Ballyboden St Enda's (CLG Baile Buadáin Naomh Éanna in Irish) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Knocklyon, South Dublin, Republic of Ireland. The Club serves the Rathfarnham, Knocklyon, Ballycullen, Ballyboden, Ballyroan, Firhouse areas. They offer hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, handball, and rounders. They were founded in 1969 after the merger of 2 clubs in the Rathfarnham area – the Ballyboden Wanderers (founded 1910) and Rathfarnham St. Endas (founded 1966). Their homeground, Páirc Uí Mhurchú is located on the Firhouse Road. It was named Páirc Uí Mhurchú in 1984, in honour of founding member and first chairman of Ballyboden St Enda's, Ned Murphy (Éamonn Ó Murchú) (1908–1981). According to The Irish Times, Ballyboden is "almost certainly... the biggest sports club in Europe", with 172 teams representing it in 2020.

Faughs GAA Club (Irish: CLG Fág an Bealach) is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) hurling and camogie club in Templeogue, Dublin, Ireland. They have won 31 titles.

Firhouse (Irish: Teach na Giúise) is an outer suburb of Dublin, in the county of South Dublin, in the south of the traditional County Dublin, Ireland. It developed from a rural village by the River Dodder, with a second settlement, Upper Fir-house, nearby. It is just outside the M50 orbital motorway, and in the postal district of Dublin 24. It is adjacent to Knocklyon (with which it shares a townland) and Ballycullen, and close to Tallaght. In the historic divisions of local administration, Firhouse is in the civil parish of Tallaght and the barony of Uppercross.

St MacDara's Community College (Irish: Coláiste Pobail MhicDara Naofa) is a secondary school situated on Wellington Lane, Templeogue in South Dublin. It is run by a Board of Management appointed by the Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (previously the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee (C.D.V.E.C)) and the Catholic Archdiocese of Dublin, and including community representatives, and is a non-fee paying school.

Ballycullen (Irish: Baile Uí Chuillinn) is a townland and suburb of Dublin, Ireland. Ballycullen is a townland in the civil parish of Tallaght, located in Dublin 16 and Dublin 24. The Ballycullen Road is the historical divide between Dublin 24 and Dublin 16. The estates which comprise Ballycullen exist on both sides of the road, with most of Ballycullen existing in D24. Ballycullen (D24), Knocklyon (D16), Tallaght (D24) and Firhouse (D24) all adjoin each other and the defining borders are Firhouse Road, Ballycullen Road, Old Court Road, Dale Tree Road and Gunny Hill. The area is served by Dublin Bus routes 15, 49 and 65b.

St Jude's (Irish: Naomh Jude) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Templeogue on the southside of Dublin. The club fields teams in all four codes of the Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football. Teams are fielded from Senior Grade right down to under eight level, the club also run a very popular academy which caters for children from four years of age to seven years of age and is open to all and free of charge.

National Basketball Arena, also known as Tallaght Arena, is an indoor sporting arena located in Tymon Park, Tallaght, South Dublin, adjacent to the M50 motorway. The capacity of the arena is 2,500 people and it opened in January 1993. It is used mainly for basketball events, but has also hosted other indoor sports, most notably futsal, as well as exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.

Uppercross (Irish: An Chrois Uachtarach) is a historical barony in southern County Dublin, Ireland. Baronies were mainly cadastral rather than administrative units. They acquired modest local taxation and spending functions in the 19th century before being superseded by the Local Government (Ireland) Act 1898.

Sancta Maria College is a girls' Catholic voluntary secondary school in Ballyroan, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland. The school is governed by a board of management. There are approximately 525 students and 34 permanent teachers. It is run by the Sisters of Mercy.

The Young European Strings (YES) School of Music is located in Dublin, Ireland and specialises in the early development and training of young professional musicians. The YES School of Music provides tuition for the violin, viola, cello and double bass. The Young European Strings Chamber Orchestra (YESCO) has performed throughout Europe and has released three albums to date.

Ballyroan (Irish: Baile Uí Ruáin, meaning 'O'Rowan's town') is a suburb in Rathfarnham, County Dublin in Ireland. It lies at the foot of the Dublin mountains, alongside Ballyboden, Butterfield, Knocklyon, Old Orchard, and Scholarstown. The townland of Ballyroan crosses civil parish and barony boundaries with roughly 114 acres of the historical townland in the civil parish of Tallaght in the barony of Uppercross, and nearly 10 acres in the civil parish of Rathfarnham in the barony of Rathdown. The modern suburb of Ballyroan has extended somewhat beyond the traditional townland boundaries.The centre of Ballyroan contains the Ballyroan Community & Youth Centre, the Rosemount Shopping Centre, the parish church which opened in December 1967 and which possesses two murals inside by the artist, Seán Keating, and the Ballyroan public library which opened in 1986. The library closed in September 2011 and was demolished. A new library twice the size of the original was built at the same site at a cost of €2.6 million and opened on 18 February 2013.

Ashfield College is a private post-primary school founded in 1977 and located in Dundrum in Dublin, Ireland. The school offers preparation for the Leaving Certificate examination, both as a two-year leaving certificate senior cycle, but also as a one-year (Repeat Leaving Cert.) programme. The school also caters for overseas students wishing to study in Ireland for the Irish leaving certificate. Twenty one leaving certificate subjects are taught at the school, and the school uses e-learning facilities (such as Moodle), and students can access course material, including recorded lectures online. As well as the popular subjects for the leaving cert some less common leaving cert subjects of Arabic, Agricultural Science and Classical Studies are also available at Ashfield. The school offers a career guidance service to students with advice on academic and career issues, such as advice on completing the Irish CAO college application process or the UK UCAS system. The school also provides tuition programmes at weekends and in the evenings for students sitting the Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate, also during mid-term, Christmas and Easter school holidays intense revision courses are available. Before start of the school year there is a Pre-Leaving Cert preparation course run, this is a week where students can enroll to improve their ability in a subject or subjects which they will be studying for in the leaving cert. The college also offers grinds in some Junior Certificate subjects, such as English, Irish and Mathematics.The Christmas Intensive Revision Course for Leaving and Junior Cert. takes place in the first week of January. The Easter Revision exam preparation course take place over the Easter school holidays. Prior to the Leaving Cert exams a final revision course and exam workshop is available usually held in the last week of May. Ashfield run specific courses for the oral Irish, French and Spanish Leaving Cert exams. These programmes include five hours tuition as well as a mock oral examinations to prepare students for the official exam.
