The Iloilo River Esplanade is a 9.035-kilometre-long (5.614 mi) esplanade and linear park along the Iloilo River in Iloilo City, Philippines. It stretches on both sides of the river, from Carpenter's Bridge in Mandurriao and Molo districts to Muelle Loney (Drilon) Bridge in the City Proper and Lapuz districts. It is the longest linear park in the Philippines and was designed by landscape architect and PGAA Creative Design founder Paulo Alcazaren. The project is part of the Iloilo River Rehabilitation Project. The esplanade has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iloilo since its opening on August 18, 2012, attracting thousands to millions of visitors each year from all over the country and the world. In 2018, the linear park was cited as a "Haligi ng Dangal" awardee for the Landscape Architecture category by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) through the National Committee on Architecture and the Allied Arts. The Iloilo River Esplanade is considered one of the locations in the country that are most frequently posted on social media.

Ateneo de Iloilo began in 1958 as a parochial school named Santa Maria Catholic School. In 2004, the school was officially recognized as a Jesuit school separate from the Santa Maria Parish and was renamed Ateneo de Iloilo - Santa Maria Catholic School. It is the eighth Jesuit school in the Philippines to be named Ateneo. Ateneo de Iloilo is a K-12 school and its curriculum includes Chinese language, Christian Living Education, and Ignatian Spirituality programs. It is known for its excellence in the fields of academics and values formation. The Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business has a satellite school in Iloilo. It is located in Ateneo de Iloilo's San Rafael Campus. The presence of this graduate school is a trial balloon of Ateneo de Iloilo's plan to become a higher education institution in the future and to eventually become a university.

Jaro Cathedral, formally known as Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Candles (Spanish: Santuario Nacional de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria), is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jaro. It is located in the district of Jaro in Iloilo City, Iloilo, on the island of Panay in the Philippines. It was placed under the patronage of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary.The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines formally declared the cathedral the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Candles (Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria) in February 2012. The cathedral is the second national shrine in the Visayas and Mindanao, the first being the Basilica del Santo Niño in Cebu. Likewise, it is also the second Marian dedicated declared "National Shrine" church or cathedral in Visayas and Mindanao (first National Shrine in Western Visayas).The statue of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (Candelaria) perched atop the façade of the cathedral, is the first Marian image canonically crowned personal by a Pope and Saint (John Paul II) in the Philippines and Asia. Also, through the said canonical crowning, the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria has been declared as the official Roman Catholic patron of Western Visayas and Romblon

The Jaro Evangelical Church is a Baptist church in Jaro, Philippines, affiliated with the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches. Founded on February 28, 1900 when the Philippines was opened to the Protestant American missions by the Swedish Baptist minister Eric Lund under the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society, it is the "first Baptist church in the Philippines" and the first Protestant church outside Manila. Jaro Evangelical Church's inception from the beginning is catalyst to the foundation (which it shares a strong association with) of Central Philippine University, the first Baptist and second American university in the Philippines and in Asia, an institution of higher learning founded through the benevolent grant of an American industrialist and philanthropist, John D. Rockefeller in 1905.

Injap Tower Hotel is a 21-storey residential building and hotel located in Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue, Mandurriao, Iloilo City beside SM City Iloilo. Since its completion in 2013, it has been the tallest building in Iloilo City until 2018, when it was dethroned by the nearby 18-storey high-rise twin tower, SM Strata Tower 1, which is just 9 meters taller. Injap Tower was also the tallest building in the Western Visayas region for the same years. It is the region's tallest hotel, and currently the third tallest building in Iloilo.The Horizon Café, a restaurant is situated on the top floor of the Injap Tower. The hotel also hosts a spa dubbed as the "Spa Circle".

SM City Iloilo is a large shopping mall in the Philippines, owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings. It is the 8th SM Supermall built by Henry Sy Sr. It is located along Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue (formerly Jaro West Diversion Road) in the district of Mandurriao in Iloilo City. It has a land area of 170,000 m2 (1,800,000 sq ft) and a total gross floor area of 181,657 m2 (1,955,340 sq ft).

Iloilo City Proper (City Proper) (also locally known as Downtown, Ciudad, Iloilo Poblacion, or simply Iloílo) is one of the seven districts of Iloilo City in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is the second-most densely populated district, after Molo. The City Proper has a population of 46,350 residents as of the 2020 census. It is known as the heart of Iloilo, as it is the seat of the city and provincial government, as well as other local, provincial, and regional government offices. The district is also home to the majority of the city's financial institutions, where banks and other firms can be found on every corner of the streets. Iloilo City Proper is the current economic and financial center of Iloilo. The City Proper received its present name from the province's original Irong-Irong reference. Iloilo Business Park, also known just as Megaworld among the locals (after the developer's name), is a 72-hectare (180-acre) mixed-use master-planned community development in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, Philippines by Megaworld Corporation. It is located on the site of Iloilo's former airport, Mandurriao Airport, which the conglomerate acquired for 1.2 Billion Pesos from the Philippine national government. Megaworld is projected to pour in ₱25 Billion for the entire development in a span of years. It is an integrated township project featuring a commercial district, a lifestyle mall, office buildings catering to business process outsourcing firms, boutique and deluxe hotels, and a convention center.Initial development includes construction of a road network, the 12-storey Richmonde Hotel Iloilo and Richmonde Tower, Festive Walk, Two Business Process Outsourcing office buildings. The IT complex has been certified as an information technology park by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), granting locators perks such as tax holidays and duty-free importation of equipment among others.Megaworld is setting aside a 9.7-hectare lot for the boutique hotel and commercial district which is being offered to interested business owners.Iloilo Business Park increased by an additional 18 hectares, bringing the project to roughly 72 hectares from its initial 54.5 hectare-size. This is due to the increasing demand for residential and commercial properties and good reception to Megaworld's first development in the region and biggest township in the Visayas, modeled after the live-work-play approach that it claims to have pioneered in the Philippines.

Assumption Iloilo (also known as AC or Assumption Convent) is a private Catholic coeducational basic education institution run by the Sisters of the Religious of the Assumption in Iloilo City, Philippines. It was founded by the Assumption Sisters in 1910. It offers preschool, grade school, and high school education for males and females.

Iloilo Sports Complex, also known as the Iloilo Sports Center is a multi-use sports complex in La Paz, Iloilo City, Philippines and is the venue of athletic events in Iloilo province and Western Visayas and occasionally hosts large gatherings such as concerts. Its main stadium, the Main Stadium, has a seating capacity of 7,000.Iloilo Sports Complex includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, an oval running track, a football field, two volleyball courts, two basketball courts, two tennis courts and four badminton courts. An indoor gymnasium is located 200 meters away from the main site.The athletics track underwent repair in 2014 which costed ₱100 thousand though it had to be rehabilitated again due to the number of sporting events hosted by the venue. The sports venue had to be closed in October 2015 for renovation works. The ₱18 million rehabilitation was completed in December 2015. The athletics track was rubberized and had its lanes painted. The football field also had its grass switched to another type of Bermuda grass.It hosts the home matches of Iloilo F.A. football team. In February 2018, Kaya Futbol Club adopted the Iloilo Sports Complex as their home venue. Liga Futbol Inc., the organization that manages the Philippines Football League approved the usage of the field for league matches by Kaya on April 20, 2018. The club is set to play their first home league match against Global Cebu on May 2.
