Casselman is a village in eastern Ontario, Canada, in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. Situated on the South Nation River about 55 km (34 mi) southeast of downtown Ottawa, along the Trans-Canada Highway 417. It is served by a station on the Montreal-Ottawa Via Rail train, twice a day in each direction. Casselman is surrounded on all sides by The Nation since Casselman citizens refused to join the fusion of municipalities. The village was named after Martin Casselman who built a sawmill near the site of the current town in 1844. Its post office was established in 1857. The village installed modern water and sewer services that became operational in 1977. Casselman hosted L'écho d'un peuple, at Ferme Drouin, one of the biggest shows ever presented in Ontario, until the organization ran into financial trouble in 2008.

The Castor River is a river in eastern Ontario, in Canada. It flows from Russell, Ontario into the South Nation River near Casselman. It has a number of branches, including the North, Middle, South and East Castor Rivers which join in Embrun. The river was named for the many beaver dams found in its watershed; "castor" means "beaver" in French.

The Nation (La Nation in French) is a municipality in Eastern Ontario, located within Canada's National Capital Region, in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. Formed in 1998, the municipality consists of the former townships of Caledonia, Cambridge and South Plantagenet, as well as the Village of St. Isidore. The municipality is crossed by the South Nation River after which the municipality was named.

The St-Albert Cheese Co-operative (French: Fromagerie St-Albert) is a Franco-Ontarian co-operative that specialises in making cheese. One of the oldest co-operatives in Canada, it is known for its cheddar and its poutine curds and was named Grand Champion at the 2013 and 2014 British Empire Cheese Shows.

Lemieux is a ghost town in the Canadian province of Ontario, which was located on the shore of the South Nation River in the Prescott and Russell County township of South Plantagenet. The community was abandoned over a two-year period from 1989 to 1991, after soil testing revealed that the town was built on unstable Leda clay, a type of subsoil which can liquefy under stress, and was consequently in danger of experiencing a landslide similar to the one that destroyed the town of Saint-Jean-Vianney, Quebec in 1971. The decision to relocate the community's residents was prudent - on June 20, 1993, two years after the last remaining building at Lemieux was demolished, a landslide occurred on a farm very close to the edge of the former townsite.

Bear Brook (French: ruisseau Bear) is a small stream in the municipalities of Clarence-Rockland and The Nation, United Counties of Prescott and Russell, and the city of Ottawa in eastern Ontario, Canada. It forms in the fields and forests just north of Edwards, and flows in a mostly eastern direction to its mouth as a left tributary of the South Nation River. Communities along the brook include Edwards, Carlsbad Springs, Bearbrook, Cheney, and Bourget.

Calypso Theme Waterpark is a waterpark located in Limoges, Ontario, Canada, about 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Ottawa. The park opened to the public on June 7, 2010. The park features 35 waterslides, a wave pool (the largest in Canada) and two lazy rivers as well as a food outlets, shops, picnic areas, and a VIP area with private cabanas and suites. The park can accommodate 22,000 visitors per day. On average, the park receives 400,000 visitors each season.

North Stormont is a lower tier township in eastern Ontario, Canada in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

Cobbs Lake Creek is a creek in Prescott and Russell County in eastern Ontario, Canada, which empties into the South Nation River. In the early 1900, the Cobb Lake Drainage Scheme reduced a large area covered by water to a tiny little creek. The goal of the project (which cost 60 000$ at the time) was to expend agricultural production and to allow farmers to sow at an earlier date the flooded part of their farms. Nowadays, Cobbs Lake is a large shallow lake which forms around the creek during the spring thaw. Fields are found around the lake, and these fields are flooded during the early spring expanding the lake even more. This causes problems for local residents since it also floods nearby side roads. Thousands of migrating snow geese, Canada geese, and many dabbling ducks, such as northern shovelers and pintails, stop over in this location during the spring. The heavy clay soils of the region were deposited by the Champlain Sea, a shallow arm of the Atlantic which extended into this region at the end of the last ice age.
