This location is in the northern portion of Kingston near Highway 401, the main highway across Southern Ontario. The terminal has 4 bays to handle 4 buses at a time. At present, Megabus/Coach Canada is the only bus line that regularly uses the terminal. The station is open between 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. daily. Coq-O-Bec Rotisserie Chicken is located within the terminal, and there is a Tim Hortons next door. Parking for cars is available at the front the building, and for buses to the rear. Local buses operating in the area of the terminal are Kingston Transit Routes 2, 7, and 16.The facility opened in 1992, replacing the old bus terminal located on Division Street south of the 401.

After the closing of Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institute, considered the oldest public secondary school in Ontario and the second oldest in Canada, students were phased into KSS. As of 2023, KSS accommodates 1,340 students, with approximately 240 being in middle school and 1,100 in secondary school.

Kingston Airfield, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, operated from 1929–1942 as Kingston's first airport. It consisted of a grass strip and supporting buildings in what is now the Kingscourt subdivision of the city, just to the west of the St. Mary's cemetery. The city of Kingston purchased what was then the Reid Farm and leased it to the Kingston Flying Club, who operated a flight school using two Gipsy Moth aircraft. The Kingston Airfield was a popular refueling stop between Toronto and Montreal, and in 1931, 1,400 transient aircraft were recorded using the field.The airport was closed in 1942 after a crash. After World War II, the Kingston Flying Club resumed operations at Norman Rogers Airport, west of the city, which had been built as a military field, and the original Kingston Airfield was redeveloped as a residential neighborhood.

Cataraqui Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1850, it predates Canadian Confederation, and continues as an active burial ground. The cemetery is 91 acres in a rural setting with rolling wooded terrain, ponds and watercourses. More than 46,000 individuals are interred within the grounds, and it is the final resting place of many prominent Canadians, including the burial site of Canada's first prime minister, John A. Macdonald. The Macdonald family gravesite, and the cemetery itself, are both designated as National Historic Sites of Canada.

Rideau Heights is a 32-hectare area in northern Kingston, Ontario consisting primarily of row-housing and low-rise apartment buildings. The area is physically isolated and economically disadvantaged. Kingston's Housing Authority has identified Rideau Heights as a pilot project for improving the area with the intent of applying the lessons learned to other social housing sites throughout the city.A regeneration strategy is being developed for Rideau Heights. The project incorporates a public and stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure that residents have opportunities to contribute.

Anchored by the Loblaws supermarket, the current Kingston Centre is, like its predecessor, located beside a Canadian Tire store and bordered by Sir John A.
