The Monument to the Liberators of Soviet Latvia and Riga from the German Fascist Invaders, unofficially known simply as the Victory Monument, was a memorial complex in Victory Park, Pārdaugava, Riga, Latvia, erected in 1985 to commemorate the Red Army soldiers that recaptured Riga and the rest of Latvia at the end of World War II (1944–1945). The complex consisted of a 79-metre tall obelisk that consisted of five columns topped by five-pointed star, and two groups of sculptures – Homeland the Mother (Dzimtene-māte, Родина-мать) and a band of three soldiers.The monument was the subject of long-standing controversy in modern Latvian society, concerning the historical memory of World War II and the legacy of Soviet rule. Many ethnic Latvians regarded it not as a symbol of liberation, but rather start of the Soviet re-occupation. The monument's obelisk was sometimes referred to in Latvian as "Moscow's Finger" (Maskavas pirksts) or okupeklis (a portmanteau of okupācija – 'occupation' and piemineklis – 'monument'), and juxtaposed to the Freedom Monument.Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, a decision was made to finally remove the monument. The demolition began 22 August 2022 and on 25 August 2022, the obelisk was toppled.

Jānis Skredelis' stadium (Latvian: Jāņa Skredeļa stadions), formerly Sporta komplekss "Arkādija", is a multi-use stadium in Riga, Latvia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It used to be the home stadium of Football club RFS. The stadium holds 250 people.

Victory Park (Latvian: Uzvaras parks) is a park in Riga, located on the left bank of the Daugava, in the district of Āgenskalns.The modern area of the park is 36.7 hectares.

Torņakalns Station is a railway station in the neighbourhood of Torņakalns in Riga, Latvia, located on the western bank of the Daugava River. Torņakalns Station is located on the Riga–Jelgava and Riga–Tukums railway lines. The station opened in 1868 as the northern terminus of the Riga–Jelgava railway line. From 1872, however, all trains were continued from the station via the Iron Bridge across the Daugava to the current Riga Central Station. In 1877, Torņakalns Station also became the eastern terminus of the Torņakalns–Tukums railway line.

Church of Luther (Latvian: Lutera Evaņģēliski luteriskā baznīca), or Torņakalns Church (Latvian: Torņakalna baznīca) after its geographical location in Torņakalns, is a Lutheran church in Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is a parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia. The church is situated at the address 3/5 Torņakalns Street.It is built in the traditional neo-gothic architectural style, with soaring arches, a tall spire, and a traditional cruciform shape. It is noted for its massive iron chandeliers.

Torņakalns Memorial to Victims of Communist Terror (Latvian: Komunistiskā terora upuru piemiņas vieta Torņakalnā) is a monument located at Torņakalns Station in Riga, Latvia. The memorial place is dedicated to the residents of Latvia who were deported in June 1941. Initially, it was planned to place the memorial on the Esplanāde, but later it was decided to place it near the Torņakalns Station. The memorial is made up of five chipped stone figures, symbolizing "destroyed family hearths and three exiled generations". There is a goods wagon and a memorial to the deported Latvian residents near the station building. The memorial stone with the inscription "1941" is a rough boulder, it's 1.2 m high.The memorial stone near the station building was unveiled in 1990, its author is the sculptor Ojārs Feldbergs, on June 14, 1996, a goods wagon was placed near the stone. The sculptor of the stone images of the memorial is Pauls Jaunzems, the architect is Juris Poga, it was opened on June 14, 2001 by the then president of Latvia, Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga.In December 2012, the second phase of the memorial was opened, black stone plaques were placed near the memorial. The third phase of the memorial is also planned - an information center about deportations will be located in the building of the Torņakalna railway station.

Āgenskalns Market (Latvian: Āgenskalna tirgus) is the oldest marketplace on the left bank of Daugava in Riga. Āgenskalns Market’s building is one of the examples of 20th-century rational Art Nouveau.

Latvian Railway History Museum (Latvian: Latvijas dzelzceļa vēstures muzejs) is a railway museum with expositions in Riga and in Jelgava, dedicated to the history of railway and its development in Latvia . The museum is a structural unit of the company "Latvijas dzelzceļš". The museum has the largest collection of wide-gauge vehicles in the Baltics.

Riga Cathedral Choir School is a state-run school in Riga, Latvia for boys and girls aged 7 to 18. It provides both musical and general education, and has a well-known boys' choir as well as a girls' choir. The school was created on July 12, 1994.
