Rio Linda High School is a high school located in Rio Linda, Sacramento, California, United States. It has an enrollment of 2,035 students. It is part of the Twin Rivers Unified School District, and was formerly part of the Grant Unified School District. Rio Linda High School opened in 1962 and has been one of the primary high schools for students in the Rio Linda/Elverta and Natomas Communities. It offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and academic opportunities.

Natomas/Sacramento Airport is a planned train station that will be a stop on Altamont Corridor Express and Amtrak California's San Joaquin services. The station site is in the Natomas area, north of Sacramento, east of Blacktop Road and immediately south of West Elkhorn Boulevard. Planned as the northern terminus of the Valley Rail project, it was expected to open no later than 2023. By 2023, the opening date had been pushed back to 2026. A shuttle bus will provide connectivity for those traveling between the station and Sacramento International Airport, 8 miles (13 km) to the east.

The borders of Robla are generally considered to be city limits on the north adjacent to Rio Linda, McClellan Park on the east, the Beltline Freeway Interstate 80 on the south, and Northgate Boulevard on the west. KXJZ (90.9 MHz) is a non-commercial, listener-supported public radio station in Sacramento, California. It is owned by Sacramento State University and has studios on the campus at 7055 Folsom Boulevard. KXJZ's sister station is classical music-formatted KXPR 88.9 FM. The two stations are known as CapRadio (formerly Capital Public Radio). KXJZ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum for most stations in California. The transmitter is on Sorento Road in Elverta. KXJZ broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD-2 digital subchannel carries KXPR's classical format.

KDND (107.9 MHz) was an FM radio station licensed to Sacramento, California, United States. The station first signed on in 1947 as KXOA-FM, an FM simulcast of AM station KXOA, before separating itself with distinct programming, including most prominently soft rock, adult contemporary, and classic hits formats. In July 1998, two years after the sale of the station to Entercom (now Audacy, Inc.), the station switched to its final KDND call letters and contemporary hit radio format branded as 107.9 The End. At the time of the station's closing, KDND's studios were located in North Highlands (though with a Sacramento address), while its transmitter was located just north of the Sacramento city limits near Elverta. In January 2007, KDND's morning show controversially held an on-air contest called "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" in which contestants were challenged to drink as much water as they could without urinating, in order to win a Wii video game console. A 28-year-old participant in the contest died of water intoxication, resulting in Entercom being sued for wrongful death by the participant's family. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) also investigated the incident; in 2016, it designated the renewal of KDND's license for hearing, questioning whether the station had operated in the public interest. Citing that its continued operation could affect Entercom's proposed acquisition of CBS Radio, KDND was shut down on February 8, 2017, and its format and branding were moved to KUDL two days earlier on February 6. The FCC auctioned the frequency in 2021; iHeartMedia won the bidding, and KSTE-FM (now KZIS) began broadcasting on May 4, 2022.

Sacramento McClellan Airport (IATA: MCC, ICAO: KMCC, FAA LID: MCC) is a privately owned public-use airport located six miles (10 km) northeast of the central business district of Sacramento (a city in Sacramento County, California, United States).The airport is on the former site of McClellan Air Force Base, which existed as a military base from 1939 to 2000. It was transferred to Sacramento County in 2000, as part of its conversion into McClellan Business Park, and was purchased by McClellan Business Park in October 2017. The airport is a public-use facility which operates as an uncontrolled airfield in what the FAA designates as Class "E" Airspace. The airport is mainly used for general aviation. Current airport tenants include Calstar, the California Department of Forestry, United States Coast Guard, Air Station Sacramento, Dassault Falcon, United States Forest Service, PODS, and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. All ground handling and fueling is completed by McClellan Jet Services, a subsidiary of McClellan Business Park.

McClellan Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California. McClellan Park sits at an elevation of 69 feet (21 m). The 2010 United States Census reported that McClellan Park's population was 743. It is the site of the former McClellan Air Force Base, closed by the federal government in 2003. McClellan Air Force Base (currently McClellan Park) was named in honor of test pilot Hezekiah McClellan. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers an area of 4.1 square miles (10.5 km2), all of it land. Its closest neighbor is North Highlands.

Rancho Del Paso was a 44,371-acre (179.56 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sacramento County, California, In 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena, Captain John Sutter’s old friend, gave 44,000 acres to Elijah Grimes. Grimes called it the Rancho del Paso because it was on the road to the pass of the American River through the Sierra. . The grant extended along the north bank of the American River and was bounded roughly by today’s Northgate Boulevard, Manzanita Avenue, and Elkhorn Boulevard. The grant encompassed present-day North Sacramento, Del Paso Heights, Rio Linda, Arden-Arcade, and a portion of Carmichael.
