Sheraton Hamilton

The Art Gallery of Hamilton (AGH) is an art museum located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The museum occupies a 7,000 square metres (75,000 sq ft) building on King Street West in downtown Hamilton, designed by Trevor P. Garwood-Jones. The institution is southwestern Ontario's largest and oldest art museum. The museum was established as the Municipal Gallery of Hamilton in January 1914, and was opened to the public in June 1914, at a Hamilton Public Library building on Main Street West. The museum continued to operate from that location until 1953, when the museum relocated to a new building in the neighbourhood of Westdale. In 1977, the museum moved to its present King Street West location. The museum building was renovated with designs by Bruce Kuwabara from 2003 to 2005. The Art Gallery of Hamilton's permanent collection has over 10,000 works by artists from Canada, and around the world. In addition to exhibiting works from its collection, the museum has also organized, and hosted a number of travelling exhibitions.

The Robert Thomson Building is a 9-storey low-rise office building in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The building was completed in 1977, and is part of the Lloyd D. Jackson Square complex. The building is still officially known as the Robert Thomson Building, but some signage refers to the building by its address, 110 King Street West.

120 King Street West is a 14-storey high-rise office building in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The 62 metre building was completed in 1983, and is part of the Lloyd D. Jackson Square complex. The building was originally named the Standard Life Centre, after the Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada, one of the companies responsible for the development of the Jackson Square complex.

The Hamilton Convention Centre is a full service convention, exhibition, and event facility located in downtown Hamilton, Ontario. The convention centre was designed by local architect Trevor P. Garwood-Jones and was constructed in 1981 along with the connected Ellen Fairclough Building as part of a large urban renewal project that was occurring in the Hamilton downtown core at the time. In 2013, Carmen's Group acquired the rights to operate the Hamilton Convention Centre, and the facility underwent over $1 million in renovations.The Hamilton Convention Centre/Ellen Fairclough Building, at 94 m (308 ft) tall, is currently the 5th tallest building in Hamilton, Ontario, and is directly connected to FirstOntario Concert Hall, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Lloyd D. Jackson Square, and the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel.

Ellen Fairclough Building (French: Édifice Ellen-Fairclough) is an 18-storey (94 m) high-rise office building built in 1981. It is the 5th tallest building in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is situated on the corner of King Street West and MacNab Street South, and is primarily used to house provincial government offices. The building was first known as the Convention Centre when it first opened up in 1981. One year later in 1982, it was renamed the Ellen Fairclough Building. Ellen Fairclough was a Hamiltonian and the first female member of the Canadian Cabinet. Ellen Fairclough served under John Diefenbaker for 13 years in Parliament. She advocated for gender equality and fairer immigration policy. She died at 99 in 2004.The Hamilton Convention Centre occupies the first 3 floors of this office tower (with the exception of the Ellen Fairclough Building's lobby and the shared loading dock, both located on the ground floor), and it is attached to the Art Gallery of Hamilton and FirstOntario Concert Hall. There is also an enclosed pedestrian bridge that crosses over King Street and attaches to the Lloyd D. Jackson Square mall and the Sheraton Hamilton hotel. The government building is also home to a courthouse and a citizenship & immigration office.

FirstOntario Centre (originally Copps Coliseum) is a sports and entertainment arena at the corner of Bay Street North and York Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1985, it has a capacity of up to 19,000.

FirstOntario Concert Hall is a music and performing arts venue in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The venue was originally known as Hamilton Place, and in 1998, became known as the Ronald V. Joyce Centre for the Performing Arts at Hamilton Place after receiving a donation from the Joyce Family Foundation. In 2016 FirstOntario Credit Union made a $2.5 million deal naming for the naming rights.The venue is the permanent home of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Hamilton.

100 King Street West, formerly known as Stelco Tower, is the third tallest building in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The 103 metres (338 ft), 25-storey office skyscraper was completed in 1972, and is part of the larger Lloyd D. Jackson Square complex.

Race Hamilton, also known as the Labatt's Hamilton Championship, was a 1978 auto race held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada featuring a round of the Formula Atlantic Labatt Championship Series. The event featured future driving stars Bobby Rahal, Keke Rosberg and Danny Sullivan competing for $10,000 in first-place prize money.The race took place on August 7 on a 2.092 km (1.30 miles), 10 turn temporary street circuit in downtown Hamilton with the start/finish line located between the Hamilton City Hall and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.The race attracted an estimated 60,000 fans, half of those watched for free from the roofs of surrounding buildings and by breaking down barriers. After a five-hour delay due to insurance issues with the safety barriers around the course, only 39 of the scheduled 73 laps took place due to darkness. Only 16 of the 29 cars entered, completed the race.

The Hamilton Farmers' Market was founded in 1837 is located within a large multi-faceted complex in downtown Hamilton, Ontario called Lloyd D. Jackson Square on the corner of James Street & York Boulevard. It is an indoor market known well by locals for its variety of foods and products, produced both locally and from around the world. In 2007 a proposal of $5.1-million for renovation was made.
