Höganäs

Höganäs Municipality (Höganäs kommun) is one of 290 municipalities of Sweden, in Skåne County in the southern part of the country. Its seat is located in the city of Höganäs. The rural municipality Höganäs, in which the first municipalsamhälle (a kind of borough managing matters of urban character) of Sweden had been established in 1875, received the title of a city in 1936. In 1967 it was merged with Väsby. The present municipality was created with the reform in 1971 when the city was amalgamated with Brunnby and Jonstorp.

Viken is situated in Höganäs Municipality in Skåne County, Sweden with 4,227 inhabitants in 2010. It has a surface area of 224 hectares. 223 of these are in the Höganäs municipality. Well known for its harbour, the village has a long history of seafaring and fishing. It is also known for the distinctive, mostly yellow, seaside cabins lining its vast public beach. Viken is known to have been the home of billionaire Carl-Eric Björkegren, who disappeared without a trace in 1994. Theories vary in terms of what happened. In 2005, he was declared dead by the Stockholm District Court. Rune Andréasson, the creator of the Swedish comic character Bamse, lived and died in Viken.

Ingelsträde is a locality situated in Höganäs Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 241 inhabitants in 2010.

Brunnby Church (Swedish: Brunnby kyrka) is a medieval Lutheran church about 9 km (5.6 mi) north of Höganäs in southern Sweden. It belongs to the Diocese of Lund. The church is noted for its many 15th-century murals, attributed to the Helsingborg Workshop.

Arild (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɑ̂ːrɪld]) is a locality situated in Höganäs Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 522 inhabitants in 2010. It is located in the bay of Skälderviken in north-western Scania, approximately 30 km north of Helsingborg in Sweden. Arild belongs to Brunnby parish with its seat in Brunnby. The parish is represented in Arild by Arilds Chapel. The village was mostly concentrated around the chapel and the shoreline but has come to extend uphill towards Kullaberg, creating height differences between the various parts of the village. The coastline surrounding the village and the majority of the northern shore of the Kullen peninsula is mountainous.

Domsten is a locality situated in Helsingborg Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 617 inhabitants in 2010.

The current national border between Denmark and Sweden dates to 1658. It is entirely a maritime border, along Kattegat and Øresund, and in the Baltic Sea between Bornholm and Scania. The territorial waters (12 mile zone) of the two countries meet exclusively along the Øresund, extending to about 115 kilometres (71 mi), approximately between Höganäs and Falsterbo. There is one road and rail connection, the 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) long Øresund fixed link, opened in 2000, besides a number of ferry links.

Svanshall is a small fishing village on the western coast of northwest Skåne County, southwest Sweden, about 25 km north of Helsingborg. The nearest village to the south is Jonstorp; north along the coast are the villages of Skäret and Arild. The village has a small marina and lighthouse. On July 15, 1749, it was passed by Carl Linnaeus on his Scanian trip. It is a surfing location.

Jonstorp is a locality situated in Höganäs Municipality in northwestern Skåne County, Sweden. It had 1,880 inhabitants in 2010.Jonstorp located at Skälder Bay beach. Tunneberga Inn serves traditional fare and is a popular destination for families as well as bus tours. On June 6 each year organizes Byalaget 'Jonstorp Day', a feast for both villagers and visitors. During the summer, attracts also visited Kulla market with fairground and traders. The market is held by tradition always the first weekend in July with Jonstorp IF as an arranger. The football team also organizes annually a large flea market on the first Sunday in September. In addition, the village has its own sports club with both contestants and senior squad gymnasts gymnastics and an ice hockey club which traditionally had great success at the junior side! The actor Edvard Persson lived in Rekekroken outside Jonstorp from 1950 until his death and is buried in the cemetery Jonstorp. Swedish Tourist Board operates a popular hostel, STF Hostel Jonstorp, Bläsinge 1:11 in the property which was formerly a home for deaf and blind. In Skåne Business Archives in Helsingborg store archive documents from a number of older producers' cooperative societies in Jonstorp, including street lighting club, potato growers association and Jonstorp and Farhult electric cooperative. Tipifesten [edit] Each year in July arranged the great music and cultural festival, Tipifesten in the district. Behind the event is Luna Music Association, which is an ideal organization headquartered in Jonstorp. The party that is family friendly, camping paddock kept in a sheep pasture between Svanshall and Södåkra. The future is uncertain when the club has announced that 2008 is the last Tipifesten.

Mjöhult is a locality situated in Höganäs Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 292 inhabitants in 2010.

The Kulla Gunnarstorp mill is a Scanian historical landmark north of Helsingborg, Sweden, in the suburb of Hittarp. It is a smock mill with a boat-shaped cap, which is unique in Scania.

Rytterhuset (lit. "The Rider's House"), located at Nordre Strandvej 230, Ålsgårde, Helsingør Municipality, Denmarkm was built in 1889 to a national romantic design by Martin Nyrop as summer residence for the painter Frants Henningsen. The property, including a detached atelier, a jetty with a bathhouse and a number of other outbuildings, were listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1993. The ample use of wood ornamentation and polychromy are both tell-tale features of this particular architectural style. The name of the building was inspired by a relief of a horseman located above the main entrance. Barbicaia at Nordre Strandvej 232 dates from the same year and was also designed by Nyrop but has undergone considerable alterations and is therefore not listed.
