Ulitsa Skobelevskaya

Yuzhnoye Butovo District (Southern Butovo, Russian: Ю́жное Бу́тово) is the biggest residential district in South-Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow, Russia. The district's history dates back to 1612, and it is named after a Don Cossack Butov. The area of the district is 27 square kilometres (10 sq mi). The population (July 2016) was 207,903.

Bulvar Admirala Ushakova (Russian: Бульва́р Адмира́ла Ушако́ва) is a station on the Butovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro system in Moscow, Russia. It was opened on 27 December 2003 along with four other stations. The station is located in Yuzhnoye Butovo District, between two other stations of the same line, Ulitsa Skobelevskaya and Ulitsa Gorchakova. The station, which name literally means Admiral Ushakov Boulevard, was named after the nearby street, and the street was named after the 18th-century Russian naval commander Fyodor Ushakov.

Ulitsa Gorchakova (Russian: У́лица Горчако́ва) is a station on the Butovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro system in Moscow, Russia. It was opened on 27 December 2003 along with four other stations. The station is located in Yuzhnoye Butovo District, between two other stations of the same line, Bulvar Admirala Ushakova and Buninskaya Alleya.

Ulitsa Starokachalovskaya (Russian: У́лица Ста́рокачаловская) is a station on the Butovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro subway system in Moscow, Russia. The station, opened with four other light metro stations on 27 December 2003. Its design is unique, as it contains two separate platforms on either side of another metro station, Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line.

Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo (Russian: Бульвар Дмитрия Донского) is a Moscow Metro station in the Severnoye Butovo District, South-Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. It is the southern terminus of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line. Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo, which opened in December 2002, is the newest station of the line. It was named for the street on which it is situated, which, in turn, is named for Dmitry Donskoy. It is also the first station of the system built outside the MKAD beltway encircling most of the city.The station offers transfers to Ulitsa Starokachalovskaya station of the Butovskaya line leading further south.

Znamenskoye-Sadki is one of the oldest country estates of Moscow. It lies in the southern section of Bitsa Park in the South-South-West of Moscow, outside today's MKAD. Since the middle of 18th century and almost until the October Revolution (1917) this estate belonged to the Trubetskoy family. In the second half of the 18th century the main house, the church and the other buildings were built. At that time the system of ponds was constructed there. Znamenskoye-Sadki was visited by many prominent men of letters and arts, the Grand Princes and Tsars. In 1787, Empress Catherine II of Russia came there with her grandsons. One of them was the future Emperor Alexander I of Russia. Pyotr Vyazemsky and Fyodor Tyutchev used to stay in the estate. On the second day after their wedding, the future parents of Leo Tolstoy visited there. They were married in the church of Yasenevo on 9 July 1822. Historian Mikhail Pogodin stayed and worked there in the 1820s. He spent a lot of time in the large library of the estate. In 1918 the main house of Znamenskoye-Sadki estate passed to a workers' cooperative. In 1929 the church was dismantled. Currently the estate is a neglected park with remaining ponds, the central house and ruins of the stables. In the restored central house there is the Institute of Nature Preservation. The constructions are closed for the general public as of 2010.

Severnoye Butovo District (Northern Butovo, Russian: Северное Бутово) is an administrative district (raion) of South-Western Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. The area of the district is 9.271 square kilometers (3.580 sq mi). Population: 95,937 (2020 est.).

Shcherbinka is a railway station of Line D2 of the Moscow Central Diameters in Moscow. It was opened in 1895 and will be rebuilt soon.

Buninskaya Alleya (Russian: Бу́нинская алле́я) is the southern terminus of the Butovskaya Line of the Moscow Metro, and the southernmost station of the entire system. It was opened on 27 December 2003. Like most other stations of the line, it is located above the ground. The station bears the name of a nearby street which is named after 20th century Russian writer Ivan Bunin. There is a possibility to extend the line further south behind the Buninskaya Alleya station, but this is not included into the extension programme until 2020. A transfer to the Sokolnicheskaya line is planned after 2023.

Lesoparkovaya (Russian: Лесопа́рковая) is a station on the Moscow Metro's Butovskaya Line, between Ulitsa Starokachalovskaya and Bittsevsky Park, The station opened for revenue service on 27 February 2014.

The Butovo Firing Range or Butovo Shooting Range (Russian: Бутовский полигон, romanized: Butovskiy poligon) was an execution site of the Soviet secret police located near Drozhzhino in Leninsky District, Moscow Oblast from 1938 to 1953. Its use for mass execution has been documented; it was prepared as a site for mass burial. According to Arseny Roginsky, "firing range" was a popular euphemism adopted to describe the mysterious and closely-guarded plots of land that the NKVD began to set aside for mass burials on the eve of the Great Terror. Butovo was used for mass executions and mass graves during Joseph Stalin's Great Purge, with 20,761 prisoners of various nationalities documented as being transported to the site and executed by the NKVD and its successor agencies. The exact number of victims executed at Butovo remains unknown as only fragmentary data has been declassified. Notable victims at Butovo include Gustav Klutsis, Seraphim Chichagov and Saul Bron; in addition, more than 1000 members of the Russian Orthodox clergy. The Russian Orthodox Church took over the ownership of Butovo in 1995, commissioning construction of a large Russian Revival memorial church, and the mass grave memorial complex can be visited daily.

Shcherbinka (Russian: Ще́рбинка) is a town, formerly in Moscow Oblast, Russia, and since July 1, 2012 a federal city subject (settlement) of Moscow, Russia. It is located 37 kilometers (23 mi) south of the center of Moscow. Population: 32,450 (2010 Census); 28,043 (2002 Census); 28,011 (1989 Census).
