qianhai New District. Located in Nanshan District and encircled by the Shuangjie River, Yueliangwan Boulevard, Mawan Boulevard and Qianhai Bay, Qianhai covers an area of approximately 15 square kilometres (5.8 sq mi), comprising almost entirely reclaimed land. The project is expected to be completed by 2020.

Shekou West was a freight station in Nanshan District in Shenzhen. It was located near Chiwan station of the Shenzhen Metro. The branch line from Shenzhen West railway station to Shekou was dismantled in 2016, along with the line from Shenzhen West to Mawan.

Chiwan (Chinese: 赤湾; Cantonese: Chik Wan) is a bay area surrounded by Chiwan hill at the east, Xiaonanshan hill at the north, and Ying Zui hill at the southeast, in Nanshan district, Shenzhen, China.

Nanshan District (simplified Chinese: 南山区; traditional Chinese: 南山區; pinyin: Nánshān Qū ; Cantonese Jyutping: Naam4 Saan1 Keoi1) is one of the nine districts comprising Shenzhen. It encompasses the southwest area of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, with a population of 1.08 million. In 2022, the district of Nanshan's local GDP output exceeded 800 billion Chinese Yuan or 111 billion U.S. dollars, an economy slightly larger than that of Cuba or Oman. The region has an established tourism industry and is home to several sightseeing locations, as well as multiple seaside parks such as the Shenzhen Bay Park and the Shenzhen Talent Park. Its tallest building is the 393-meter China Resources Headquarters. It is known for being the home of Shenzhen High-Tech Industrial Park, which comprises some of China's largest technology companies and the establishments of well-known international companies, as well as being the nation's richest district of a city-level municipality. The district has some of the most expensive neighborhoods in China in terms of real estate prices.

Chiwan railway station is a former railway station on the Pingnan Railway. It opened in 1993. In 2005, Chiwan railway station was demolished to make way for a new access road into Chiwan port. The port holdings company paid out compensation of over 34 million yuan as a result of the redevelopment.

Chiwan station (simplified Chinese: 赤湾站; traditional Chinese: 赤灣站; pinyin: Chìwān Zhàn; Jyutping: Cek3 Waan1 Zaam6) is the southwest terminal metro station on Line 2 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 28 December 2010. The Line 5 platforms opened on 28 September 2019.

Zuopaotai East station (Chinese: 左炮台东站; pinyin: Zuǒpàotái Dōng; Jyutping: Zo2 Paau3 Toi4 Dung1) is the southern terminal metro station on Line 12 of Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on November 28, 2022.The station is named after the Left Fort which played a critical role in the defense of the Qing troops during the Opium Wars in the 19th century.

Huaguoshan station (Chinese: 花果山站; pinyin: Huāguǒ Shān; Jyutping: Faa1 Gwo2 Saan1) is a metro station on Line 12 of Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on November 28, 2022.

Shekou (Chinese: 蛇口; pinyin: Shékǒu) is an area at the southern tip of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It faces Yuen Long, Hong Kong across the Shenzhen Bay. It has been designated as a Free Trade Zone by the government, alongside Qianhai, Hengqin and Nansha New Area.

Shekou Port station (Chinese: 蛇口港站; pinyin: Shékǒu Gǎng Zhàn; Jyutping: Se4 Hau2 Gong2 Zaam6) is a metro station on Line 2 of the Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on 28 December 2010. This station helped serve the population travelling via the former Shekou Passenger Terminal, which is the origin of the station name. A shuttle bus runs from there (Exit C) to the new Shekou Cruise Center. In early planning, this station was the southwestern terminus of Line 2.
