O'Brien's Bridge

Montpelier (Irish: Montpelier) is a village and a townland in east County Limerick, Ireland, on the east bank of the River Shannon. It is connected to O'Briensbridge across the river in County Clare by a 14-arch stone bridge. The first bridge across the river here was built in 1506 by Turlough O'Brien, First Earl of Thomond and his brother, the Bishop of Killaloe. This 16th-century bridge was in turn replaced or rebuilt c. 1750. The five arches on the west side of the bridge date from this period. The six arches on the east side were replaced by the Shannon Commissioners in 1842. The first arch on the west side was replaced by the present navigation arch when the Shannon Scheme was built downstream in 1925–29.The ancient river-crossing here is believed to be identical with Áth Caille (meaning "Ford of the Wood"): one of the three fords mentioned in the Triads of Ireland, the others being Áth Clíath (Dublin) and Áth Lúain (Athlone).

O'Briensbridge-Montpelier is a census town in Ireland, comprising the villages of O'Briensbridge in County Clare and Montpelier in County Limerick which face each other across the River Shannon. The combined census town had a population of 396 at the 2016 census.

Bridgetown (Irish: Baile an Droichid) is a small village in eastern County Clare, Ireland. It is located near Killaloe and has a National School. St. Thomas Church was originally built in 1832 and was mostly rebuilt during the renovations in 1970.

It is on the Limerick–Ballybrophy railway line and is also served by a skeleton service on the Limerick to Nenagh Commuter Service. It is unstaffed and has a small car park

Daly's Cross (Irish: Crosaire Uí Dhalaigh) is a small settlement in County Limerick, Ireland, about 12 km (7 mi) east of Limerick city, at the junction of the R445 and R525 roads. The village was bypassed in September 2010 by the M7. Previously, Daly's Cross had been considered a dangerous junction and was heavily trafficked as the R445 formed part of the old N7 Dublin to Limerick primary route.

Birdhill railway station serves the town of Birdhill in County Tipperary, Ireland. The station opened on 23 July 1860 as an extension from Castleconnell by the Limerick and Castleconnell Railway. The line was extended to Killaloe on 12 April 1862 and became a junction when the line was further extended from Birdill to Nenagh on 1st June 1864 by the Great Southern & Western Railway creating a through route to Limerick via Ballybrophy. The line to Killaloe lost its passenger services on 17th July 1931 and goods traffics suspended on 29th April 1944 as a Emergency measure by the Great Southern Railways. It is on the Limerick–Ballybrophy railway line and is also served by a skeleton service on the Limerick to Nenagh Commuter Service.

Clonlara is a Catholic parish in County Clare in Ireland. It is part of the Scáth na Sionnaine grouping of parishes within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The parish is an amalgamation of the medieval parish Kiltenanlea (also known as Doonass) and parts of the parishes of Truagh and Kilseily.

Ahane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Ahane, Castleconnell and Montpelier areas of east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and football and historically is regarded as one of the great clubs of Limerick. Some other class players were the Mackey brothers, Mick and John and Jackie Power among others. In their day, they defeated all-comers in Limerick and in the adjoining counties of Tipperary and Cork whose clubs they successfully challenged in many church tournaments during their greatest period of domination. A few of the Ahane players won the All-Ireland Senior hurling championship in 1934, 1936 and 1940 with Limerick, their leader being the peerless Mick Mackey, regarded as one of Ireland's greatest hurlers of all time. They won 15 Limerick Senior Hurling Championships in the 1930s and 1940s and also won 5 Limerick Senior Football Championships during this era. Their fans can often be heard to use the famous cheer "Come on Ahane the spuds are boiling"
