Old Goucher College Buildings is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is an approximate 18-block area in the middle of Baltimore which developed in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The neighborhood is characterized generally by two- and three-story brick row houses constructed mostly in the 19th century and several large-scale institutional and commercial buildings dating from both centuries. Stylistically, the area is characterized primarily by Italianate, Romanesque, Colonial Revival, and Art Deco influences. The area once served as a campus for the Women's College of Baltimore, now Goucher College, until the school relocated to Towson. The school was named for clergyman John Goucher, who once served as a pastor at Lovely Lane Church.The district includes a series of large scale, multiple story brick and stone structures built for college. Three buildings designed by the nationally famous architect Stanford White are found here. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The former main campus building has been converted into the Baltimore Lab School, and many of the other structures have been re-purposed for commercial and residential use. The site has been the focus of a number of preservation efforts by local advocacy groups.

25th Street Station was a proposed mixed use development to be located in the Remington, Old Goucher, and Charles Village neighborhoods of central Baltimore. It received final design approval from Baltimore's Planning Commission on December 16, 2010, and was to commence construction in early 2011, with a 2012 opening. The development would have included 330,000 square feet (31,000 m2) of retail space, including a Walmart and Lowe's as anchor tenants, with an array of smaller retailers and 70 apartments. As of October 2011 construction of 25th Street Station has not begun yet and the Lowe's is no longer an anchor.On May 20, 2014, the project's primary developer, WV Urban Developments, withdrew from the project, citing numerous ongoing legal issues and challenges as the cause. The WV Urban's project manager for the site upon the announcement of its withdrawal stated, "WV Urban Developments is no longer pursuing its 25th Street Station project. As you are well aware, the project has been the target of numerous appeals and filings by opponents, which have delayed the project for years." The appeals were stated to "have contributed to an environment sufficiently uncertain that the relevant parties are unable to reach the agreements necessary for WV to continue." WV Urban Developments had spent more than $5 million in planning costs and attorney's fees defending the project against lawsuits that had been dismissed but appealed. As of August 2015, the 25th Street Station project is essentially dead, as WV Urban Developments sold the land that was to be used for the 25th Street Station project to a new developer, Seawall Development Co. (who has a proven track record of locally-oriented development and community engagement within Baltimore City) in late-2014 who on March 17, 2015 agreed with the communities that surrounded this project that they would not develop the property in accordance to the 25th Street Station PUD and the November 21, 2013 decision by the Baltimore City Planning Commission (essentially killing the proposed Walmart that was highly controversial from the original proposal) and would not oppose to a potential action by the Baltimore City Council and the Planning Commission to cancel or repeal the 25th Street Station PUD in exchange for the dismissal of two appeals pending within the Maryland Court of Special Appeals that was filed in opposition of the 25th Street Station project.The proposed site is bounded by West 25th Street to the north, Maryland Avenue to the east, West 24th Street to the south, and the CSX Railroad line to the west.

James E. Hooper House is a historic home located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a large Queen Anne style freestanding masonry structure, situated among the buildings of the Old Goucher College Buildings complex. It is a rectangular building with a steeply pitched gable roof, a small, two-story wing extending, and a 2+1⁄2-story bay window extension, with a small gable roof. There are two stories in the main section of the house, and two more stories in the gable. It is constructed of dark red bricks with terra cotta, brownstone, and granite trim. The exterior features a slate shingle roof, and a square oriel, three bays wide and one bay deep, made of wood, and painted green. The house was constructed in 1886 for James E. Hooper (1839–1908).James E. Hooper House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In 2001, the building was purchased by Morphius Development Consortium, who returned the exterior wood trim to its original green color and restored other various interior features, including multiple pocket doors and hand cut decorative wooden wall panels. The building is currently the headquarters of Morphius Records and Lord Baltimore Recording Studio.

The Ottobar is a music venue in the Charles Village neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. In 2018 the Ottobar was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone Magazine. The Washington Post describes it as a "bastion of sub-mainstream music...where the insular community of artists and scenesters flock to hear the best touring bands." It also hosts theme events, dance parties, and an occasional burlesque show.

Baltimore Lab School is a nonpublic school for bright children in grades 1–12. Baltimore Lab School provides a unique educational opportunity for students with moderate-to-severe learning differences. Baltimore Lab School is located in Baltimore, Maryland in Goucher Hall (one of the historic Old Goucher College Buildings) built by renowned architect Stanford White. The school was founded in September 2000 as a division of its parent school in Washington D.C., The Lab School of Washington. Both schools were founded and administered by Sally Smith, a nationally recognized leader in special education, until her death in 2007. Baltimore Lab School offers its students and the public clinical services, including speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and psychological services. Individual or small group related service sessions are offered on an outpatient basis or through pull-out or push-in services for an extra fee. All students are able to benefit from these on-site specialists through services integrated into instruction. Baltimore Lab is a training site for interns from Temple University, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University, Towson University, Goucher College, and Maryland Institute College of Art. These students complete an internship under the supervision of Baltimore Lab's teaching staff. Baltimore Lab School faculty members are invited to speak at local universities and professional conferences. Baltimore Lab School offers a low student-to-staff ratio.The school also offers after-school activities and sports, such as cross country, indoor rock-climbing, tennis, track and field, basketball, and swimming, as well as many field trips to further enhance the learning experience of students. Baltimore Lab School also partners with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to organize a multitude of outdoor learning experiences for students of all ages. Baltimore Lab School's 9th commencement exercises took place in June 2016. The commencement speaker was James Piper Bond, President of Living Classrooms Foundation. Previous commencement speakers have included Fred Lazarus, who at the time was President of Maryland Institute College of Art. In March 2014, Baltimore Lab School began operating fully independently from Lab School of Washington. The building that houses the school was purchased from Washington Lab.

Lovely Lane United Methodist Church, formerly known as First Methodist Episcopal Church and earlier founded as Lovely Lane Chapel, is a historic United Methodist church located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The building on St. Paul Street and 22nd Streets in the Charles Village (then originally named "Peabody Heights") neighborhood in the northern area of the city, was designed by renowned New York City architect Stanford White, (1853–1906) in the Romanesque Revival style, and completed in 1884, as the "Centennial Monument of American Methodism". It is patterned after the early churches and basilicas in Ravenna, Italy. The exterior is constructed of a gray ashlar granite with limited ornamentation. It features a square bell tower patterned after the campanile of the 12th century church of Santa Maria, Abbey of Pomposa, near Ravenna. The pulpit is a reproduction of the one at St. Apollinaris, in Ravenna. Locally influential architect Charles L. Carson was supervising architect for the McKim, Mead & White firm from New York City during construction of the church. Lovely Lane Methodist Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

American Ice Company Baltimore Plant No. 2 is a historic ice manufacturing plant located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It consists of two industrial buildings: an original two story stone ice manufacturing building built in 1905 and a brick ice storage addition, built in 1919, is an immense, nearly windowless structure with the height of a six-story building.American Ice Company Baltimore Plant No. 2 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

H.F. Miller & Son Tin Box and Can Manufacturing Plant, or the American Can Company, Miller Factory, and now Miller Court is a historic can manufacturing plant located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was erected in three stages between 1890 and about 1910. It is a four-story brick manufacturing plant. The exterior features decorative brickwork, multiple window forms, and substantial construction typical of the period. The interior features chamfered posts, closely spaced joists, and fire doors.The building has been redeveloped as Miller's Court with 40 apartments, as well as office and project space for public and charitable agencies. Apartments in the $20 million project were marketed to Baltimore public school teachers. The first tenants moved in during July 2009.H.F. Miller & Son Tin Box and Can Manufacturing Plant was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Oak Street Garage is an historic automotive storage and repair facility at 2600 North Howard Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The single story Beaux Arts style building was built in 1924 and expanded in 1927. The building has a roughly trapezoidal shape, with a triangular office area in the front and two garage bays in the rear, the second (the 1927 addition) a few steps down from the first. The building is finished in brick. It was first used by Neely and Ensor, a manufacturer of high-end carriages that had branched out into the automotive field.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

St. Paul Street and Calvert Street are a one-way pair of streets in Downtown Baltimore and areas north. The streets, which are part of Maryland Route 2, are two of Baltimore's best-known streets in the downtown area.

Remington is a neighborhood in northern Baltimore bordered to the north by Hampden, Wyman Park, and Johns Hopkins University and to the east by Charles Village. The southernmost boundary is North Avenue and the long southwestern boundary is formed by Falls Road in the I-83 corridor. The neighborhood is split between two Baltimore City Council Districts (District 14, currently represented by Odette Ramos, and District 12, currently represented by Robert Stokes).

The Baltimore Streetcar Museum (BSM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit museum. It is located at 1911 Falls Road (MD 25) in Baltimore, Maryland. The museum is dedicated to preserving Baltimore's public transportation history, especially the streetcar era.
