Tennessee Governor's Mansion

Conservation Hall was part of a renovation of the Tennessee Governor's Mansion. It is a 14,000-square-foot (1,300 m2) subterranean meeting and banqueting facility built under the front lawn of the Tennessee Residence. It brings the Tennessee Residence up to modern standards for State receptions and dinners with its ability to seat up to 160 people. The centerpiece of Conservation Hall is the glass-walled oval atrium and courtyard that opens to the sky. The renovation project was spearheaded by Tennessee First Lady Andrea Conte. Her goals for the project were threefold: To better manage official functions at the Tennessee Residence, to protect the historical integrity of the property and the surrounding neighborhood, and to encourage energy-efficient operation and minimal environmental impact. The Memphis architecture firm, archimania, won the architectural design competition because of their experience in sustainable design, as well as their unusual idea to hide the new construction underneath the front lawn, rather than compete with the existing residence. The Residence has been awarded LEED certification from the Green Building Certification Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council. The state plans to seek LEED certification for Conservation Hall in a separate application.

Franklin Road Academy (FRA) is a private co-educational Christian school for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 located in Oak Hill, Tennessee. The school was founded in 1971 and originally affiliated with the First Christian Church before it became a separate incorporated organization in 1982. FRA has been described as a segregation academy, like other schools established after a court ordered Nashville public schools to expand desegregation busing.As of 2019, its head of school is Sean Casey and its head of upper school is Jay Salato. In 2016, FRA's enrollment was 795 students with ethnic and racial minority students comprising 18 percent of the student body. As of 2021, the school's enrollment had increased to 925 students. Its enrollment increased to 1,040 students in 2022. FRA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Southern Association of Independent Schools and AdvancED.

Father Ryan High School is a private Catholic coeducational high school in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 1925 as Nashville Catholic High School for Boys, Father Ryan is located in the Diocese of Nashville. It was the first racially integrated high school in Tennessee.

John Overton High School (commonly Overton, John Overton, Johnny O or JOHS) is a public high school located in Oak Hill, Tennessee. It is named after prominent Judge John Overton (1766–1833), advisor to President Andrew Jackson. The school opened in September 1958 and was renovated and expanded in 1995. The school most recently underwent a US$30,000,000.00 renovation, approved for FY 2015–2016, which strategically expanded school classrooms and other spaces. The school has won 14 state championships.

The lane was a strategic location in the Battle of Nashville, during the American Civil War. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 17, 1980.
