Barker railway station was the only intermediate station on the Kew railway line in Melbourne, Australia. It was opened on 19 December 1887 and closed with the line on 13 May 1957. The station was located between Barkers Road and Hawthorn Grove and has since been demolished.

The school was founded at a meeting of several high-ranking church figures on 14 November 1902. It opened in 1903, operating out of the Holy Trinity Church. Ruyton Girls' School, commonly referred to simply as Ruyton, is a non-denominational and independent day school for girls, located on Selbourne Road, Kew, an inner-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Ruyton was established in 1878 by its first principal, Charlotte Anderson, who named it in honour of the parish in Shropshire, England, Ruyton-XI-Towns, where her great-great-grandfather David Evans had been vicar. Its motto is Recte et Fideliter, meaning "Upright and Faithful", which is also the name of the school song. Ruyton caters for approximately 850 students from three-year-old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep, to Year 12, with boys being enrolled in Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. In 2008, Ruyton was ranked second in the state of Victoria based on its VCE results, with 40% of study scores over 40. Kew (;) is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km east from Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Boroondara local government area. Kew recorded a population of 24,499 at the 2021 census.Formerly a city in its own right from 1860 to 1994, the Kew, along with the cities of Hawthorn and Camberwell were amalgamated to form the City of Boroondara. The Evangelical Theological Association (ETA) was a cooperative partnership established in 1975 between the Churches of Christ Theological College and Whitley College. It was accredited as an associated teaching institute of the Melbourne College of Divinity. The ETA taught undergraduate and postgraduate theology courses, for degrees awarded by the Melbourne College of Divinity. It was disbanded in 2005 when both the constituent colleges became independent Registered Teaching Institutions of the MCD.

The University of Divinity is an Australian collegiate university of specialisation in divinity. It is constituted by eleven theological colleges from eight denominations. The University of Divinity is the direct successor of the second oldest degree-granting authority in the State of Victoria, the Melbourne College of Divinity. The university's chancery and administration are located in Kew, a suburb of Melbourne in the state of Victoria. The Melbourne College of Divinity was constituted in 1910 by an act of the Parliament of Victoria. The act was amended in 1956, 1972, 1979, 1990, 2005 and 2016 and is now known as the University of Divinity Act 1910 (previously the Melbourne College of Divinity Act 1910). From its beginnings the college was a self-accrediting issuer of degrees, while not becoming a university until 2011. Representatives appointed by several churches formed the college to provide tertiary level theological education. The first president was the Right Reverend Henry Lowther Clarke, Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne, and the first registrar was the Reverend John Mathew, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria.In 2010, the Melbourne College of Divinity applied to the Victorian Regulation and Qualifications Authority for approval to operate as a self-accrediting "Australian University of Specialisation" (a category of higher education provider). The Victorian government announced on 30 August 2011 that the application had been approved and on 1 January 2012 the college began operating as a university. Peter Sherlock was appointed the inaugural vice-chancellor in April 2012. In May 2019 TEQSA extended the seven-year licence to operate as a university for an additional three years to the maximum possible of ten years before a review. In the 2019 Student Experience Survey, the University of Divinity recorded the highest student satisfaction rating out of every Australian university, with an overall satisfaction rating of 92.8.

Glenferrie Oval is an Australian rules football stadium located in Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.It is the historic home of, and is synonymous with, the Hawthorn Football Club, who played there from 1903 and as a VFL/AFL club from 1925–1973, and retained the ground as an administrative and training base until 2006. Hawthorn moved to a redeveloped Waverley Park early in 2006 in preparation for the 2006 AFL season.

d'Estaville, also spelled D'Estaville, is a large bluestone Italianate-style heritage-listed house located at 7 Barry Street in the Melbourne suburb of Kew, Victoria, Australia. Designed by architects Knight & Kerr for politician and long term Chief Justice of Victoria, Sir William Foster Stawell, d’Estaville was completed in 1859. d’Estaville is a fine and unusual example of the Italianate style, and the only residential work of Knight & Kerr, designers of the Victorian Parliament House.In 1888, with failing health, Stawell subdivided and sold land from the 13-hectare (32-acre) property then known as the d'Estaville Estate along Princess Street, and a land company subdivided the remainder of the estate, which failed to sell, so the house and the steeply sloping land to the river stayed with the family until subdivided and sold in 1904.

Glenferrie railway station is located on the Lilydale, Belgrave and Alamein lines in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn, and it opened on 3 April 1882 as Glenferrie Road. It was renamed Glenferrie on 1 September 1882.In 1963, a third line was provided between Hawthorn and Camberwell. These works included a new Up platform (Platform 1), with Platform 2 becoming a bi-directional platform.It was upgraded to a Premium Station on 26 February 1996.The station complex is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
