The James Joyce Tower and Museum is a Martello tower in Sandycove, Dublin, where James Joyce spent six nights in 1904. The opening scenes of his 1922 novel Ulysses take place here, and the tower is a place of pilgrimage for Joyce enthusiasts, especially on Bloomsday. Admission is free.

It is a popular seaside resort and is well known for its bathing place, the Forty Foot, which in the past was reserved for men only but is now available for mixed bathing. The locale features in the opening of Ulysses by James Joyce.

Bullock Harbour or Bulloch Harbour (Irish: Cuan Bhlóic) is a small working harbour located near the heritage town of Dalkey on the southeast coast of Dublin Bay in Ireland. The current harbour quay and walls were constructed of local granite in the early 19th century where previously a rocky inlet had provided a natural harbour. Bullock Harbour is the subject of a specific local objective (SLO22) in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council's county development plan.

Glasthule ( GLAS-thool; Irish: Glas Tuathail, meaning 'O'Toole's Stream') is a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is along County Dublin’s south coast, between Dún Laoghaire and Dalkey.

Glenageary railway station (Irish: Stáisiún Ghleann na gCaorach) serves Glenageary in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. It is beside 'The Metals' (na Ráillí), a walking and cycling route that runs from Killiney Hill to Dún Laoghaire station.

Sandycove and Glasthule railway station (Irish: Stáisiún Chuas an Ghainimh agus Glas Tuathail) serves the suburban areas of Sandycove (on the coast) and Glasthule (just inland) in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. The building is on a bridge as the rail line is in a cutting. Because of the station's altitude at sea level and the consequent moisture content of the earth, the track at, and surrounding, this station is laid on concrete rather than wooden sleepers. The ticket office is open between 05:45-00:15 AM, Monday to Sunday.

Dalkey Castle (Irish: Caisleá Deilginis), formerly known as Goat Castle, is a medieval structure in Castle Street, Dalkey, Dublin, Ireland. The complex currently accommodates the Dalkey Heritage Centre, which is in the castle itself, and Dalkey Town Hall, which is formed by a single storey extension behind the original building.

St Paul's Church in Glenageary, County Dublin, is a large parish of the Diocese of Dublin and Glendalough of the Church of Ireland. The building itself is a large one in the Gothic Revival style. The church has had a distinguished history of both rectors and curates, with many of them going on to senior posts in the Church of Ireland and further afield. The current rector is The Rev Gary Dowd.

The People's Park is a small public park in the suburban town of Dún Laoghaire, south of Dublin, Ireland. Located near the East Pier of Dún Laoghaire Harbour and Glasthule, it opened in 1890, and major elements were redeveloped between 1985 and 1997, and again in 2012.

The Kingstown lifeboat disaster occurred on Christmas Eve 1895 off Kingstown (now Dún Laoghaire), Ireland, when the Kingstown lifeboat was capsized while attempting to rescue the crew of the stricken SS Palme. The crew of fifteen were lost. The event is commemorated annually at Dún Laoghaire Harbour.

Dalkey ( DAW-kee; Irish: Deilginis, meaning 'thorn island') is an affluent suburb of Dublin, and a seaside resort southeast of the city, and the town of Dún Laoghaire, in the county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown in the traditional County Dublin, Ireland. It was founded as a Viking settlement and became an active port during the Middle Ages. According to chronicler John Clyn (c.1286–c.1349), it was one of the ports through which the plague entered Ireland in the mid-14th century. In modern times, Dalkey has become a seaside suburb that attracts some tourist visitors. One of Dublin's wealthiest districts, it has been home to writers, artists, and celebrities including George Bernard Shaw, Jane Emily Herbert, Julius Olsson, Maeve Binchy, Robert Fisk, and Hugh Leonard.
