The N68 road is a national secondary road in Ireland. It runs from Ennis to Kilrush. It is entirely in County Clare.

It is located at the northern banks of Clonderalaw Bay which is connected to the River Shannon, and the R486 road passes through the village. According to the geographer Samuel Lewis, the parish contained 180 inhabitants in 1837. The 2006 population census portrayed continuing depopulation, counting 228 inhabitants compared to 252 inhabitants in 2002.The River Crompaun, which enters the Shannon near Knock, was the subject of questions in Dáil Éireann in 1949 when 14 sluices had broken down. The Commissioners of Public Works were not responsible for the repair according to minister Michael Donnelan. The fate of the sluices is unknown.

Coore (also known as Coor) (Irish: Cubhar, meaning 'angle of land') is a village in the parish of Kilmurry Ibrickane, near Mullagh and Milltown Malbay, in County Clare, Ireland. It is made up of two communities: Coore East and Coore West. Coore West is split into two parts: Coore West (east) is the place where the local church is standing. "The Most Holy Redeemer" church is built in 1865-1866, by father Patrick Moran. Coore West (west) houses Coore National School and the former "Gleeson's Pub", playground of musicians like Kitty Hayes and Junior Crehan.

Cooraclare, also known as Kilmacduane, is a parish in County Clare and part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. As of 2021, the co-parish priest was Anthony Casey.The main church of the parish is the St. Senan's Church in Cooraclare, completed in 1836. This is a cruciform church. It was built in the time that the parish was still united with Kilmihil. Stones from the mediaeval church in Kilmacduane were used for this building.The second church of the parish is the St. Mary's Church at Cree. This church was built in 1828 and predates the main church by several years.

Mullagh (Irish: Mullach, meaning 'hilltop') is a village in County Clare, Ireland. It lies not far from the Atlantic coast, some 5 km southeast of Quilty and 6.5 km south-southeast of Spanish Point. Nearby towns include Milltown Malbay (7 km to the north) and Kilrush (22 km to the south).

Killimer (Irish: Cill Íomaí, meaning 'church of Aodhamair') is a village in County Clare, Ireland, in a civil parish of the same name. It is located on the northern bank of the Shannon and the N67 which passes through the village.

Slievecallan or Slieve Callan (Irish: Sliabh Calláin), also historically called 'Mount Callan', is a mountain with a height of 391 metres (1,283 ft) in west County Clare, Ireland. It is the third highest mountain in the county. There is a small lake and two megalithic tombs on the south side, and traditionally the mountain was used for Lughnasa gatherings.
