Cantlop Bridge is a single span cast-iron road bridge over the Cound Brook, located to the north of Cantlop in the parish of Berrington, Shropshire. It was constructed in 1818 to a design possibly by Thomas Telford, having at least been approved by him, and replaced an unsuccessful cast iron coach bridge constructed in 1812. The design of the bridge was innovative for the period, using a light-weight design of cast-iron lattice ribs to support the road deck in a single span, and appears to be a scaled-down version of a Thomas Telford bridge at Meole Brace, Shropshire. The bridge is the only surviving Telford-approved cast-iron bridge in Shropshire, and is a Grade II* listed building and scheduled monument. It originally carried the turnpike road from Shrewsbury to Acton Burnell.

Bomere Pool is a large mere lying between the villages of Bayston Hill and Condover in the county of Shropshire, England, 4.7 miles (7.6 kilometres) south of the county town of Shrewsbury. The pool is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest as the most oligotrophic (nutrient poor) body of water on the Shropshire - Cheshire plain.Once open to the public, Bomere Pool and the surrounding woodlands are now privately owned and operate a centre of towed water sports throughout the year. A public right of way runs close to the Northern Shore for much of its length. There is a small resident population housed in a number of flats.

Cantlop is a small village in the English county of Shropshire. It is part of the civil parish of Berrington. Nearby villages include Condover, to the west of Cantlop, and the village of Berrington to the north-west, on the other side of the Cound Brook which flows to the north of Cantlop, and Pitchford to the south. The area is largely agricultural. The elevation at Cantlop Cross is 96 metres (315 ft) above sea level.

Betton Strange is a hamlet in the English county of Shropshire. It is only 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Shrewsbury town centre, situated in countryside just beyond the Shrewsbury bypass (the A5) and near the A458. It is located in the civil parish of Berrington, a village 2 miles (3.2 km) to the south. The hamlet lies at an elevation of between 65 metres (213 ft) and 85 metres (279 ft). Further west is the large stone quarry at Sharpstone Hill.Regional Cycle Route 32/33 runs through, on its way from Shrewsbury to Condover. The Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth railway line once ran to the east of the hamlet, but is now dismantled. The postcode is SY5.

Berrington is a small village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. According to the 2001 census the village had a population of 30, though the parish, which also includes the larger village of Cross Houses and other settlements such as Betton Strange and Cantlop, had a population of 805 in total.The village is about five miles SE of Shrewsbury. The local newsletter, The Village Pump, is distributed bi-monthly. There is a phone box and a village hall. A notable feature in the parish, but not the village itself, is Cantlop Bridge. The village primary school closed in 1994 and has since been converted into a private residence. A damaged wooden effigy in the parish church (All Saints) is known locally as 'Old Scriven'. It is said that he once fought a lion, hence his damaged face. Berrington Manor is a Grade II* listed 17th century timber-framed house, located opposite All Saints church.

All Saints Church is in the village of Berrington, Shropshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Condover, the archdeaconry of Ludlow, and the diocese of Hereford. Its benefice is united with those of twelve other parishes to form the Wenlock Team of Parishes. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

The Shrewsbury Business Park is a commercial development on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, Shropshire (at Emstrey). Construction commenced in late 2001 on the 30-acre (120,000 m2), £25 million site, and is still ongoing. Almost 200,000-square-foot (19,000 m2) of business premises have been delivered, largely attributed to Phase One of the scheme. Over 1,000 people are based there.The idea was first promoted by local developer the Alaska Group, which entered into a partnership with Shropshire County Council. Mainly offices, the business park includes a Holiday Inn Express Hotel and a children's daycare centre. Plans exist for a cafe retail unit at the heart of the development. Alaska Group was founded in London in 1994 in a former fur factory known as the Alaska Works, where skins were imported from Alaska. The company has no other connection with Alaska, however it gave the Park several place names from that State. The main route through the Park, Sitka Drive, is named after the State tree of Alaska. Other names include Anchorage Avenue, Mt McKinley Building, Bering House and Juneau House. Located around 3 miles (5 km) south east of the town centre of Shrewsbury, Shropshire's county town, the business park lies on the junction of the A5 bypass and the B4380, near to Emstrey. The park's appeal is partly thanks to excellent transport links via the nearby M54 motorway to Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham, while being near to a fine medieval town and beautiful countryside. Other business park developments in and around the town include the Oxon Business Park to the West of the town centre and the Battlefield Enterprise Park to the North, and Abbey Lawn next to Shrewsbury Abbey, just across the Severn from the town centre.

Berrington railway station was a railway station on the Severn Valley line serving the village of Berrington, Shropshire. It opened in 1862 with a single platform and a siding. By 1894 it had acquired an additional platform along with a signal box and the sidings had been expanded. Despite the name it was actually closer to the neighbouring village of Cross Houses. Although thought by some people to have been closed as part of the Beeching axe in 1963 its planned closure pre-dated his report. The station and its buildings now house a private dwelling.

Condover Hall is an elegant Grade I listed three-storey Elizabethan sandstone building, described as the grandest manor house in Shropshire, standing in a conservation area on the outskirts of Condover village, Shropshire, England, four miles south of the county town of Shrewsbury. A Royal manor in Anglo Saxon times, until the 16th century Condover Manor was in and out of Crown Tenure. In 1586 it was purchased by Thomas Owen, a Member of Parliament for and Recorder of Shrewsbury, from the family of the previous owner, Henry Vynar, a London merchant who had died in 1585. Owen had had a lease of the manor from 1578, and been in lawsuit with the family.For over sixty years from 1946 the Hall was run as a residential school, initially for blind children when owned by the RNIB and latterly under private ownership as a school for autistic children, covering boy boarders and coeducational day pupils. The school and college both closed during 2009.

Cronkhill, Atcham, Shropshire, designed by John Nash, is "the earliest Italianate villa in England".Drawing on influences from the Italian Campagna and the Picturesque, including the art of Claude Lorrain, it began an architectural style that was hugely influential in England in the first half of the nineteenth century. Major examples include Trentham Park and Osborne House. Nash's "most original building", it is Grade I listed.

Emstrey is a dispersed hamlet on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, in the English county of Shropshire. The hamlet is located south-east of the town, on the B4380 road to Atcham. At the west end of the hamlet, on London Road, is the Emstrey Crematorium and Cemetery, now run by Dignity plc. The crematorium, originally built and owned by Shrewsbury Borough Council, was opened in 1958, the first such facility in Shropshire. There is a large traffic island, Emstrey Roundabout, where the A5 Shrewsbury by-pass crosses with London Road (the A5064) into Shrewsbury, the Emstrey Bank road (the B4380) to Atcham and Ironbridge, and the former Shrewsbury bypass (also the B4380) towards Meole Brace. Shrewsbury Business Park is located off Thieves Lane (the B4380). It contains a number of modern business units, predominantly professional firms such as lawyers and accountants.
