In early March 2013 over 16,000 dead pigs were found in the Shanghai Songjiang section of the Huangpu River, which supplies the city of Shanghai, China with some of its drinking water. The pigs were dumped by farmers in neighbouring Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, a major pig farming area that is upstream of Shanghai. The BBC reported that some pig corpses were infected by porcine circovirus, in line with comments from Lu Hongzhou, Secretary of the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center's Party committee.

The Songjiang Tang Sutra Building, also known as Songjiang Tang Dynasty Dharana Sutra Stone Building, is located in the Zhongshan Primary School, Songjiang District, Shanghai, People's Republic of China, the oldest surviving above-ground relic in Shanghai, built in 859 AD. Since then, it has tilted due to age and weathering, and was restored in 1963. On January 13, 1988, it was announced as a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Zuibaichi (Chinese: 醉白池; pinyin: Zuì Bái Chí; lit. 'Drunken Bai Pond') is a Chinese garden in Shanghai's suburban Songjiang District that dates back to the Song Dynasty. It occupies an area of 5 hectares and is one of the five ancient Chinese gardens in Shanghai, along the Guyi Garden, the Yu Garden, the Garden of Autumn Vapors, and the Garden of Zigzag Stream.

The Songjiang Mosque (Chinese: 松江清真寺; pinyin: Sōngjiāng Qīngzhēnsì), formerly called the Real Religion Mosque, is a mosque in Songjiang District, Shanghai, China. It is the oldest mosque in Shanghai.

Zuibaichi Park (Chinese: 醉白池; pinyin: Zuìbáichí) is a station on Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro, close to Songjiang North railway station. It began operation on December 30, 2012. It is named after the nearby garden of Zuibaichi.

Xilin Chan Temple (simplified Chinese: 西林禅寺; traditional Chinese: 西林禪寺; pinyin: Xilin Chan Sì) is a Buddhist temple located in Yueyang Subdistrict, Songjiang District of Shanghai. The modern temple was built between 1986 and 2003.

The Songjiang Square Pagoda or Songjiang Fangta, officially the Xingshengjiao Temple Pagoda, is a Buddhist pagoda in the old town of Songjiang in suburban Shanghai. Originally built in the 11th century, it is the only structure remaining from the Xingshengjiao Temple, and is now enclosed in the Fangta Park. The 9-story pagoda is 48.5 meters (159 ft) tall, and it has become Songjiang's most famous landmark.

Songjiang Sports Center (simplified Chinese: 松江体育中心; traditional Chinese: 松江體育中心; pinyin: Sōngjiāng Tǐyù Zhōngxīn) is a station on Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro. The station is designed to serve the future Songjiang Sports Center. It began operation on 30 December 2012.

Shanghai Songjiang Railway Station (Chinese: 上海松江站; pinyin: Shànghǎi Sōngjiāngzhàn) is a metro station on Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro, and also serves as the line's southern terminus. It began operation on 30 December 2012. It is adjacent to Shanghai Songjiang railway station. Formerly Songjiang South Railway Station (Chinese: 松江南站; pinyin: Sōngjiāng Nánzhàn), it was renamed to the current name in September 2024.

Shanghai Songjiang railway station (Chinese: 上海松江站; pinyin: Shànghǎi Sōngjiāng Zhàn, formerly Songjiang South railway station) is a railway station on the Shanghai–Hangzhou high-speed railway and Shanghai–Suzhou–Huzhou high-speed railway located in Songjiang District, Shanghai, China. It is the terminus of many conventional-speed trains on the Shanghai–Hangzhou portion of the Shanghai–Kunming railway. With the construction of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway in Songjiang District, Shanghai, the scale of the high-speed rail is expanded from 2 platforms and 4 tracks to 9 platforms and 23 tracks, second only to Shanghai Hongqiao railway station (30 platforms and 16 tracks) and the under construction Shanghai East railway station (14 platforms and 30 tracks), the third largest high-speed railway station in Shanghai. The scale of the Shanghai Songjiang railway station building will be approximately 60,000 square meters on the line, and it is predicted that the passenger flow in the future will be about 20 million or more per year. Songjiang Xincheng (Chinese: 松江新城; pinyin: Sōngjiāng Xīnchéng) is a station of Shanghai Metro Line 9. It began operation on December 29, 2007. It served as the terminus of the line until the extension to Songjiang South Railway Station opened on December 30, 2012.

The Dacang Bridge (simplified Chinese: 大仓桥; traditional Chinese: 大倉橋; pinyin: Dàcāng Qiáo) is a historic stone arch bridge over the Old City River in Songjiang District of Shanghai, China.
