Lipe Art Park

Westside is a Syracuse, New York neighborhood, directly west of Downtown Syracuse. It corresponds to Onondaga County Census Tracts 21 and 22. It is made up of three parts, near West side, far west side and the West side Located between Interstate 690, and West Street, Syracuse’s Westside neighborhood consists of a mix of commercial, residential, and mostly-abandoned industrial units. The residential portion, centered on Park Avenue, is to the south of “Historic Automobile Row,” with its over twenty car dealerships. To the south of the neighborhood’s residences, is a former industrial section, still apparent, with its many, mostly-empty warehouses, and overgrown spur railroad tracks. Along Erie Boulevard, the southern boundary-road, much of the former industrial presence has been replaced with modern commercial office buildings. Leavenworth Park and Frazer Park are the two largest parks of the neighborhood. Its western portion has traditionally been a Polish neighborhood. Several families of Polish descent, even direct immigrants, still live in the neighborhood. The Polish Home, a banquet and bar facility on Park Avenue, serves as a major neighborhood meeting facility. While the neighborhood lacks pedestrian-friendly connections to its neighbors, the Lakefront, Near Westside, Far Westside, and downtown, it is served by three major bus corridors that pass along the north, south, and through the center of the neighborhood. The Westside of Syracuse is known for its large and continuously growing Hispanic population. This neighborhood is full of businesses that are owned by, and cater to, Spanish speaking clients. The C.G. Meaker Food Company Warehouse, Harriet May Mills House, St. Paul's Armenian Apostolic Church, Alton Simmons House, and West Brothers Knitting Company are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

St. Paul Armenian Apostolic Church is a parish of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Syracuse, New York USA established in 1908. In 1956 the church bought its current building on North Geddes Street from the Park Avenue Methodist Church. The structure was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on June 9, 2010.

The Alton Simmons House (also known as the Alton Simmons Residence) is a Ward Wellington Ward-designed home in Syracuse, New York.

C.G. Meaker Food Company Warehouse, in Syracuse, New York, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 2010. The building was deemed significant as an "excellent local example of an early Modern poured-in-place concrete building." It was planned during economic prosperity of the 1920s, but not completed until depression year 1930, in perhaps somewhat scaled-back form. It is located on Erie Boulevard, which into the 1920s was the route of the Erie Canal, and later was route of railroads.In May, 2016, a certified historic rehabilitation was completed. The building is now home to 33 residential apartments and first-floor commercial space.

The Harriet May Mills House or Harriet May Mills Residence is a historic home on the west side of Syracuse, New York. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. Extensive information on the restoration of the home and its former owners is archived on the now-defunct HarrietMayMills.org website. Charles de Berard Mills and Harriet Ann Mills were abolitionists. Harriet May Mills, their daughter, was active in women's rights. She co-founded a suffragette club, the Political Equality Club, in 1892, which grew rapidly. She was the first female to run for a major statewide office as a candidate of a major political party, running for New York State's Secretary of State in 1920.

The Central New York Business Journal is an American newspaper publisher serving Syracuse, New York and Central New York. It is published in print and digital and focuses on local business dealings in the central New York region. BizEventz is a sister company of the newspaper and offers business-to-business special events such as conferences, seminars, and trade shows.The company was founded in 1986 by Norm Poltenson. It was sold in March 2014, to his daughter, Marny Nesher, who has since served as the president.The Central New York Business Journal is not affiliated with The Business Journals, which does not have a market presence in the Syracuse area.

La Casita Cultural Center is a cultural center affiliated with Syracuse University. Located in the Near Westside neighborhood of Syracuse, New York, the center focuses on programs and research that highlight the experiences of Latino communities in Central New York.

O.M. Edwards Building is located at the intersection of Plum and Solar Streets in Syracuse, New York. It is a representative example of an early twentieth century manufacturing plant. It was designed by Gordon Wright, and built in 1906. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Wunderbar was a queer bar and theater situated in downtown Syracuse that provided a safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community in the surrounding area. Tanner Efinger, the owner of Wunderbar, fostered this space by presenting a multitude of programming representing individual queer communities and being able to cater to the various wants and needs of the queer community in Syracuse.

Trinity Episcopal Church, now known as the Faith by Love Church, is a historic Episcopal church located in the Southwest / Near Westside neighborhood of Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York. The church was built in 1914–1915, and is a one-story, Collegiate Gothic style stone building. It has a steeply pitched front gable slate roof and a massive square tower with corner buttresses. Also on the property is the contributing Parish House. It is a two-story, Second Empire style frame dwelling with a mansard roof. The Jaynes Memorial Hall was added to the rear of the Parish House in 1926. The congregation was established in 1855, and remained at the location until 1994.: 4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.The Trinity Church, Leyfield Parish House and William J. Gillett House were listed as sold in December 2017, for $185,000.

St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church is a parish of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church located in Syracuse, New York, at the corner of Tompkins Street and Wilbur Avenue. Constructed in 1913, it was the first Eastern Catholic church in the city.In recent years, local business owner, Peter Coleman, resurrected the idea within the local Ukrainian community of erecting a statue of the Ukrainian Bard Taras Shevchenko in front of the church. A committee consisting of Ukrainian-Americans was formed to undertake the task of designing and erecting the monument to Taras Shevchenko. The local Ukrainian community along with several neighbors in Tipperary Hill section of Syracuse raised the necessary funds for the monument. The monument to Taras Shevchenko was dedicated in the autumn of 2005. Attending the dedication and unveiling ceremony were Syracuse Mayor Matt Driscoll, the Consulate General of Ukraine, New York State representatives and a multitude of Ukrainian-Americans. Following the unveiling ceremony, a commemorative concert was held at the Syracuse Ukrainian National Home.
