White Hall, Arkansas

White Hall High School is a public high school located in White Hall, Arkansas, United States. White Hall serves grades 9–12 for the White Hall School District. It serves White Hall, sections of Pine Bluff, and Redfield. It also serves Jefferson.

White Hall School District (WHSD) is a public school district in northwest Jefferson County, Arkansas, United States. The district employs approximately 400 faculty members and staff to provide educational programs for students ranging from kindergarten through twelve grade. It currently serves more than 3,000 students. All schools in the White Hall School District are accredited by AdvancED (North Central Association of Colleges and Schools). The district is headquartered in the Julius S. Brown Administration Building in White Hall. The district serves White Hall and a portion of Pine Bluff. It boundaries include the Jefferson County Industrial Park. In addition to White Hall and portions of Pine Bluff, the district also serves Redfield, and Jefferson.

The St. Louis Southwestern Railway (Cotton Belt Route) Caboose #2325 is a historic railroad caboose. It was built in 1920 by the St. Louis Southwestern Railway (aka the Cotton Belt) at its Pine Bluff, Arkansas shop, and is one of only a few surviving 2300-series cabooses. It was used by the railroad on its Paragould-Blytheville route and was acquired by the Paperton Junction Southern Railway in 1980 and restored.The caboose was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. At that time, it was located at the Paperton Junction Southern Railway rail yard in Pine Bluff.

Dollarway High School is a comprehensive public high school in northwest Pine Bluff, Arkansas that serves grades 9 through 12. It is one of three public high schools in Pine Bluff and is a part of the Pine Bluff School District effective July 1, 2021. Prior to that point it was the only high school managed by the Dollarway School District. Within the state, the school is often referred to as Pine Bluff Dollarway. It will close as of fall 2023.

Barbara A. Ester Unit is a correctional facility of the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC), located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It is scheduled to have a capacity of 580 prisoners, and it is the first prison in the ADC dedicated to the re-entry of prisoners into society. In addition to prisoners who are to be released within six months, it also houses prisoners who were incarcerated due to disobeying the rules of their parole. The prison's namesake is Barbara Ester, a prison guard holding the rank corporal at the East Arkansas Unit. She died on January 20, 2012, at the hands of a prisoner.

The Randall L. Williams Correctional Facility is a prison of the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) located in the "Pine Bluff Complex" in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The 576-bed facility sits on a 10-acre (4.0 ha) plot of land.The facility previously served as the Jefferson County Jail. Around 2008 the county opened the new W. C. "Dub" Brassel Adult Detention Facility and vacated the previous county jail. ADC purchased the former jail in 2008 and renamed it the Williams Correctional Facility in April of that year, after Randall L. Williams, a former state representative for Drew County and thereafter from 1970 to 1993 a Jefferson County circuit judge.Williams was the chairperson of the board of ADC from 1993 to 2000. ADC uses the facility as additional intake space, and after ADC acquired the facility, it moved the special management barracks, a unit for prisoners with counseling and mental health requirements, to Williams from the Cummins Unit.

Arkansas Correctional School District, also known as the Arkansas Correctional School (ACS), and previously the Arkansas Department of Correction School District (ADCSD), is the education system that serves the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) prisons and the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections (DCC) facilities. The district opened in 1973 when Act 279 was passed by the Arkansas General Assembly. The agency has its headquarters within the Pine Bluff Complex in Pine Bluff.Since the beginning of the 1997–98 school year, ADC inmates without a high school diploma who have not passed their GED high-school equivalency exam have been required to take ACS classes.

The Walter B. Sorrells Cottage is a historic administrative (and formerly residential) building on the campus of the Southeastern Arkansas Community Correction Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It is a two-story frame building, finished in brick on the first floor and stucco and half-timbering on the second, with Craftsman-style eaves adorned with exposed rafter ends and brackets. Built in 1920 to a design by Pine Bluff architect Mitchell Seligman, it was the first permanent structure of what was then known as the Boys Industrial School, a state facility for troubled youth.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Hestand Stadium is a 7,000-seat covered open-air stadium located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It is the site of the annual Southeast Arkansas District Fair and Rodeo. The stadium contains 33,480 square feet (3,110 m2) of field space. It is used for other outdoor events. It is the flagship facility of the Southeast Arkansas District fairgrounds, which also include five exhibit halls totaling 25,200 square feet (2,340 m2) and four barns totalling 23,800 square feet (2,210 m2) of space. It is also used for concerts, ice shows, circuses and other events.

Coleman High School was a public secondary school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas established in 1915. It served as a high school for black students until the public schools were integrated in 1971. It was a part of the Watson Chapel School District.

Townsend Park High School was a segregated, all-black high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, operated by the Dollarway School District. As a result of the lawsuit Dove v. Parham, it was eventually merged into Dollarway High School.

Simmons Bank Field is a 16,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Built at a cost of $14 million, it opened in 2000 and is home to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions football team. Originally called Golden Lion Stadium, it was renamed Simmons Bank Field after they gave a $2.5 million donation to the university to upgrade the football stadium in 2018.
