Point Pleasant Park

The Prince of Wales Tower is the oldest martello tower in North America and is located in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was built in 1796 by Captain James Straton and was used as a redoubt and a powder magazine. Restored, it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1943.

Atlantic School of Theology (AST) is a Canadian public ecumenical university that provides graduate level theological education and undertakes research to assist students to prepare for Christian ministries and other forms of public leadership. It is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and its enrolment is approximately 160 degree and non-degree students. Persons of all religious traditions, or none, are welcome to study at AST.

Purcell's Cove or Purcells Cove is a community within the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada, on the west side of Halifax Harbour from the Northwest Arm to Fergusons Cove along Route 253. The first three characters of the postal code in the area are B3P. Purcell's Cove has historically been an important location for the quarrying of granite, ironstone, and slate. In her book, Purcell's Cove: The Little Place that Helped Build Halifax City, Elsie Millington explains how important Purcell's Cove was for the building of Halifax. Many buildings in downtown Halifax including the Citadel, the historic Halifax Town Clock, the walls of the Grand Parade, and the old post office used stone produced by quarries at Purcell's Cove. The railroad in the granite quarry is thought to be the first constructed anywhere in Eastern Canada.Purcell's Cove is named after Bill Purcell who ferried people to and from Halifax in the 1940s

The Halifax Grain Elevator is an industrial facility located at the Port of Halifax in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Operating since 1925, the elevator stores and exports commodities such as grains, soybeans, and wood pellets. The elevator is operated by Halifax Grain Elevator Limited, which has a lease on the facility due to expire at the end of 2026. The 50-year development plan released by the Port of Halifax in 2022 includes infilling the berth used by the grain elevator, a decision that would affect its ability to export.

The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS) is a yacht club, the oldest in the Americas, and is located on the Northwest Arm of Halifax Harbour in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Halifax Grammar School (HGS) is an independent, coeducational day school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is located in south-end Halifax, near Saint Mary's University. Approximately 575 students attend the school. At the high school level students take the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. The Head of School is Steven Laffoley. All prospective students undergo entrance testing before being admitted. The school offers merit-based scholarships in academics, community service, and athletics.

Huskies Stadium is a Canadian football stadium at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, home to the Saint Mary's Huskies. It had a promoted capacity of 9,000 to 11,000 that is achieveable via temporary seating, but the actual permanent seating is only 2,000. It was built in 1969 for the 1970 Canada Summer Games. It has hosted many Canadian Interuniversity Sport Atlantic & Uteck Bowl national semi-final football games. On June 11, 2005, the stadium hosted an exhibition game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Toronto Argonauts to gauge Halifax's public support for a CFL franchise. The game was called "Touchdown Atlantic". For the game, the stadium's capacity was temporarily augmented to 11,000. In July 2009, new seating was added that holds up to 500 people on the east-end of the stadium. The main grandstand was demolished in Spring 2014. The site was used for football and track in 2014 with seating for fans on new east-side bleachers and on a new grassed area formerly occupied by the stadium grandstand. The university said at the time it will continue to examine options for a future new grandstand facility in the interim.On July 25, 2020 the stadium was scheduled to host Touchdown Atlantic, a regular season CFL game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but the game was ultimately rescheduled for 2022 and relocated to Wolfville, Nova Scotia due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Loyola Residence Tower (also known as the Ignatius Loyola Residence) in Halifax, Canada is a residence of Saint Mary's University completed in 1971. It is located on the main campus with a height of 67 metres accommodating up to 434 students on 22 floors. It is notable as the home of the Burke-Gaffney Observatory, part of the university's Department of Astronomy and Physics. The building also houses the St. Mary's University Art Gallery, which is situated on the ground floor.

Saint Mary's University (SMU) is a formerly Catholic, public university located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The school is best known for having nationally leading programs in business and chemistry, as well as one of the best Canadian women's basketball programs. The campus is situated in Halifax's South End and covers approximately 32 hectares (79 acres).

The Sobey School of Business is the business school of Saint Mary's University (SMU), located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Originally established in 1934 as the Saint Mary's University Faculty of Commerce, the program was one of the first business programs in Canada. The school is consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in Canada. Most recently, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) placed Sobey's MBA program in the top ten in Canada. In November, 2018, Corporate Knights placed the Sobey MBA at number 8 in its Better World MBA ranking. It is the most comprehensive business school in Atlantic Canada. In 1992, the Faculty of Commerce was renamed the Sobey School of Business after Frank H. Sobey, the founder of Empire Company Limited and Sobeys. The Sobey School of Business offers a well-respected Bachelor of Commerce program, with a wide range of specialties, including entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, computing and information systems and human resource management and industrial relations. The School also provides a range of graduate-level programs including a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Finance, a Master of Applied Economics, a Master of Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and a well-respected Ph.D. program. Also under the Sobey School's umbrella are executive and professional development courses and the Saint Mary's University Entrepreneurship Centre. The Sobey Building on the Saint Mary's University campus was built in 2000 and has been regularly updated since then. It houses offices, meeting rooms, the BComm Advising Centre, the Sobey Math Help centre and classrooms. The bright, modern building, along with the joined Loyola building, host most of the School's classes, along with computer labs, faculty and administration offices, seminar rooms, research spaces, Doctoral student offices and separate student lounges for graduate and B.Comm students. Executive education facilities are housed in suites at the Halifax World Trade and Convention Centre, located in the core of downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. The School has an campus located at BNUZ in Zhuhai, China, where a Sobey BComm in Finance program is offered to about 100 students per year.

Inglis Street is a street on the Halifax Peninsula in the Halifax Regional Municipality Nova Scotia, Canada. It runs between Barrington Street and Beaufort Avenue. It forms the northern boundary of the campus of Saint Mary's University.

The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is Canada's national museum of immigration. The museum occupies part of Pier 21, the former ocean liner terminal and immigration shed from 1928 to 1971. Pier 21 is Canada's last remaining ocean immigration shed. The facility is often compared to Ellis Island (1892–1954), in terms of its importance to mid-20th-century immigration to Canada an association it shares with 19th century immigration history at Grosse Isle, Quebec (1832–1932) and Partridge Island in Saint John, New Brunswick (1785–1941). The Museum began as an independent institution run by the Pier 21 Society in 1999. It became a national museum run by the Canadian federal government in 2011.
