Kealkill (Irish: An Chaolchoill) is a small village in County Cork, Ireland, located 10.3 kilometres from Bantry and 75.8 kilometres from Cork City. Its amenities include a church, a shop, a school, a community playgroup, two public houses and a GAA club (St Colum's).

Kealkill stone circle is a Bronze Age axial five-stone circle located just outside the village of Kealkill, County Cork in southwest Ireland. When it was excavated in 1938 it was thought the crucial axial stone indicated an alignment to the north, contrary to the general alignment of such stone circles to the southwest. However, later archaeologists have thought it is the comparatively insignificant stone to the southwest that is the axial stone. There are two associated standing stones nearby, one of which had fallen and was re-erected in 1938.

Breeny More Stone Circle is an axial stone circle and National Monument located in County Cork, Ireland.

Bantry (Irish: Beanntraí) is a barony in the west of County Cork in Ireland. Patrick Weston Joyce said the name Beanntraí means "descendants of Beann [Ban]", a son of Conchobar mac Nessa; similarly for the Wexford barony of Bantry. The barony borders the top end the southern shore of Bantry Bay. On the opposite shore is the barony of Bear. It is also bordered by Carbery West (West Division to the south and East Division to the southeast) and Muskerry West to the northeast. To the north is County Kerry.

St Colum's is a Gaelic Athletic Association junior A club in both hurling and football in the Carbery division, located in Treanamadaree, County Cork, Ireland.

The Mealagh Valley is located just outside the town of Bantry, in the south-west of Ireland. It has one school. The Mealagh Valley is noted for its many Celtic monuments such as ringforts, tombs and standing stones. The Mealagh Valley is about 1.5 hours from Cork Airport. The Mealagh River runs through the centre of the valley with the Mealach Beag (Irish, English translation: Small Mealagh), its only tributary. Mealach is Irish for Honey as it has a large amount of wild bees in its environs.

Ballylickey or Ballylicky (Irish: Béal Átha Leice) is a village on the N71 national secondary road and Bantry Bay near Bantry, County Cork, Ireland. The Ouvane River flows into Bantry Bay at Ballylickey.

Ballylickey House & Garden Lodges now offer unique, luxury self-catering accommodation in the heart of West Cork. Ballylickey House is a defunct restaurant in Ballylickey, County Cork, Ireland. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1975. The Egon Ronay Guide awarded the restaurant one star during the 1975–1982 period.The restaurant was part of Ballylickey Manor House. Although the building remains, the restaurant has closed down.

Trawlebane (also Tralibane) is a townland in western County Cork, Ireland. Birthplace to Francis O'Neill (1848-1936). O'Neill grew up on his family farm near the bridge. There is a bronze plaque in his honour near the bridge in Trawlebane. Not far from the bridge is a statue of Francis O'Neill along with other commemorative plaques. The area is officially known as "Trawlebane" although O'Neill spelled it "Tralibane". Today, it is described as being in the Electoral Division of Gortnascreeny, in Civil Parish of Caheragh, in the Barony of West Carbery (West Division), in the County of Cork.The Irish name for Trawlebane is Trá Líobáin.

Bantry Blues is a Gaelic football club based in Bantry, County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club is affiliated with Cork GAA and to the Carbery division. The club has always been primarily a Gaelic football club, but has fielded hurling teams also. In 2010, the hurling section was reformed.

Priest's Leap (Gaelic Léim an tSagairt) is a steep and nearly straight single-lane mountain pass between Coomhola Bridge and the village of Bonane east of the more winding road from Bantry to Kenmare in Ireland. Just below the summit of the 519 m high mountain with the same name, it is the highest pass road in Munster at 463m, crossing from County Cork to County Kerry.
