Porter High School is a school that opened in 2010 in unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas. It is the second high school to New Caney Independent School District. The school is home of the Spartans athletic teams. Its school colors are black and red. Porter High School opened in August 2010 and had a price of $16 million, including the costs of the land, the buildings, and the furnishings.Porter High School serves a portion of Porter Heights, a portion of the overall Porter area, and the portion of Houston in Montgomery County.

The school has received recognition for its JROTC program, band, journalism program, DECA program and Academic Decathlon team. New Caney High School offers Advanced Placement courses, athletics, career and technology courses, dual credit, National Honor Society, and a host of special programs.

Infinity Early College High School (Infinity ECHS) is a secondary public school in Porter, Texas, and is part of the New Caney Independent School District. Infinity ECHS partners with Lone Star College Kingwood to offer students both a diploma and associate's degree. Infinity ECHS is classified as an AAA school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). The school colors, purple and black, are a blend of blue and red, paying homage to the former New Caney and Porter High School.

Lone Star College-Kingwood, until 2007 Kingwood College (KC), is a community college in the Kingwood section of Houston, Texas, United States. Lone Star College-Kingwood is a part of the Lone Star College System. The college offers many academic courses, specialized workforce programs, and career and technical education programs in addition to the standard two-year degrees. Offerings include teaching, nursing, dental hygiene, respiratory care, occupational therapy, and computing programs. The campus currently has nine buildings, and the 10th, Health Professions Center, will open in spring 2022.

Christian Life Center Academy (CLCA) is a private, college preparatory Christian school serving primary, secondary and postgraduate students located in the Kingwood area of Houston. Kingwood Park High School (K-Park) is a high school located within the Kingwood community of Houston, Texas, United States. Kingwood Park is a part of the Humble Independent School District. On average, Kingwood Park serves approximately 1,700 students. In 2008 the school was classified as a 4A school and reclassified in 2014 as a 5A school, putting it in District 21-5A. The school's mascot is the black panther, and its colors are silver, forest green and black. In December 2011, Larry Cooper retired from being principal of Kingwood Park High School. The current principal is Wes Solomon.

Grand Texas Theme Park is a theme park currently planned near Houston, Texas, in the United States. It will be located within the Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District in New Caney, Montgomery County at Interstate 69 (US Highway 59) and SH 242. in Patton Village. Site work began in July 2013, and groundbreaking was in December 2017. It will feature seven theme areas related to Texas history and culture.

Cypress Creek is a stream that flows from Snake Creek and Mound Creek in Waller County, Texas to its mouth at Spring Creek in Harris County, Texas. It is part of the Cypress Creek watershed, and flows into the west fork of the San Jacinto River watershed- eventually flowing to the Gulf of Mexico. The banks of this creek were a settling location for German immigrants in the 1840s. The settlement was later named the city of Cypress, Texas.
